Traveled from Parker to Fort Worth, an hour long trip, for our first visit to ShipWreck 7th. After passing the age verification (which was funny since Nixon was president when I was born), we passed through a door into a cool spot. They've got wall projectors showing off beach scenes, the bar is the prow of a ship, and a ring of booths with thatch roofs surround the bar. The suspended ceiling sort of broke the vibe, but they'd worked to make it translucent and backlit. Overall, a cool pirate vibe. The service was great. We were there on Saturday at 2pm, shortly after they opened, and it was a single bartender...so his service was great. Drinks were interesting. They do a number of riffs on tiki drinks: their Morse code is a take on the classic three dots and a dash, they have two zombie riffs, they have a riff on the Painkiller. If you're looking for slavish adherence to the old recipes, this ain't your place. But they're not reinventions, and that's a very tiki thing. Some are misses - the black walnut bitters in the Pain Kill ARR made no sense, but the light rum and lack of honey in the Morse Code were bright and refreshing. Over the span of 150 minutes the two of us had seven drinks and three mixed shots. All well made, all generally good, no absolute home runs. Totally worth a return trip. It'll be fun to visit during a busier time. read more

Atmosphere!!! This place has it in spades. From the bar shaped like a pirate ship, to the tiki hut booths, plus the ocean sunset projector on the wall; this bar feels like a real getaway from the ordinary. There's a lot of Hawaiiana for decor without feeling overly cluttered. I like the drink menu that had faded burnt edges just like a treasure map. Of course I tried the tiki torch! How could I not?? If you like Tiki bars or just unique experiences/spots thisi bar is worth the visit. They had a large menu of creative tiki cocktails, sharable snacks, and low music perfect for conversation. The staff was so friendly and gave us amazing service and made sure we enjoyed our experience. From the decor to the menus every aspect of the restaurant was on theme. We visited Shipwreck 7th Tiki Lounge today for the first time. From the time we walked through the doors we knew we had stumbled onto something truly special. The submissive atmosphere was something you would expect at Universal Studios. We sat down at the bar and our bartender surely secured our thoughts. Courtney was probably one of the best bartenders we have had in the DFW area. She was a wealth of knowledge and her recommendations were spot on. We have found our local happy place. I saw this place on social media and wanted to check it out. Due to the limited seating, it is highly encouraged to make a reservation, but their online website says that the bar top is first come, first serve. We made a reservation a few days in advance and didn't have any issues with finding a time slot that suited us. When you walk in, you are greeted by a hostess who will check you in and show you to your table. We went during the middle of the day on a Saturday and the place was pretty busy to our our surprise! The menus are leather bound booklets and all decor goes along with the "shipwreck" theme. Drinks are a little pricey due to most of them being specialty cocktails but it was still a fun experience. read more

What a surprising but super fun experience at ShipWreck! We walked in without any idea or expectation. Once inside we knew this would a bar experience like no other. The decor was full tiki; from statues to trees, you really feel like you step into a tropical paradise. The menu was especially interesting, it's written as a novel, with a different drink for each chapter. When you order the corresponding drink, the projector will play the chapter on the wall. I was so excited to come in here tonight and was severely disappointed at the all out rip off in the form of this Curse of the Seawitch drink. It was $35, barely tased like it had alcohol, was advertised as a drink for 3 or more people but basically had multiple straws to somewhere around 18-22 ounces of drink. It was a huge rip off and while this might work on the young crowd that comes through I'm old enough to spot a total scam when I see one. I will never go back here. We are 4 middle aged ladies that hold our liquor. As we left the door guy asked what happened? We told him the whole situation. The lighting is too bright and is straight out of the Michael Jackson Billie Jean video. Dear Ownership, please consider a revamp. This is a sad excuse for tiki. Too bright, your decor is great in some places and lackluster in others. YOU ARE ALMOST THERE...but unless significant changes are made, we won't be back. Very interesting interactive wall that changes from waves to dancers to rainstorms. I've never seen anything like it. The bar was in the shape of a ship. The menu has lots of great tiki drinks to choose from and a cool story that goes alongside. The tiki glasses have some cool themes and both cocktails I had were delicious.
