Fresh, very fresh breakfast and bakery on site. Open early so get there early to avoid lines but still worth it to wait.. Great service and perfect portions to start your day.

Brought some coworkers here for lunch after a meeting. They all loved the food and we all walked away full. Waitstaff is friendly and service you with a smile, which is a big plus in my book. This restaurant offers a low lighting easy going vibe with outdoor eating options.

Outside covered patio w/ heaters

My family and I have been dining at Esparanza's for decades. Breakfast is our go to. Honestly just stepping foot in the restaurant brings back so many memories. The smell from the bakery to the delicious food. There is something being served that's going to leave you with a lasting memory. Recently I reserved tables on the covered patio for my daughter's 15th birthday breakfast. There were heaters on so it wasn't so chilly. But honestly after a few rounds of their delicious bloody Mary's you won't need the heaters! They graciously accommodated our large party and even had multiple other parties with us that morning. Our waitress was amazing, she handled us perfectly and always made sure all of our needs were met. Five star service for sure! My favorite breakfast dish is the migas half order. There is soooo much food I'm never able to finish it. Easily makes 3 meals. The corn tortillas are my favorite! Dipped in their yummy refried beans you can't go wrong. And don't forget an horchata! My daughter loves their horchata! She orders it every visit. Definitely a Fort Worth landmark that deserves recognition.

Came to eat here on Sunday before heading to the Stockyards. Very disappointing. This place has definitely changed how they cook their food. Joe T dinner was a joke. Anyone remember ElPaso frozen dinner, I think they popped it out and reheated it. The Gordita was decent but should be called a Gordita. The meat was good but it was just a corn shell stuffed with plain meat and quickly became fried. Definitely not a "Mexican" restaurant. More like Tex - kinda mex. Very disappointed.

We came here after watching the longhorn cattle drive at the Stockyards; with a fairly large group of 7, we were worried about being sat (indoors with the AC for sure lol). There wasn't any issue & they sat us immediately, which was a nice surprise. Our server was also excellent: attentive, funny, & just seemed like a really nice guy. We each ordered a drink, I got a piña colada. The cocktails mostly came in huge goblet glasses, which was awesome, especially for the price! They were really tasty & refreshing. Each of us also got a little dish of salsa & then baskets of chips for the table, which is how you can tell this was going to be a bomb meal. I got Huevos rancheros & this was seriously some of the best Mexican food I've ever had. The eggs were fresh, the refried beans were just incredible, & the potatoes were delicious. We all ate ourselves into a food coma because it was all so good that we couldn't help it lol. Toward the end of the meal, we also got 2 tortilla warmers full of fresh tortillas, which we ended up taking home because they were so so good. At one point there was also a mariachi band, so that was super fun! We were joking about moving into the restaurant & that feeling still stands! I'll 1000% be back to Fort Worth, if only for Esperanza's.

So here's the deal, we were have my a 4 star experience until the food came. Our service was great until the food came, then the server disappeared until it was time for the check. We had to flag someone down for a to go box after several minutes of searching for the server. The migas, which I have had before but it's been years was very disappointing. The flavors were good as far as seasoning but there was no egg, like literally no egg. It was a pile of tortilla chips with some shredded chicken and cheese melted on top. The potatoes were excellent and the refried beans were good. The salsa given with the chips at the beginning of the meal was fresh and flavorful. The tortillas served with lunch were fresh and homemade, both corn and flour. I felt bad that one of our guests ordered the migas based on our recommendation. I never would have thought it would have changed so much.

Sour Cream and Chicken Enchiladas

I ordered the sour cream and chicken enchiladas and a house margarita,I really enjoyed it. My partner ordered the Uno combination and a Tamal, his food was alright. We also ordered the queso con carne, I would probably skip it. Our waiter was nice and prompt with our order. The place needs a little love. We went on a Thursday evening and the place was dead, we were the only other table there. I would see this place as a nice spot to go and support the community but not as a go to place when in town. I failed to mention, the tortillas were really good and they have also have a bakery, their pan dulce looks good.

Takeout waiting area

Amazing local favorite spot, I got a breakfast order to go and it was quick and easy. Fantastic food, huge portion size though so I split it in two. They threw in a free bakery item as well, tortillas were wrapped on the side. I need to actually sit down in there sometime, I've only ever taken to go. Great vibes inside the restaurant area, amazing service as always.

Huevos Ranchero with Bacon

Breakfast review only. Solid choice for a good Mexican breakfast, the Huevos Rancheros, with a side of bacon was a great selection. Comes with beans and a ranchero sauce. Bacon was thick cut, cooked perfectly. Large and filling, I skipped lunch. Hot, and all you can drink coffee. Service was good, not particularly friendly -- too early I suppose. Dining Room is large. Lots of bakery items available.

They arrived on time, fully prepared, and their team was incredibly friendly and professional. From setup to service, everything was smooth and stress-free. We ordered Chicken Marsala and Sirloin Steak and both received high marks from our guests. Our apps were fruit skewers and the Gouda and Bacon Mac & Cheese bites - both were very good. Fruit was fresh! The mashed potatoes were a huge hit - creamy and delicious. (This review is making me hungry.) Our guests raved about the entire meal, and we couldn't be happier with the experience. I also found them to be much more reasonably priced than many quotes we received, although they were not the lowest price. Highly recommend them for any event--big or small!

Ready for a food adventure? Cause I've got one for you…read more So I've been hearing about this place from a fellow co-worker and it sounded so crazy I had to go check it out. Ok, before I go further with the review let me give you two facts you will need to make your decision about this place. First, this fine restaurant is located in a old business park off the beaten path (and I mean beaten). I thought I was on some wild goose chase (or looking for the elusive Snipe) when trying to find this place. I'll try to make it easier for you to find, when you enter the business park, it's the first building on the right (go all the way to the end). (P.S. look at the satellite mode on the map - I put the marker right on top of it) And, keep in mind that this is a caterer first and a cafe second. You are going to get plastic ware, and the server (though polite and helpful) is probably one of the staff stuck with doing that duty for the day. So you may have to get their attention from the kitchen, and you might not see your server for long periods of time - the server I had kept retreating to the back. Now that's out of the way, let me explain the food. Fantastic!! This was top-notch fine catered like food from a distinguished chef's menu (and apparently award winning considering all the trophies). No wonder so many cops and medical professionals stop in here. I had the Special which was the Pesto Chicken (see pic) with Orzo and Asparagus (which came with the choice of soup or salad - I chose the Caesar Salad). Everything was cooked perfectly and even though I hate sun-dried tomatoes -from past experiences- I really enjoyed eating theirs. And the cookie...... oh my... just look at the pic. Yes, it's as delicious as it looks (I need to see if I can order those by the dozen). But why 5 stars if I just got great food and ok service? The wall of thank you letters. Besides catering for local city functions and weddings, they also cater to a ton of non-profit organizations and local schools. And that's why they get 5 stars from me (I can deal with mediocre service). So if you are able to make the hours (they are only open Mon - Fri 11 AM to 2 PM) then I couldn't recommend this place enough and I will surely be back there for more myself.

Originally, we were hoping to have a wine cellar that could accommodate 50 people. There isn't one in Ft. Worth. Then we remembered a fantastic dinner we had at The Bastion not long before. So we called Chef Chandra and asked if she was available to host our party of 50 on a Saturday night. Luckily for us, she was available. We made an appointment to meet with her and discuss our celebration. Chef was very patient and understanding of our wants and desires for our big night. She offered tons of ideas and thoughts about food and all the options we had available to us. Since The Bastion does not have a LWB license, we supplied our own favorite wines which saved us a lot of our budget allowing us to go with a higher end hors d'oeuvre menu. She came up with a perfect menu of hors d'oeuvres that encompassed all our favorite foods. When our big night was upon us, we were beyond excited to celebrate. The waitstaff rotated around our party offering full tray service seamlessly. The night went on perfectly and we couldn't have enjoyed the special day as much anywhere else. From beginning to end, The Bastion delivered professionalism, integrity, and perfection. We now try very hard to attend as many regional tasting dinners The Bastion puts on regularly and there is always new and exciting flavors to enjoy! The Bastion is a Fort Worth gem!!
