Service was really slow. We were seated right away and then promptly forgotten. We were just about ready to leave when someone took our drink order. Thankfully we had drinks because we were once again forgotten about. My wife ordered a salad and I had the breakfast buffet. Server said they the salad would take awhile and she would give me a 5 min warning so I could get my breakfast. About two minutes later, the salad arrived. The food was fine. A little $$ for what we had. Would like to give dinner a try. Hopefully the experience is better. read more

Our server, Colin was great. My friend and I were debating what to order. He suggested the pecan crusted chicken salad. We both ordered it and thoroughly enjoyed our lunch. We were visiting the Denton area and we decided to check out this restaurant. located in the Robson Ranch community, it is a very nice restaurant which is open to the public. Not just residents of this retirement community. We ate there twice, once for lunch, once for dinner. Both meals were really nice and service was great. Some dishes deserve 2 stars. Convenience is their selling point. The view is breathtaking. Some staff try very hard to please the guests. The location is extremely convenient and very much appreciated. However, it is very disappointing that in such a beautiful community, where everything else is of such high quality, that the quality of the dishes served doesn't meet the same standards. A few of the items on the menu are fine, mainly several of the sandwiches. The steak dinner is hit or miss. Other items are average at best. The beef stroganoff tastes like beef stew made with canned mushrooms served over overcooked noodles. The baked potato is overcooked and bland. The coconut cream pie tastes sour. The salads taste as though the greens are not fresh. Fruit is not fresh. I know they can do better and would have more clientele if they did so, which would add to profits allowing them to raise the quality of items served. read more

I want to like this place. It's convenient, nice location, usually good service. But the food is just so mediocre. The menu has a good selection, and the specials are usually appealing. But the biggest issue is the preparation. Overcooked, undercooked, different preparation than the menu states. They also seem to pre-cook some of their apps and then re-heat when ordered. Deep fried jalapeños should not be soggy and clumped together. We live in Robson and would like to go here once a week....but once every 3-4 months is about all we can take. read more

It's got a great lunch offering. The chef/ kitchen does a lot - something for every taste. "The Turn"window kitchen has the most amazing short list menu items for breakfast and a golfers lunch. Try the scratch biscuit items, best $5 spend in the county. Waiting for them to offer fish/chips, but their flat bread, chips/queso, cup and a half are great and good value. Try the chicken quesadilla and load it up. Diner menu is extensive, but have yet to review. Caution, closes early on Sunday. Thursday is loose-their-minds local's happy hour with music, crowds and long wait times. Nice club-house architecture, course view/patio and attentive mostly young staff. read more

In the past it's been awesome. I particularly loved the wings, and several pasta dishes. However there's been a recent change to the menu according to my fellow neighbors and at the time (couple weeks ago) there were very limited gluten free options. This is an update after eating here a half dozen times. This is grill is inside of a 55 or older community with a 27 hole golf course outside the windows. This gives it an excellent view towards ft worth and Dallas The building interior is well designed although a bit dark. They have both a a dining area and a full bar that you eat as well. They seem to have live music often. The lunch menu consists of mainly sandwiches and salads. My favorite is the Reuben it's very good. The dinner menu has a special that's interesting dishes if you are a bit adventurous. The pasta dishes are quite good and they make excellent steaks and fish dishes. They do allow you to order from the lunch menu if your wanting a bit less. The service is good and prompt. The waitstaff is attentive to your needs which is nice. They have a good balance of what you need and leaving you alone to visit with others. The prices are moderate to high. But the view , food and environment make it worth it. read more

Usually good food. Usually ok Sunday buffets. But today, not so good and not worth the price. No biscuits at noon. Later cold ones showed up from a package. One other bread that was the color of pumpernickel but the chef said it was a dessert breakfast bread. Very limited fruit, out of coffee. Sonic look hash browns were cold and mushy.I should have looked first. So sad for Robson folks. read more

We live a mile from Robson Ranch Estates where Wild-horse Grill is at. Restaurant and golf course open to the public. We went for lunch today. Food is really good. Our server Jeff was really good and a great communicator. We will be back for dinner tomorrow. Prices are great. Dinner menu changes frequently so always new stuff. We have been coming to this restaurant for sometime now and usually enjoy sitting in the bar area. No complaints regarding the food or service. I have noticed that on Tuesday nights there is always a group of 8-10 people sitting at the round table in the corner. On one occasion they had a boom box playing extremely loud and singing at the top of their lungs. Apparently the management is ok with this behavior in their upscale dining establishment because it happens frequently. For the most part they are harmless and having fun, but should, at times, consider others when playing and singing loudly. Last night was the reason I finally decided to write a review. As a couple was entering the restaurant, the gentlemen apparently forgot to raise his face covering over his nose and mouth. The female at the bar asked him to put his mask on which he complied. The same group of people in the corner decided to start yelling at the man to get out of the restaurant. The couple turned and began leaving (with their masks in place). The female went over to the table perhaps to explain that he had just forgot. But the group continued to yell at them to get the F*** out of the restaurant and stop spreading his germs. No staff member even attempted to defuse the situation. I am sure that this group do not all live together in the same household. Aren't they spreading germs by sitting with people outside their household and not maintaining 6ft distance. A few minutes later I noticed another man who appeared to be a "regular" leaving without a face mask. Nothing was said to him. Perhaps these "regulars" feel entitled to treat people badly. Disappointed that the management has not taken any steps to correct this groups behavior in their restaurant. read more

During open dinning in 50% + we go to menus brunch. Very good but it takes time and you need to ask for water salt catsup sweeteners and little things. All are keep off tables. Many golfers eat outside and no mask while at tables. View is amazing. read more

My wife and I love dining here. Service is always friendly and welcoming. Food is spot on! Fig and arugula pizza is one of our favorites. The classic sandwiches are huge hit. Having recently moved to Robson Ranch, the Wildhorse Grille is certainly convenient. We've been going there since we started our build nearly two years ago. The bar is great. Ask any resident and they will tell you the same thing about the wait staff. Great service with a smile. Very attentive. A good bar (but they could definitely use some more beer taps). As far as the food, hit and miss. Mostly good but not great. We are not food snobs but we eat out a lot. It's a great place to grab a sandwich after a round of golf but not a place for fine dining. With not much development or restaurant options close by, it's nice to have it close by. The new chef is mixing things up and we see some moves in the right direction. read more

Had a great dinner here a few weeks ago. Beautiful atmosphere with nice seating, large rooms with fireplaces, and a small but well thought out and executed menu. This was a great place for an elegant and quite dinner. Not well known because it is at the clubhouse of a golf course in the middle of a gated retirement community. We went back for a buffet breakfast several weeks later while in the area and it was very nice. Not a brunch, but rather just an omelette bar and some other breakfast items. I have no idea if the food was any good. The service SUCKS!!!! We were seated and waited over 15 minutes. Numerous waitstaff passed our table. No one even acknowledged us!!
