To celebrate AAPI month, we decided to support an Asian-owned restaurant. I'm finally out of my "no raw fish" hiatus after 9 months. Oh, you bet I ordered everything maki. They have signature maki and fried maki. As always, let's talk food first. *BaoBao: This was a great appetizer. I love how the bao bun was so soft and fluffy. The pork belly was juicy, tender, and fatty. Adding the cucumber just gave it this refreshing texture - delicious! *Red dragon maki: If you love eel, this one is for you! The tobiko on top of the maki makes for a good presentation. I love the sauce - not too overpowering and makes it easy to eat more. *Yuzu hamachi: Think of yellowtail with a little heat from the jalapeño. A winner! *Spicy girl: You can't go wrong with mayo. This is the best of both worlds since you have both tuna AND salmon in one roll. *Fried scallop maki: I can probably eat fried maki all day. I love that all the seafood was fresh! Overall, the prices are a little bit higher since it's more of a sit down place that's perfect for date night. Great ambiance with a modern-looking interior. The restaurant is very spacious. Ambience: 4/5 The interior of the restaurant was really cool as the layout of the place is uniquely shaped like an L. I enjoyed the dark walls and gold fixtures that accented. Food: 3.5/5 -Miso soup was good but not amazing. -shrimp teriyaki plate was good but the vegetables were way over seasoned and almost inedible. The yum yum sauce was good and helped balance the dish out. -the poke bowl was unique. I've never had a poke bowl that had beets in it. It was good, but I wasn't blown away by it. -I forgot the name of the roll we got but it was good! My husband didn't love his roll as it was made with soy paper and he wasn't expecting that. It wasn't anything to write home about to be honest. Overall opinion: I loved the convenience of having a nice sushi restaurant in downtown Keller. Parking is a limited and a nightmare if you're going during prime time. I think Hush will do very well here. However, I do feel like the food is overpriced for what it is. Miso soup is $5! I've never been to a sushi restaurant that charged more than $3. The signature maki rolls were on par for comparable prices but not the hush teriyaki plates. $36 for a shrimp teriyaki plate? Come on. It felt like they were trying to go for the "fine dining" experience with the prices but fall short of that when it comes to the food. Had a great experience visiting Hush Sushi. From the moment we walked in we were welcomed by some highly trained hostesses and Haley showed us to our table. She asked if we had been there before and when we said no, she took the time to tell us more about the restaurant and what they had to offer and what made them special. We were quickly greeted by our server Cameron who was outstanding. It was so clear that they knew the menu well and were excited to share their favorite items. We threw them some curveball questions and they answered them very quickly and deliberately with a lot of thought into the answers. Hush has been at the top of our list of "have to try" From the get go, the waiter seemed super disappointed that we did not order any alcoholic drinks. It was so obvious lol I never drink any alcohol on wedding anniversaries. Every last one of our rolls came out all at once... if you are a true sushi snob you know this is not acceptable. All the rolls we got seemed like day old rice to be honest with you. quite firm for sushi rice. Most of the sushi rolls were just jammed pack with imitation crab and were pretty basic. Wow what a great sushi place for a date night or a fun night out with the ladies! Went to Hush Keller for sushi on Valentines day and had a lovely experience with my boyfriend. The service was so friendly and knowledgable as you would expect from a higher end restaurant. They initially tried to seat us outside on a very chilly night (low 50s and we declined). They then tried to seat us at a high top and we requested a booth or regular table as there were plenty open. We wish they had asked a preference prior to automatically trying to seat us outside though there were plenty of seats inside. Once we were seated we had a wonderful waiter who explained the special menu to us including drinks and the regular menu. We both ordered drinks and appetizers which came out quick. The sushi took quite a while though the restaurant looked to be about half capacity. That part was disappointing as we had to wait around 20 minutes for sushi. We very much enjoyed all our food (shishito peppers, obbasan soup, deviled eggs, spicy Atlantic salmon roll, jalapeño bomber roll, octopus and yellowtail sashimi). The yellowtail was so delicious and we even ordered another round. The jalapeño bomber roll was a fried roll and definitely our least favorite thing we ordered but the spicy Atlantic salmon roll was amazing! As far as drinks go, I wasn't super impressed but not disappointed either. I had one of their special valentines drink which was a little overly sweet even though the description didn't seem to indicate it would be sweet. I also ordered a vesper martini not on their menu which ended up being $25 so I highly recommend you stick with what's on their menu. They also had the biggest selection of whiskey/whisky/cognac I've ever seen and my boyfriend was like a kid in a candy shop! Any whiskey enthusiast will be happy. The meal was quite unexpectedly expensive as most sushi places aren't this expensive, but considering the quality of food it was definitely acceptable. I would consider this more of a special occasion restaurant but worth it if you have a higher food budget than most. Overall I am docking one star for the slowness of food service despite the restaurant being at about half capacity, the price of the martini and overly sweet drink, and price. I definitely recommend if you have some money to spend and would like a higher than average quality sushi experience! read more

We've been to this new Asian gem a couple of times now. We enjoy the upscale atmosphere and delightful sushi. The garlic Parmesan edamame is a great start. The shishito peppers were a hit too. Our favorite sushi's were the BFF, surfin turfin and sweet root. The miso soup is the best anywhere, full of flavor. The Hush teriyaki was extremely salty, but that could have just been a one time heavy handed line cook. They are new. :) The pineapple mojito is fun and so is their lemon vodka cocktail. My mom and I came here to celebrate my birthday early and it was amazing. We loved the ambiance, the food, and our amazing waiter, Tong. He made the meal one to remember, making small talk with us and ending it with a free dessert for my birthday. He made the experience personal, and I loved the conversations we had. Every single employee verbally welcomed us upon arrival, during our stay, all the way through our exit. The smiles and eye contact acknowledging us was so welcoming and fresh! Our waitress, Tara, was fabulous! She was so friendly, knowledgeable, and perfectly attentive! She has clearly studied and sampled the menu because every recommendation was on point! They have an extensive sake, wine, and Japanese and American whiskey menu. As well as everything else you want on a bar menu. Their craft cocktails have cute/funny names and all sound delicious. We noticed a lot of people around us ordered the teriyaki steak. I only saw it on the lunch menu, but apparently not and apparently it's very good as well. My husband had the sushi lunch special and got the California and Spicy Tuna rolls which were both very good. So we could also try the hibachi, I got the chicken teriyaki lunch special.
