This spot honestly blew my expectations! Coming from california, I had low expectations, but the prices were affordable and everything ordered was a HIT! highly recommend their trompo tacos, trompo super fries, agua frescas, and their frozen margs. some of the best mexican food i've ever had and at such great prices. i can't wait to be back!

Hmmm... This place is a bit difficult to get into because of the bars and the spacing and the unleveled-ness about sigh but we pushed through. Once in it's just this big restaurant and the chairs are kind of all the way by themselves almost linear. You order at the window and then you walk a mile back to your seat. LOL I couldn't think of what to order so I just ordered some tacos and the guac and chips. The staff there were kind but they won't go out of their way to help you in any capacity. I did not like the chips at all. They were puffy but hard and super salty. And personally, I do not like a citrus eating the guac. I like my glock rich and spicy and full of all the goodies. So, I can't say that I really enjoyed it at all. The fish tacos were a miss for me. Many restaurants seem to get it wrong. I, like most, I hope, do not like a wet fish taco. It turned me off from the first bite and I didn't eat it again. I can't say that I'm too disappointed. We did not plan to go here. It was a pit stop on our way to another location to actually eat. So no I cannot confidently say that I would ever return.

Great local taco place we stumbled upon. Right around the corner from dickies arena and the rodeo grounds. Inside isn't too big but they have a good amount of seating outdoors. Tacos overall were so delicious! Good authentic taste. I wish the elote was more spicy, I used their hot sauce and made it taste even better. If I'm ever back in the area, I'll be back to grab some more tacos!

This place is a solid 3.5 stars and I cannot give it anymore. The reason it did not get at 3 is because the drinks are very very good. I got the strawberry and mango rocks margarita because the frozen was not working and it was very good. It was the perfect amount of strong. The food is just very bland, not much seasoning. My fiancé even said the same thing and he normally isn't very picky. I don't have a lot bad to say but don't really have anything good to say either. Nothing just really grabbed my attention about the meal. I will say we got all of this and 2 margs for $55. So the price point isn't bad. Just wish the food tasted better overall. I did love the atmosphere of it. Very modern, cute with lots of seating inside and outside and lights everywhere!

Stopped by for a quick bite on a Tuesday afternoon, which happened to be happy hour (M-F 3-6)! We were excited to take advantage of this deal and ordered barbacoa, fajita steak, and trompo tacos, rice, and a blended house margarita. Of these, our consensus was that we liked the fajita steak least because it was dry and in small cubes. Otherwise, the tacos were tasty but unremarkable and portion sizes were very fair especially given HH pricing. The margarita packed a punch but was sweet, which is my preference! Altogether, the 3 of us were full for a subtotal of $32 before tax and tip. Not bad! I'd say 2.5/5 stars for food but given the HH deals 3.5/5 stars overall.

This place has a very chill vibe. Service was nice and pleasant and quick. I had the Gorditas with fajita meat. Very tasty and the shell was great. Hubby had the asada fries. He enjoyed them and there was plenty of it. We also shared the Trio, which came with salsa, guacamole and queso blanco. Salsa tasted great! Guacamole was fresh. Not a big fan of queso blanco but very cheesy. The homemade chips were great! I also had the Paloma and a reg tequila drink. Both were great. Must go for a tacos and margaritas!

I had heard nothing but great things about Maestro Tacos, so I was excited to order lunch. What I did not realize was that I was signing up for a full customer service scavenger hunt. My coworker and I placed two separate orders through the website, which clearly offers delivery. I received a receipt, a promised delivery time of 12:50 PM, multiple confirmation texts, and a cheerful thank you for my purchase. Everything looked efficient and professional. By 1:00 PM, there were still no tacos. No updates either. I called the phone number listed on the website. Not in service. I found another number online. Also not working. I called the number the texts came from. It tells you to text your concerns and then disconnects. I texted anyway. Silence. Checked my bank account and yes, they charged my debit card right away. My coworker finally drove to the physical location to pick up our food. That is when we learned they do not offer delivery and it should not be listed on the website. When told the phone numbers were not working, the response was, "I thought it was working." That was the extent of the explanation. No apology. No effort to make it right . Except they did remake our food ( in my opinion that a non-negotiable ). If delivery is not available, it probably should not be advertised. If the phone numbers do not work, they probably should not be posted. And if something goes wrong, a simple apology would go a long way. I really wanted to love this place. Today was not that day. They lost two customers today-

This restaurant was a last minute pick unfortunately. The cashier was helpful however, alot of the employees were standing around on their phones. We preferred to dine outside, which was fine. The food lacked flavor and for that reason I considered it over priced. The condiments gave most of the flavor. We ordered 4 regular sized canned sprites that were $9 ALONE & two plates of tacos. Typically they double the corn tortillas for each taco, this restaurant didn't.

Will let you decide First time there. Had chips/queso. Added hot sauce for taste. Chips were good Had the birria tacos. Ok Not on my go back list. Will let you decide.

Pretty cool taco spot in the West 7th area. Nothing too fancy inside which I appreciate and very chill. Tried a few of their tacos and they were pretty good. The elote was solid as well. I didn't get to try any of the margaritas but need to go back to try them along with some of their other food options. Overall, had a good experience for my first time trying this spot.

Definitely a great late night spot to grab yummy birria tacos and tasty margs! The birria taco platter is stuffed with meat and cheese so be hungry! The meat was tender and flavorful and the juice was just as good! I think my favorite of the night was my strawberry mango margarita, it was everything I had hoped for!

The ambiance is very basic. Chairs are not the most comfortable, but I never eat inside. I do like it has a patio option. The food has never missed since I started coming. It is always good and fresh. I always get the nachos (half chicken, half steak). The portion is very generous. I have yet to finish a plate of nachos in one sitting. The price matches the food for sure. The service has been decent for the most part. This very last time we went, the girl working the register was having a hard time getting our order correct. It took for me to repeat the same thing multiple times in order for her to finally get it correct. Hopefully she was just having a rough day or many things on her mind. This has definitely been put into our rotation for regular places.

I always take one to go beef or barbocoa it makes as great lunch.

I have been to the coffee shop next door but I finally got to check out the taco shop. I got their veggie nachos and my husband got their burrito. Everything was decently priced and they make their food fresh. The portions are huge, I had to take some of my food to go. They have plenty of seating inside and out. When we were there it wasn't super busy but I bet it is packed on the weekend. The parking in the front is free after 6 during the week and they have free parking behind the restaurant. I will definitely be back to try more food. read more

Friendly service, birria tacos are super tiny. 3 tacos with consomé for 15 dls. O have had way better birria, this birria was very tangy almost sour. The taco plate with beans and rice was better same 15 dls but more filling. Horchata is almost 5 bucks a cup and not a big one but it is delicious! Taco bowl is also not generous portion. The floor was so extremely sticky. We won't be going back since it was not memorable experience. read more

Very expensive prices for average food. I wouldn't waste my time with this place if you want real tacos drive away somewhere else, like Salsa Limon which is close by, or the south or east or north side of Fort Worth. They used to give cups for water when it's 94° degrees out but they don't do that anymore. no cups for water. You have to pay for bottled water, I think it's $2 a bottle. Their special beef birria taco plate which is 3 tacos with consomé is $15 read more

We used to love this place but I now don't think we'll be back. We were excited to get margaritas but were told they weren't serving drinks because the kitchen was backed up. The restaurant was definitely not at capacity , but we would have understood if we were told "Hey, sorry we're backed up so it will take a little bit". As we were eating, 15 minutes after we ordered) we see two people picking up their drinks. I've never experienced this kind of thing anywhere. It also didn't help that the girl taking orders had the personality of a wet mop and seemed annoyed she had to be there at all. When someone asks for water, ice would be great since it's just a tap ok lukewarm water. Disappointed all around, but there are plenty of other places to eat. read more

My friend and I went to Maestro's for lunch. The young lady taking orders was not friendly whatsoever. I ordered (2) tacos and a skinny margarita. She told my friend and I they weren't serving alcohol because the kitchen was backed up. So, I said I'll have a water. She gave me a cup with NO ICE, and I filled up my water from their spout inside the restaurant, and sat outside. While waiting for our food, (2) girls sitting at the table next to us got their named called that their Margaritas were ready!!! I don't understand why my friend and I were told we couldn't order any, and they ordered some minutes after we tried! I won't be going back to Maestro's which makes me sad, their food is delicious. read more

Tuesday... 3:40.... Please ask employees....not to clean tables with strong spray cleaner while customers are eating!!!!!! Totally ruined taste of food... smell was sooo strong. We asked the female employee to please not spray tables near where we were eating with the strong yellow liquid spray & still continued cleaning tables.... We were unable to finish eating our order.... She could waited a few minutes for us to finish......before cleaning eating area with that over powered cleaning spray!!!!! read more

The food was the right temperature and seasoning Beef Gordita 's I love it with the sausage verde (green) it is delicious. The service was fast and the staff is friendly. The atmosphere is a hints of Latin and Spanish , you will have self seat. I ordered a barbocoa Gordita to go the make a great hand food. Also lovely Gordita comes with red and green sauce. read more

My first time at this place and it was great! There is a huge patio, but the inside has plenty of tables and cool AC for a hot day. I had the Quesadilla Birria and it was delicious! Very generous with the meat and the flavor was fantastic! Excellent crisp on the tortilla, too. Their Perfect Margarita really was perfect, too - properly strong, not too sweet, with Tajin on the rim. The staff was friendly & fast, keeping people moving through the line quickly. Pretty good. Got the quesa birria tacos, not the best I've had tbh but wasn't bad. Chicken burrito was super good, beans and rice are cooked perfectly. Had a bite of the nachos and wowww those are bomb. Love how they put grilled onions and a jalepeno on the side. read more

LOVED LOVED LOVED this place. It was pretty quiet on a Christmas week visit but that was perfect for us. Their vibe reminded me of a family backyard bbq or Cali taco place, so i felt right at home! The chips and queso were solid- delish! The tacos: Trompo and barbacoa were amazing, the fajita was less impressive. A plus is that it is dog friendly. My pup hung under the picnic table and loved the shade... and tortilla chips. We ordered 4 steak tacos and an order of salsa and chips. The steak tacos were great! They were flavorful and did not skimp on the ingredients. There was a nice amount of grilled onions and a pepper. My favorite part of the whole meal was the chips and salsa. Excellent tacos and great outside seating. We had steak tacos, a California burrito and a veggie taco. The tortillas taste fresh and the salsa is warmed which goes great with the queso. No wimpy thin tortilla chips at this place, either! These tortilla chips have some heft to them and scoop the salsa without breaking off in the salsa cup. Can't wait to come back! read more

We popped in for dinner before seeing a show at nearby Casa Manana. Parking is across the street unless you are lucky enough to find a spot on the street. The location has two patios. One directly in front and one to the right of the entrance. I swear I missed this one until we left and I saw people sitting in the area. The place is popular. They sell pictures of margaritas but we didn't buy alcohol on this trip knowing we were going to the show. We both ordered bowls. One with steak and one with chicken. I didn't see a description anywhere and we realized after we finished that there was rice and beans on the bottom. Food was good though. My biggest complaint is the amount of time you wait for food. We ordered guac and chips and we got a serving of chips for four people but a cup of guac that would serve one. Check it out for yourself. I bet the pictures of margaritas are awesome. I recommend this place to all my friends. They have great food, amazing salsa, very friendly service, and great prices. We come here at least a couple times a month. We have become friends with multiple staff members and tried basically everything on the menu. Wouldn't regret getting any of the items. We love this place read more

She made something that included raw egg whites (which I later learned is common in certain cocktails), but it wasn't mentioned or explained at the time. A few hours later, I became very sick...vomiting and dealing with what felt like severe food poisoning all night and through the next 24 hours. After looking into it, I suspect it may have been related to the raw egg used in the drink. Just something to be aware of if you're ordering drinks like a whiskey sour or anything that may include egg whites. After getting our receipt (which you need for the speakeasy entry code), we checked out the speakeasy portion, but the vibe there wasn't great either..pretty must the same as the other part of the bar. We ended up leaving within about five minutes. Overall, the experience didn't live up to the hype for us....between the noise, long wait times, and how we were treated, it just wasn't enjoyable. For comparison, the bar next door, Archibald, felt much more welcoming. Maybe regulars have a different experience, but as first-time guests, we were not impressed.

Some are misses - the black walnut bitters in the Pain Kill ARR made no sense, but the light rum and lack of honey in the Morse Code were bright and refreshing. Over the span of 150 minutes the two of us had seven drinks and three mixed shots. All well made, all generally good, no absolute home runs. Totally worth a return trip. It'll be fun to visit during a busier time.
