You guys need to be a little more honest about your reviews... The food was "meh", wasn't good but wasn't bad either. Had the Calle Siete, which seems good but turned out to be subpar. My mother had a fish taco and shrimp taco. She didn't really like it, didn't get the dressing and well when I asked for an opinion on the place she just gave me a stern look... lol But the service was great, girl at the counter was really nice and knew what she was doing(had colored hair). First time trying Los Guapos after the owner moved locations. I remember the old gas station spot fondly, and the quality of the food has unfortunately...taken a hit. Hence the 4*, which teetered on 3*. New location is in a more affluent area, pretty standard interior bright and tight but has some good seating on each side. Overall we ordered almost every taco available. Salsa bar was great. Good drink choices. Service was pretty quick. Tacos themselves left a lot to be desired. For a place that closes at 2am, us arriving at 930 shouldn't have been the reason the food was mediocre. Flavor seemed a bit muted and the meat was dry, OR in the case of the steak I was given a taco that was 90% gristle. The Barbacoa taco was 90% fat. When you're putting the meat on the taco any taqueria chef should know the quality of the meat and discard the super fatty pieces or make up for it. Two of the 10 sampler tacos were like this and inedible. Very disappointing from a quality control perspective, I expected more. Shame, as the previous location was stellar. read more

This is the real deal. We are from West Texas and we think North Texas tacos are for weenies . The tacos at Los Guapos are real Mexican street tacos. None of this feta cheese stuff. The meat was tender and flavorful. The salsas were spicy and authentic. The bread on the torta was fresh and soft. The service was impeccable. It's right next to another froo froo taco place and it gets a little buried in their traffic. The parking was weird, but it worked out. This was my first visit, it was recommended by a friend. I really liked it. I usually try birria at every Mexican food restaurant that offers it and theirs does not disappoint. The tacos were huge, stuffed with a lot of beef. The flavor was good and the shells were crispy. I love a crispy birria shell and more times than not, they are generally soggy. My husband had the taco plate. He liked it and it came with elote. The restaurant is a bit small but they have a patio as well. Service was excellent, everyone was very friendly. It was also clean. YUMMY! This place is so delicious and responsibly priced. It's open pretty late and has a nice patio for people to sit. You order your food, take a number, and they deliver it to you. I've been here twice and was only disappointed in the margarita. Probably not the place to get a drink, but the tacos and gorditas are good. I can't wait for it to get a little colder so that I can try the birria ramen. And of course, they have green and red salsa. Green is the spicier one and it was so delicious. Well I regret that I have zero pics to share but our entire experience was absolutely phenomenal - first of all, the staff is super sincere, friendly and personable -- comfortable and relaxed from the moment you walk in. They are located right beside velvet taco, a bold choice since velvet taco is always busy and offers consistently good food. I was interested in trying this new restaurant in town and decided to stop by. There was virtually no one dining inside, and it took a minute for someone to take our order. I decided on the Al paste quesadilla and added fries. My sister tried a few of their tacos. I really liked my meal, and the fries are definitely enough to share. There was so much hype with this restaurant but we were sorely disappointed. My Mexican boyfriend and I get tacos every Friday from Hemphill st despite living in the W7th area so we were excited an "authentic" place was opening nearby. Maybe they would solve the issue of us having to drive 20 minutes for good tacos. We were very very disappointed though and will never be returning. While the people inside were nice and it would give off the vibe of being authentic, the food was poorly prepared and seasoned. The rice was very bland and dry, the beans tasted like canned beans and all of our food was just lackluster. We got the ten taco sampler between the two of us cause we like to eat! The steak was super salty nothing like carne asada or anything resembling Mexican flavor just bland steak with lots and lots of salt. The barbacoa had a very mushy displeasing texture, but the tripa was okay. We got the shrimp cocktail and it was very warm which was concerning considering traditionally it should be cold. We were so sketched we didn't' eat it but no loss since they gave us no chips or anything to eat it with anyways. I never actually went to Guapo taco when it was in the gas station outside of downtown Fort Worth but Angel knocks it out of the park with Los Guapos! I love the tacos and this is one of my go-to spots That's very close and easy to get to, highly recommend the brisket taco, the Barbacoa and Pastor are my favorites. I get the Elote every time, even though I will say the thing I don't like about it is there's too much water in the bottom of the Elote. I have to indulge on their salsa bar and a Mexican Coke Every time I come in! very reasonably priced, very clean and tidy, and always a cool spot to go to! parking lot with about 10 spaces on side of building, be prepared to find other parking in the rear. I heard the patio is cool but never been out there to experience it! Friendly staff greet you under the menu to order your food and bring it out to your table.
