I was anxious to try this spot since both of us really loved Kimzey's when it was here. If I'm being honest, I think the overall spot and vibe fits best as a coffee shop but I went in with an open mind. The vibe works: they did a phenomenal job incorporating alpine decor and making you feel like you're in the alps. The service was friendly and we were checked on numerous times during our meal. Really no complaints! Food was also pretty good! I got the mountain melt, which was delicious. Fries were solid! My husband had the BBQ chicken mountain pie, which was also pretty solid. I loved my sandwich, just wish there was more! Prices were a little high for what you get, but overall we really enjoyed our meals and will likely be back again!

Monsieur Alpine with housemade chips and a side of ranch for dipping

This new place opened up not long ago in the space that was Kimzey's. The food was good, my dad and I had the Monsieur Alpine with housemade chips and the white chicken green chili and my mom had the root salad. We got there shortly after opening on a Friday and good thing because it filled up superfast! You order at the counter and take a number to your table anywhere you want to sit and they bring the food to you. Service was quick and the food was nice and hot. It's a little odd and quirky feeling, but something new. We knew several people who came in shortly after us and everyone was enjoying what they ordered.

Today was my first visit to this new restaurant. Terrific menu with a great variety of sandwiches, soups and salads. I chose the Apres Brie (gourmet grilled cheese) with Parmesan cheese French fries. It was delicious, and the fries are so good! They also have meals prepared in the market area for those nights you need help with quick dinner ideas. They have a gondola in the market area you can sit in and eat. Fits the little chalet decor. Definitely worth a visit and I will be a returning customer.

Amazing place!!! I got the Cobb, my grandma got the Brie Grilled Cheese, and my dad and sister got the Chicken Salad Sandwich. The whole family love it!!! The costumer service was great, Jessica was very kind and made our experience even better!

The food selection was broad, but not too busy. I ordered the Oxbow Sourdough Burger. The meat patty was thick, seasoned well, and made to perfection. It had mushrooms, cheese, and bacon. The bacon was thick and crisp. Yum! The French fries were to die for! They have truffle, sweet potato, and garlic. I ordered a mix of sweet potato and garlic. I highly recommend both. The truffles were on top of the fries, if that is how you like them, but the sweet and garlic fries were a HIT! They had a myriad of drinks and sweets and the ambience is so country chic and the restrooms were beautifully decorated AND spotless! Now the best part. The staff was SUPER friendly! You could tell they wanted to be there. We were there for the last hour and they were all so warm and welcoming! One girl even volunteered to take a family pic of us as we were headed out. This is a hidden gem that I will definitely return to! Thank you for the wonderful dining experience!

You can sit in or outside with your fur babies which is a rarity Menu is fresh, albeit a little pricey in my opinion. 2 burgers and a grilled cheese was 76 bucks. Also be careful as they automatically tip at check out and you order inside and they bring the food to you. Thats it. You fill and refill your own drinks and there is no table service. All in all it was a good experience and was pleasant outside on a nice Saturday for brunch. Well definitely be back since they are so dog friendly.

Had an awesome lunch today. Spent the weekend in DFW, coming home on IH-35W heading to Denton…read more Ended up passing the exit for my brother's old home. Saw a highway sign for 'Gyro & Grill' and instantly had a craving for it. Had to drive another 2-miles for the u-turn to get back. The drive up to this new commerce mall was nice, e erything looked new. The new giant Kroger not open yet. Was immediately greeted by the manager, Biko was his name. Immediately the Peter Gabriel song comes to mind, and now it's ear worming me. LOL Menu was bright and easy to read, just gotta figure out the naming system, as this is more middle eastern branded than Greek. I went with Pita & Hummus for "appetizer". It was really good, the Pita was fresh as was the Red Pepper Hummus. I also ordered a side of Falafel with Tzatziki sauce. OMG! These were really yummy!! One of rhe best I've had. For my main dish, I ordered the Gyro Pita Sandwich with 'Greek Fries', which means they're heavily sauced with sauce of choice, mine being a heavy garlic sauce. Also ordered an extra side of their 'beef kofta' to give it a try. The entire meal was delicious!! Everything cooked to perfection and assembled to an eye please treat. Will definitely return and encourage others to go out of their way to try this new restaurant in the Argyle/North Lake area. About 3/4 a mile east off IH-35W at Exit 76. Place is spotless clean, quiet atmosphere, and the staff was so friendly and helpful ... thank you Biko, his daughter Sara, and Dillon. I will return when in the area!

We hadn't been since their renovation. Yayyy, Earl's! Not so fast. The prices have gone up quite a bit and the quality, way down. We ordered the Italian Cobb and it was good but a bit sparse - not packed full of all the yumminess it's made of anymore. Nonna's meatballs were the biggest disappointment. They have gone up almost $5 I believe and whoever's Nonna made them, overcooked or microwaved them to death. They used to be SO good! Now, they aren't. We ordered 3 pizzas - the Bianca, the Margherita and the BBQ Arezzo. The Bianca was good, the Margherita was good but a little sparse and the BBQ Arezzo was awful. Like, nobody would eat it awful and that's pretty bad. I don't know if ingredients were bad or what but there was little to no sauce and it was just...bad. So bad that I called and spoke to the manager that offered a free pizza - NO thanks - or a refund. I opted for the refund and because we still have not gotten a refund for the 1 pizza only, I decided to write a review. We have literally been going to Earl's for YEARS and it has always been amazing. I looked past the prices going up because the price of food had gone up but when nobody will eat the food because it tastes horrible or is overcooked and we have spent close to $100, I'm out. Not sure what's going on but they definitely need a new Nonna to whip them back into shape.

Fortunately, it did not occur too often. The half and half in my coffee had leaked into the bottom of the nearly empty container. My waitress promptly replaced it with a container from a nearby booth. While sipping my coffee, I noticed an unusual texture on the rim. The mug had a slight chip, but I managed to overlook it. Instead of taking my food order when she served my coffee, she immediately left to attend to other tables. This unexpected delay gave me a chance to admire the muffins displayed in the case. When I spotted a Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip muffin, I decided to order a light breakfast and went with the Chorizo Tacos. Holding the tortilla prevent the toppings from falling out was a bit of a challenge. The red salsa lacked heat, while the green salsa provided a pleasant kick. Both salsas had softened the tortillas, making them unable to hold the ingredients securely. My hash browns were my favorite style--crispy on top and moist on the inside. If I had not planned on ordering a muffin, I would have easily enjoyed more than a couple bites. For someone who enjoys the combination of chocolate and peanut butter, the Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip muffin was delicious. Most of the chocolate chips were placed on top, with a smaller amount mixed into the batter. If I wanted a less chocolatey experience, I could simply skip the muffin top. But why would I do that?
