Authentic cuisine. The tacos were excellent and the Thursday Special (enchiladas) were extremely filling. Lastly, make sure to try the Horchata. It's perfect for these hot Texas days.

Special: Enchiladas estilo Guanajuato with carrots and potatoes.

When I'm craving authentic Mexican food this is one of my spots. They try to cater to tex mex fans a little but it's mostly authentic. The flautas are the best I've ever had at a restaurant. Not to mention their molé. I just wish their enchiladas had more flavor. They have really good homemade aguas frescas. Cash only but I don't mind cause the food is good here. I only order through drive thru but you can always order ahead. The family is super nice. I've never had a bad experience here.

These Tacos are AWESOME!! Had the Green, Red Chili, carne Asada tacos!! My fiancé had the Asada Torta and it was pretty big! These are tacos are cheap, filling, and the staff was super friendly! Only thing about this place is that they only take cash$$ but no worries there's an ATM next door! I work close by & plan on bringing my coworkers!!

Okay so let's start from the top and work our way down.... Welcome: When I entered the establishment, the one waitress that was available was friendly and happy to have us. The place is quaint with about 7 or 8 tables so I guess there wouldn't be a need for more than one server. The decor is modest and the menus are already on the table under a clear plastic covering. Starters aka chips y salsa: The salsa was delicious, I mean really good with a nice kick to it that I definitely would enjoy more of at any point in time. The chips I didn't enjoy as much because they were cold and weren't thin and crispy. I felt these chips were purchased at Sam's or Costco. I also ordered a side of Queso, which I pretty sure came out of a can so please feel free to skip that. Meals: My friend went for Pollo Enchiladas and also two tacos with Asada and Pollo. He really enjoyed the Enchilada plate with rice and beans. He stated that everything had a good flavor to it. I didn't steal any off his plate so I can only go by his recommendation to try it if we ever return. He wasn't too thrilled with the tacos though, particularly the Asada. I had four tacos: Buche (belly), Asada, Pollo, y Carnitas. I wasn't impressed with the tacos myself. I didn't like that my verde was put on the taco before they bought them out. I prefer to pour on my own sauce if I feel like my taco needs help so in this case I really make a good call on the actual meat flavor itself because it was drowned out by the sauce. Overall I would probably return and try the tacos and tell them to put he sauce on the side so I can make a sound decision on rather to keep this place in regular rotation.

I was in the area and had been reading the reviews for Tacos Ernesto and decided to stop in. I wasn't disappointed. Since it was Friday I ordered the special, a fish and shrimp Mexican stew. The bowl, when it was delivered to my table, was HUGE. I wasn't able to finish it. It was accompanied by tortillas and rice. The fish stew was very delicious and seasoned perfectly. You need to be careful since some of the chunks of fish had large bones in them. I can't wait to return and try some of the different taco fillings. One important thing to know is this is a CASH ONLY restaurant.

Love, love, love this place! Been here twice before COVID hit. As of today (5/26), they're doing drive-through only and cash-only (as always). Food is delicious and authentic, service is fast and furious! No complaints ever.

So I drove 10 minutes to come here and on Apple Maps it does say that they do except credit cards when I got to the door to my surprise I was shocked to see that they do not except credit cards and they have two big signs that they cash only I did not go inside to ask because the science are so bold that anyone should be able to read them so just to let you know they do not accept cash which is very very outdated in my opinion this is 2022 everywhere should except credit cards that is so stupid I think no one should come here because of that

Tacos con pollo en chili chipotle (verde). LOVE at first bite!

CASH ONLY RESTAURANT! First visit here and I loved it. The restaurant is tiny and clean. I'm a big fan of spicy food. Not food that's hot just for the sake of being hot. But food that has a sinister little kick, or does lingering smoky-hot dances on my tongue or brings a bright splash of heat followed by other flavors. The sauces I had here did that. The salsa is on point with cilantro and a tangy front followed by lingering heat. The chicken in chipotle chili and green sauce was wonderful and juicy with that smoky heat that didn't mask the sweet chicken, cilantro and onions. (Server said if I'd ordered red sauce it may have been too spicy to finish!) And the guac, though a bit small in portion, was delicious and chunky. Servers were great. Give this place a try.

Delicious barbacoa tacos. Has become a regular spot for me! The place has a drive thru that is open when the dining room is closed. The service is good and I haven't been disappointed!

We shared a bottle of California Sauvignon Blanc to accompany the Ceviche Tatemado followed by the Tacos de Barbacoa which is the Tuesday lunch special. Both the ceviche and barbacoa tacos were just so enjoyable. The striped bass and octopus ceviche here is a unique preparation that sings in the tangy lime and Serrano vinaigrette in which it is prepared. The barbacoa is so flavorful and tender; and the thin, house made flour tortilla is fried crispy on the flat top before being filled. So good.

The outdoor seating is so charming lush plants, colorful flowers, and a peaceful fountain that makes you want to stay awhile. I had the chicken fajita bowl, and it was fresh, flavorful, and hit the spot. The margaritas were definitely tempting but I behaved and stuck with water... next time for sure. But we always hear people talk about how great Joe T's is so we thought maybe we just an isolated bad experience 15 years ago. But this time, it was even worse. Maybe people don't speak unfavorably out of fear of being shamed for not praising this "institution"? We arrived on a Wednesday at 5:30 so fortunately our unpleasant experience was not further worsened with a wait. The patio is still very beautiful and umbrellas were positioned to provide ample shade. But the fly situation was very annoying and could probably be helped with the spinning devices on tables or fans spread throughout the patios. The beauty of the patio doesn't compensate enough to endure the flies. The service started out good with waters, chips/salsa brought instantly. But within 15 minutes the service rapidly declined as more customers were seated. It was very tedious to the point of annoying to get refills on our drinks. Literally within 2-3 minutes of ordering we asked our waitress to switch one of the fajita orders from chicken to beef. She initially said "oh I'm sorry but I JUST put the order in". We looked puzzled and said "ok then it shouldn't be a problem changing it?" She went on to explain that she would add the beef to our table and just switch the chicken order to another table next to us who ordered chicken that she had not put in yet. All of that sounded very bizarre but the food was correct when it was delivered our table. At the time the plates were brought we requested a side of sour cream but it didn't come. After 5-10 minutes we spotted our server and requested it from her. But we still never got the sour cream. As I was paying the tab my daughter noticed that we were charged for an extra chicken fajita. So even though the server got the beef fajita added right after we ordered, she didn't take the chicken off the bill. She adjusted it once we pointed out the error. The food was the biggest disappointment out of all of it. I will always give grace to sub par service or atmosphere if the food is great. I say this with the utmost sincerity, I've had more flavorful beef and chicken at Chipotle. The chicken was so dry and served in big chunks which made it even tougher to chew. I seriously could not detect a hint of any seasoning, not even salt. It was very hot but not like the traditional sizzling fajita hot, more like it had been sitting in a heating pan or under heat lamps. For way too long. The beef was a tad bit easier to chew than the chicken but just as bland. The queso that we ordered tasted like canned cheese sauce watered down with chicken or vegetable broth and a tablespoon of pico added. The portion sizes of the entrees, the tortillas, the pico, the guacamole were all very generous. It's just a shame that it doesn't taste good.

They're your typical trendy taco place, with their own selection of merchandise and crazy/cheesy jokes strewn about on t-shirts and signage. They have an ample bar space, but it looked like only one patron was interested in that; the rest of us were there to eat. You order your food at the counter and get a buzzer to come back and pick it up. The staff is friendly enough, but you don't really interact with them much since it's all pretty much self service after you go to the counter. The drink station has cane sugar based sodas; it's a bit heavy on the foam, but otherwise good. We opted for the birria pizza, a couple of cups of pozole, and a side of elote. Everything was solid. The elote was good, not great, but the pozole really hit the spot given how cold it was outside. The birria pizza is what blew me away, though. This was easily one of the most unique, but tasty, things I've ever had. It's not really a pizza, more like a topped quesadilla, but they did a great job of it. I'd not only come back here next time I'm in Fort Worth, I'd be interested in opening a location in Houston if I had the money to franchise it.
