As I was approaching the door, I was concerned I would be the sole customer, but I saw one of the tables was occupied. It was actually seated by the co-owner and her daughter. On my way out did additional customers arrive. The restaurant had changed since my last visit years ago. The door to the adjacent dining area had been permanently removed. Making more available to diners. Sadly, no longer are freshly made muffins displayed by the register. Although I ordered the Breakfast Quesadilla with sausage, the quesadilla was made with bacon instead. The corn tortillas were brittle similar to hard-shelled taco shells. The portion was generous as I barely ate half of it. As I was paying, it was awkward being requested a gratuity. The only employees present were the owners. The prices on the menu have increased at least once, so they could be increased again. read more

Your need to come here! So far the best chicken sandwich we have found in the area. We actually drive 30 minutes to have it. We sat outside on the patio so that makes even better. Finally we have to talk about Mike and his wife, they are so engaging and kind people and they make sure you have everything you need. Do yourself a favor and try this place! read more

We've been here a few times and have been very happy with our experience each time. The people are so friendly and kind and make us feel welcome with our three rowdy little boys. The food is great too. We love the Greek chicken paninis. It's the perfect cozy place to wind down and get a fresh cooked meal after a busy day out. We will keep coming back! read more

Food was amazing! BLTA was so yummy all food looked delicious. Place in update flux and expanding to add dinner menu so a little more chaotic than sometimes but still had attentive service. Will definitely go back! One tip for restaurant - water was not drinkable. Not sure why - is this just an issue in Argyle? Recommend shift to using bottled/filtered water. read more

Great food and service. I first found this location when my wife had an appointment at a nearby business. I needed coffee and happened in and had a great latte. We came back for breakfast one Sunday and it was terrific. Breakfast quesadilla for me and a traditional breakfast for my wife - the food was fantastic and I can't wait to return. read more

What a great find in downtown Argyle. This place was a great brunch spot to have a nice intimate breakfast with my husband. Wonderful place to go if you wanted to have a girls brunch before hitting some shopping or spa time in Highland Village and Flower Mound. Service was wonderful! Finally gave them a try! Nice people but with lots of issues I did not sign up for, when all I wanted was breakfast with my wife. We ordered and was told pancakes would take 15 minutes. Due to orders already turned into the cook, it's a very small kitchen Our order took almost every bit of 50 minutes. I was not impressed. Based on the quality of the food and time of the service I would not visit here again. You have great breakfast locations close to this restaurant. Unless you have all day to go out and have a nice breakfast, I would not go to this place! read more

Been going through this little Bistro since we moved to the area and it does not disappoint. Have done breakfast and lunch, both delicious! They have board games tucked away to play with your children or you can sit outside and enjoy a shaded table with a friend for coffee. Stopped in for a weekday lunch, and the food was delicious! We tried the honey mustard croissant sandwich and southwest wrap. The cucumber salad is so flavorful, and you can tell all the ingredients they use are FRESH!! This was the best/closest to homemade food we've had in a while. I will say, it may not be the place to stop if you are in a hurry. We intended to have a quick lunch before getting back to work and it took about an hour, but I can't fault them for us coming during a busy time. Fortunately, it did not occur too often. The half and half in my coffee had leaked into the bottom of the nearly empty container. My waitress promptly replaced it with a container from a nearby booth. While sipping my coffee, I noticed an unusual texture on the rim. The mug had a slight chip, but I managed to overlook it. Instead of taking my food order when she served my coffee, she immediately left to attend to other tables. This unexpected delay gave me a chance to admire the muffins displayed in the case. When I spotted a Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip muffin, I decided to order a light breakfast and went with the Chorizo Tacos. Holding the tortilla prevent the toppings from falling out was a bit of a challenge. The red salsa lacked heat, while the green salsa provided a pleasant kick. Both salsas had softened the tortillas, making them unable to hold the ingredients securely. My hash browns were my favorite style--crispy on top and moist on the inside. If I had not planned on ordering a muffin, I would have easily enjoyed more than a couple bites. For someone who enjoys the combination of chocolate and peanut butter, the Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip muffin was delicious. Most of the chocolate chips were placed on top, with a smaller amount mixed into the batter. If I wanted a less chocolatey experience, I could simply skip the muffin top. But why would I do that?

However, as time goes on service and customer care seems to be declining. I'm in my mid 60s and have white hair, but the cashiers never offered the senior citizen discount unless you ask for it. I had good Birria tacos one time. The next time I went, they dipped them in consume, but didn't sear them off on the flat top so they were crispy so I ended up eating mush. That was my last review and I still gave him three stars for that mediocre attempt at a taco. I've been going to 407 BBQ for many years and I'm well aware of his sign that says if you don't specify, you get what you get no returns lean or fatty. Well I did specify, but the hostess didn't write it down on my order. OK you know what I am disappointed as all hell but that's my mistake since I didn't look at the receipt. Fine, but if you look at the receipt where I ordered a pound of brisket to go that clearly says lean, and it's a hell of a lot closer to fatty than lean. Look at my pictures below. That will tell you everything you need. My wife ordered the burger, which is normally very good and one of the more difficult choices that I have to make in life barbecue or burger. But this time it seems as though they put garlic salt on the burger or some sort of garlic flavoring which overpowers their burger we've never had to specify no garlic before, but maybe something has changed that I'm not aware of. Maybe he felt they needed to be more mainstream? Who knows. With the proliferation of really stellar barbecue now available around DFW I can no longer recommend 407. Maybe he's got too many young kids maybe I'm not aware and he sold out. Maybe he's gone corporate. I'm not sure what's going on. Maybe there's something going on in his life I'm not aware of and he's preoccupied with that. But I think I'm done with 407. He could've easily responded to my yelp review on the mediocre taco disaster, but he didn't. He didn't attempt to make it right. I published my receipt and he can go back in his system and see who I am. He's got my full name and phone number, but I doubt he'll contact me. It's a shame when he was working out of a small wooden shack, there seemed to be a lot more care about Customer Service and Support. There's always my standby Angelo's downtown Fort Worth, North Texas smoke out near Decatur, which is actually closer to me than 407 but has limited hours. Hutchins in Trophy Club and Daynes's barbecue in Aledo. I wish Brian and the 407 crew all the best. Hopefully they get things back

I returned a couple of weeks later and ordered a half dozen bagels, unsliced. When the other came, the bagels were all sliced. It's painfully obvious that the people manning the register and taking the orders are either not paying attention to what their customers are saying, or they're oblivious and doing what they choose. I hope that the owner can get a handle on their employees, because at the rate they're going, they're costing this establishment money in more ways than one.

Love this place! Super friendly staff that actually remembers their customers. Coffee is really good here but the star off the show would have to be the food. My wife and I have tired some of the pastries and I'd have to say that they all were good. My personal favorite is the breakfast quesadillas!! (OMG) Best I've ever had hands down. Lastly, this awesome place serves dinner!! Only on Fridays and Saturdays but how many coffee shops you know that serves dinner? What to get? Glad you asked!! The shrimp scampi is a must try!! We stopped in for breakfast at Uncle Mike's Bistro this morning and it was absolutely amazing! The customer service was phenomenal--everyone was attentive and friendly, truly making us feel welcome. The bistro itself has a super cute aesthetic that adds to the overall dining experience. As for the food, it was to die for! Each dish was delicious and beautifully presented.
