I got to experience Wicked Butcher two completely different ways and both were excellent. First visit was a solo lunch. I sat on the couch with my laptop, had a light bite and drinks, and it felt easy and casual. Definitely seems like a great spot to pop into for happy hour or a relaxed lunch. They were really good about helping me find an outlet and place to set up. And they didn't rush me out. I sat there for quite a while snacking with an iced tea. Second visit was completely different. Our company rented a downstairs section for 40+ people with a simplified menu, and the space transformed into much more of a high-end, speakeasy-style steakhouse experience. The food was delicious both times and the service was fantastic. My steak at the corporate dinner initially came out overcooked, and I felt bad even mentioning it, but they handled it immediately and the replacement was absolutely perfect. I'd 100% recommend Wicked Butcher for a company dinner or private event. The table service downstairs was impeccable, and it felt special without feeling stuffy. read more

It was such a busy night in the area but luckily we were seated very quickly! It was also a really nice booth too, not just bar top. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. It was pretty slow but that's probably due to the volume of people. We were there for like two hours. The place itself is so classy, it was a perfect stop. We also got complimentary champagne for the wait so I can't really complain. White Truffle Caesar: It was soooo fresh, I always get hesitant with caesar's because places tend to drown it in dressing to hide the wilted lettuce, this wasn't the case. It was very fresh and had a light truffle taste which i prefer to heavily truffled. 9/10 filet: cooked absolutely perfect. they brought out the wrong steak at first but immediately got it before we even noticed. The herb butter you can get with it is a must!!! it's so amazing and complements the steak perfectly. 10/10 rigatoni bolognese: it was a little spicy and i honestly loved that! it was a great pasta dish with perfectly al dente noodles. 10/10 steak tartare: hear me out, it tastes and smells like in n out hahaha! it's the fried onions they put on it, i liked it though. 7/10 hamachi crudo: soooo fresh. pretty simple but well done. 8/10 creme brulee: i was so tired so wanted it to go, apparently they don't do to go which i understand. I wish they told me that thought before he spooned my creme brulee into a plastic container. it wasn't good at all. 2/10 I should've had it in house so I'm not letting that affect the review. Overall amazing restaurant that i'd gladly return to and highly recommend. Our bill came out to $191 not including tip. read more

Just enjoyed a wonderful experience here with my two brothers. We came for bro night and the time spent was awesome. The drinks, service, and overall vibe were ridiculous. Let me just give a special shoutout to the service in particular. I have not had such a good set of servers (from front of house to bartenders to waitresses) in a very long time. They were excellent. The food was also very good. However, to be honest, the steak was under-seasoned and a little on the tough side. I bought a 12-once ribeye and we split the 32-ounce tomahawk steak. Visually, stunning. But the ribeye was certainly on the tougher side and both steaks needed salt. Overall, really good experience - but I was expecting better flavor from the star dishes. Nonetheless, still would recommend. read more

Amazing experience! We snagged a table at 5:30 on a Saturday as a walk-in. This is the kind of meal you're happy to pay $300 for. We had the burrata, a steak, cauliflower, potatoes and bolognese. And of course the popovers - wow! First class service. I did not love the wines by the glass options, wish there were more and better options, my only complaint though! Our contrails were great and made up for it. Will absolutely be back next time we're in Fort Worth. read more

8/6/26. Came here again (4th year in a row) for DFW Restaurant Week dinner. The food, service, and ambiance is top notch. The little extras they provide are a welcome addition and are truly incredible in their own right, from the glass of champagne, to the little round crispy appetizer ball thingy (I'm not even sure what it is but it's wonderful) with the accompanying aioli, to the delicate and airy popovers; what a beginning to each meal! I started with the Caesar salad, which was fresh, crisp and the dressing was subtle but authentic. I then varied from tradition and ordered the sea bass for my entree. Oh my what a treat! Perfectly cooked and paired well with the basmati rice and curry sauce. Lastly, the chocolate tart was so rich and delicious; a perfect ending to a great meal. Our waitress was very attentive yet personable and two different gentlemen came by to ensure our meal and experience was perfect. We have always enjoyed our experience here and the food is delicious! read more

I essentially lived at Wicked Butcher this week while staying at the Sinclair Hotel, eating here twice, and it absolutely delivered on every level. The swank, Art Deco atmosphere matches the hotel perfectly, but the food is the real star. For lunch, the Wicked Burger was phenomenal. Built with cheddar, caramelized onions, mushrooms, and a rich sauce on a toasted sesame brioche bun, it hits every savory note perfectly. The rest of the table was equally thrilled with their choices, including the French Dip (loaded with caramelized onions, provolone, and horseradish-garlic aioli on a baguette with a stellar au jus) and the crisp Steak Cobb salad. The truffle fries were a massive hit and a frequent topic of conversation around the table, and even the fountain Diet Coke was perfectly calibrated. I'd be completely remiss if I didn't mention the monster rolls brought out for the table--they are giant, incredibly airy, golden popovers served with a spectacular rosemary honey butter that steals the show before the main course even arrives. For breakfast, I wanted to stay on the healthier side and ordered the Sinclair Breakfast with chicken sausage. The sausage delivered incredible flavor with a perfect, distinct peppery bite. The plate was beautifully balanced with delicate microgreens, and the breakfast potatoes were a total standout--perfectly executed with a great outer char and deep flavor. Paired with excellent, robust Lavazza drip coffee, it was a flawless start to the morning. Across both visits, the staff was incredibly friendly, helpful, and highly attentive with beverage refills. Top-tier service, great quality, and an absolute must-visit in Fort Worth. read more

Went here for a work dinner. I order a very expensive bourbon with 1 small ice cube. 20 minutes later they bring out the same bourbon full of ice. Said they messed up. You want it? Yes maam! Most of us ordered steaks. Kind of predictable. The waitstaff was so nice, fast, attentive, and just great all around. She made the experience fun but explaining the backgrounds of some plates. Just the right touch. There are so many steak places in downtown Fort Worth. Many are great. Being seated downstairs at the Wicked Butcher is a treat. Try it. It's not the dark dingy experience. It's better. read more

Our family meet here to celebrate my son's birthday and everything was great. We were seated immediately and our wait staff came right over to take our drink orders and bring over complimentary champagne and some very delicious and airy bread. Everyone enjoyed their meals. It was a great place to celebrate, a little expensive but a very good experience. read more

My meal was outstanding. Best I've had in awhile. I wanted to be salty bc service was chaotic to start. But the cuisine spoke over any shortcomings. The only thing that fell flat was the amuse bouche- it was tough, like it had been sitting for awhile. But that popover with the slightly sweet, slightly salty butter? Pbbbbbbh. Dumb good; I could not stop eating it. The bass in that curry was excellent. There may have been a temperature discrepancy between two or the three elements, but the mass was so hot (and perfectly crisped) the whole meal landed at the right spot. The brussels were ok; some parts were over-charred, but the sauce was nice. Again, overall, I couldn't take a star bc I sat at that bar shaking my head and eating more than I even needed to. Worth it. Two word review: hell yes. read more

We rented out the private room for a special birthday celebration and could not have had a better time. The food was excellent and very flavorful. I would definitely suggest the sea bass! I was lucky enough to visit Wicked Butcher Christmas Eve. We had an early dinner and there before the restaurant opened. We ended up waiting for our table at the bar, where we found out only the Dallas location has a happy hour. Hopefully one day soon this changes, because this is a great location downtown and they're missing out on more customers. Once our table was ready, we were led downstairs to their restaurant and to a nice table. The ambiance is beautiful, and would be a great date night spot. The free champagne, appetizer and popover bread was the perfect way to start our meal. The popover is to die for, and I'm still thinking about how delicious it they were. For the man course, I ordered the scallops. They were good, but I'd be open trying another dish on the menu next time. Wicked Butcher is definitely a classy establishment to visit when if you enjoy peaceful and beautiful ambiance in the downtown area. read more

We came here on 11/11/2025 to celebrate our anniversary and could not have had a better experience. We got here early and had a drink at the bar upstairs from the restaurant - the decor is super classy and is perfect for a special night out. The hostess took us downstairs to our table and we took in the atmosphere as best we could - lots of people there were really enjoying themselves. We saw groups as well as couples enjoying their experiences as we were. Corina took the best care of us. She was extremely knowledgeable about the menu, as well as focused on our level of enjoyment. She and the manager brought over a complimentary champagne toast and amuse bouche. We started with their popovers, which my woman explained (she is the baker in the house) can be hard to make. They looked hard and crunchy - which they sort of were on the outside but then were super soft and pillowy on the inside. They were also delicious! We followed up with the bone marrow, which was a little scarce on marrow and heavy on salt. Very heavy on salt. Our entrees were the Bone-in-Filet and Beef Wellington along with a side of the Mac and Cheese. All were delicious and plated perfectly. During every part of our meal, both Corina and the manager were on top of making sure we were satisfied with it all. Our finale was a complimentary chocolate tart to celebrate our special night. It was also a real treat. For all of this, the price was not as high as expected. The experience itself was priceless. Corina and the manager treated us like regulars even though it was our first time. They knew we were there for a unique experience and they delivered. We can't wait to have a reason to come back - maybe to celebrate a day ending in "y?" Why not? Thank you, Wicked Butcher! read more

Facilities are beautiful! Staff is wonderful! Food was good but a bit over the top. This is a serious steak place so the beef was great! I loved the free appetizer, 2oz of sparkling wine and pop-over. We went for restaurant week. For the $59 price the food was over the top. I had a tuna tartar, sea bass and chocolate torte. Enjoyed dinner for 4 of us at 5:45 pm before a show at Bass Hall. Hailey was a great friendly and knowledgeable server with helpful menu recommendations and very attentive to the arrival timing of our food so we could make our 7:30 pm show. She even suggested dessert options that were fast to prepare and the ice cream sundae was a perfect choice to end our meal. The complimentary wine, arancini and mini chocolate chip cookies were a nice touch. For those of us who cannot drink alcohol they might want to offer nonalcoholic options for beverages to avoid awkwardness. The pork chop was our favorite because it was seared and still juicy in the middle. Two of us ordered it. Everyone enjoyed the food and fresh hot popovers were delightfully yummy. We liked that they accepted reservations and sat us quickly. The restaurant was fairly full but spacious enough where every table was spread out so that it was not too noisy to talk. The cozy sofa booth table along the back wall downstairs was tucked away and a perfect place to catch up with friends. We would definitely go back again the next time we visit Fort Worth or see a show at Bass Hall because we could walk to the theatre from the restaurant which was super convenient. read more

Wicked Butcher....has been REDEEMED from my first visit. On a very rare, Mom & Dad date night....Wicked Butcher hit it out of the park. We went for restaurant week, and my wife agreed, every single course was well executed, flavorful, and Wicked Butcher outshines it's national chain peers in Fort Worth. Service was outstanding, waitress was friendly, talkative, and engaged well. We started with the Tartare. BEST I have had by far. My steak, an absolutely AMAZING Crust. I told her I wanted to have a hard sear crust, with rare/mid rare as the center and the chef was spot on. For such a quality piece of ribeye, the flavor was outstanding. And to finish, the Chocolate Tarte....is life changing. The depth of flavor, was on point. Highly recommend Wicked Butcher! read more

The food was good, I had a burger and fries and they hit the mark. The fries weren't quite matchstick but almost. The burger was a little on the greasy side, but the toppings were very good. The table bread threw me off and I know it has a particular name that I can't remember, but it wasn't my favorite. The eggy texture was too close to a soufflé. The service was good. The AC unit was leaking onto the table, and there was a ladder right in the doorway. The main door off the street was locked and you had to go in through the hotel which was confusing. The interior was nice but felt like a lot going on, but maybe the ladder threw it off for me? It's a 3.5 but not quite a 4. read more

Ok, so yes, this place is pricey. But so worth it! We went a long time ago and they had the usual AMAZING free bread they give before your meal. Back then they had a pairing of knock your socks off popcorn with the bread (free), this time it was some drool worthy arancini's with truffle. We also got their braised tenderloin hummus, Oh. My. Goodness. Gracious. perfection. I was full by the time our main dishes actually came out and we had to take them to go anyway cause we were late and it did take them a long time to bring out the mains. It was low lit, clean, and on the elegant side for a hotel restaurant, but also casual with the bar ambiance. read more

Wicked butcher is a fantastic place for a work dinner. The ambience was perfect. Service was impeccable ! They make you feel so special! The sides at this place are thought out and handled with care. The only miss this restaurant has is the cook on the meats. My steak (rare) was more of a medium. The ribeye ordered at the table came out two shades over as well. The service was very good from Hayley. The manager may have been new...? ( spilled item on the carpet had been ignored...) The food was great! Six of us had steaks offered during Restaurant Week. Two people had the Halibut dish which got rave reviews. Between 8 of us we sampled several appetizer options. The Cesare salad was big! People liked the Cauliflower soup & Calamari, also. The Banana Pudding Dessert was OVER THE TOP & VERY filling. The Chocolate dessert was a small portion, but very good, dark chocolate. Another popular choice was the Creme Brûlée with Mango. The red wine suggested to be like a Malbec was just OK, nothing special. Martini's come with GIANT Blue Cheese stuffed Spanish Olives. A lot to enjoy here. read more

Beef Wellington - steak was cooked perfectly and flavors were excellent. Pastry has a nice flaky crust but was a bit bland and the middle bit closest to the steak lost the nice texture for a more doughy bite. Overall 8.5/10 would absolutely get again. Salmon tartare - very fresh and nice texture w the crisp; could use a bit more of the roe or seasoning as the salmon and avocado dominated a bit too much. Overall 6.5/10 would try something else next time Not sure what the third thing was (truffle Parmesan something?) - good flavor especially with the truffle but the texture was a bit homogenous overall 6.5/10 Service was good and table was nice. Worth a second visit - will definitely try more of their steaks read more

Okay so I decided on Christmas to treat my family to a nice meal. We were able to walk in and get a table immediately which was amazing. Once sat I ordered an Arnold Palmer and water. We also ordered the waygu steak on polenta, creamed spinach , Mac and cheese, bread and the cowboy steak. Now to me the star of the show was the cowboy steak. It was seasoned and it was nice and juicy. The spinach and Mac were not really seasoned but with the steak it was a delicious combination. Overall the food was good. Wicked Butcher has quickly become our favorite restaurant in the DFW area. We recently went for my fiancé's birthday dinner, and once again, it did not disappoint. The ambiance and overall aesthetic are incredible, casual yet modern, with a classy upscale feel. From the moment you sit down, they set the tone by bringing out a complimentary glass of champagne, which is such a nice touch. They also bring fresh popovers (made fresh upon request), and they're always a great start to the meal. For appetizers, we ordered the hamachi crudo and oysters. The hamachi never disappoints, and the oysters were incredibly fresh and delicious. For our main course, we typically go with the dry-aged ribeye and a wedge salad. The ribeye is easily one of my favorite steaks in DFW, consistently cooked perfectly and packed with flavor. While the food is always excellent, the service is what truly sets Wicked Butcher apart. The staff is consistently attentive, warm, and genuinely invested in making the experience feel special. To top off the evening, they surprised us with a complimentary dessert for my fiancé's birthday, and it was fantastic. One of the most impressive things about Wicked Butcher is that the pricing feels very fair for the level of quality, service, and overall experience. It delivers a high-end steakhouse experience without feeling outrageously expensive. Highly recommend. read more

Limited breakfast menu, but good nonetheless. I ordered the breakfast sandwich with (heavily salted) breakfast potatoes AND the Nutella-stuffed French toast (hazelnuts, strawberry compote, maple honey syrup, chantilly cream) to share. The waiter did a classic Jordan Peele face but didn't say anything. Usually, skinny one-sided menus mean "quality over quantity," but all the dishes were hearty. The sesame bun was too bland and thick to waste calories on, so see if they'll put it on toast. (I thought of it four days too late!) As for my eggs, I asked for over-medium (even specifying I wanted my hands to get sticky from runny yolk) but didn't get that--so if that's important to you, please make a point or draw a picture. The French toast was messy; you better like Nutella because I think they used the whole jar. Weak and watery drip coffee, but the classy decor, cool atmosphere, and good service made up for it. read more

Arrived. Was told it's fine dining and the reviews online stated the same. The food was horrible... and smelled terrible. The cocktails were even worse (which I found absolutely unusual). The food was good! The service was exceptional! Very LOUD! Went during restaurant week!

Last week my company celebrated its 20th anniversary here and , wow what a night! It was an early dinner but before we could be seated, we had to wait at the bar for everyone to arrive before we could be seated. The poor bartender was slammed but he made sure to make every drink with care and precision. We were escorted downstairs to a private room, passing a glass case of dry aged beef Major tease but letting us know we were in for a special meal. Right away they brought out these massive popovers , light buttery and insanely good. We passed around appetizers, bit the shrimp cocktail was next level good. The tiger shrimp were big and sweet and easily the best I've ever had anywhere. For my main course I went with bone in filet topped with Worcestershire Vanilla Butter. Pretty fancy but ridiculously good. It was rich, buttery, a little sweet and I'll never forget it. I'm still dreaming about it. If I had to criticize one thing, my steak knife was rather dull, which is odd for a steakhouse. The meat was tender, but cutting near the bone was challenging. But besides that, everything was flawless. The service was excellent and I never had an empty wine glass or water, food came out together, courses were perfectly timed. It was a wonderful super indulgent celebratory meal. Great place for special celebrations or a romantic night out. Loved it ! read more

Ate a quick dinner at the bar. Not crowded on a Monday night. Nice environment, a little sterile,, bartenders not getting details quite right, like leaving puddles of water on the bar counter from the last customer. I had the Green Curry Salmon with bok choy. The green curry added a nice touch of heat. The salmon was cooked to the requested medium rare but the piece was a little small. You definitely need a start to go with this dish and I'm not a big eater. Was disappointed to see them charge $15 for a simple non-premium vodka and soda in a small glass. That's just taking advantage of the customer. read more

I was odd man out on loving this place. The rest of the group raved saying "best steak they've had". I personally disagree, but I'm also sensitive to salt, and thought the steak was salt heavy so I ate less than half. The appetizers were better in my opinion. The popover was a little soggy and undercooked though, unless that's how it's supposed to be, then spot on haha. The butter served with the popovers was amazing though. Calamari had fried lemon slices, interesting but good. Cauliflower soup was probably my favorite! Waitress was great, attentive and super sweet. Decided to sit at the bar - staff was friendly even at the early hours. I know from reviews it has another level, but I only saw the lobby level and it gave a cleana and relaxed vibe. I want to start off with I've been to Wicked Butcher in Fort Worth 6 or 7 times. I love this place. That being said, went here for my 13th wedding anniversary 2 nights ago and found some things that could be improved. Sat down at the table and noticed there was a layer of dust and fingerprints on the wine glasses. So I polished them with my napkin. To our server's credit he noticed it and immediately came over to do it. By the way our server was fantastic. Normally a table is greeted with a complimentary glass of champagne by the manager (lovely touch). However since we don't drink alcohol, I guess the manager felt that a nonalcoholic option wasn't necessary here. That was disappointing. Shortly after we were seated, a table of 8 or 9 businessmen who were drinking in the bar upstairs were seated next to us. They were unfortunately incredibly loud (not your fault, just killed the romantic evening). Food was good (spinach was slightly under seasoned but that's not a big deal). I did notice the steak had a spice rub that I've never noticed before. It seemed a little aggressive. The chocolate soufflé is fantastic and always the best part of the evening. Evening wasn't bad but there were some low spots and things you guys could improve on. read more

Finally tried this restaurant for the first time based on the great reviews. I was really looking forward to it. Unfortunately, we came for lunch, and while the service was great, the food didn't quite hit the mark. The staff was super friendly and attentive from the moment we walked in. Unfortunately, the food didn't live up to the vibe. I went with the GRILLED CHICKEN PAILLARD, which is noted in the menu as grilled chicken, roasted cauliflower, microgreens, and parmesan. See the picture I attached. It was literally cauliflower with chicken.. I went with the revision. It arrived lukewarm with a flavor profile that was pretty underwhelming, but the popovers compensated. They are delicious so I pretty much ate just those. My husband ordered the prime rib sandwich, which came with completely cold fries. The fries we did send back for at least warm ones. I can eat cold chicken but not fries. The prime rib sandwich was just okay. Would not recommend that. I did order the Sinclair, which is similar to an Aperol spritz, and that was great. Lastly. I didn't notice until we were leaving that they overcharged me for my meal by $10. It very well could have been a system error, so I had to get that corrected by the hostess after we already paid the bill. So make sure to check your bill with the menu listed prices. It was not the best experience, and I may one day check it out for dinner since the reviews are raving for that but won't be back for lunch. read more
