Wicked Butcher has quickly become our favorite restaurant in the DFW area. We recently went for my fiancé's birthday dinner, and once again, it did not disappoint. The ambiance and overall aesthetic are incredible, casual yet modern, with a classy upscale feel. From the moment you sit down, they set the tone by bringing out a complimentary glass of champagne, which is such a nice touch. They also bring fresh popovers (made fresh upon request), and they're always a great start to the meal. For appetizers, we ordered the hamachi crudo and oysters. The hamachi never disappoints, and the oysters were incredibly fresh and delicious. For our main course, we typically go with the dry-aged ribeye and a wedge salad. The ribeye is easily one of my favorite steaks in DFW, consistently cooked perfectly and packed with flavor. While the food is always excellent, the service is what truly sets Wicked Butcher apart. The staff is consistently attentive, warm, and genuinely invested in making the experience feel special. To top off the evening, they surprised us with a complimentary dessert for my fiancé's birthday, and it was fantastic. One of the most impressive things about Wicked Butcher is that the pricing feels very fair for the level of quality, service, and overall experience. I essentially lived at Wicked Butcher this week while staying at the Sinclair Hotel, eating here twice, and it absolutely delivered on every level. The swank, Art Deco atmosphere matches the hotel perfectly, but the food is the real star. For lunch, the Wicked Burger was phenomenal. Built with cheddar, caramelized onions, mushrooms, and a rich sauce on a toasted sesame brioche bun, it hits every savory note perfectly. The rest of the table was equally thrilled with their choices, including the French Dip (loaded with caramelized onions, provolone, and horseradish-garlic aioli on a baguette with a stellar au jus) and the crisp Steak Cobb salad. The truffle fries were a massive hit and a frequent topic of conversation around the table, and even the fountain Diet Coke was perfectly calibrated. I'd be completely remiss if I didn't mention the monster rolls brought out for the table--they are giant, incredibly airy, golden popovers served with a spectacular rosemary honey butter that steals the show before the main course even arrives. For breakfast, I wanted to stay on the healthier side and ordered the Sinclair Breakfast with chicken sausage. The sausage delivered incredible flavor with a perfect, distinct peppery bite. The plate was beautifully balanced with delicate microgreens, and the breakfast potatoes were a total standout--perfectly executed with a great outer char and deep flavor. Paired with excellent, robust Lavazza drip coffee, it was a flawless start to the morning. Across both visits, the staff was incredibly friendly, helpful, and highly attentive with beverage refills. Took my boyfriend here for his birthday to the Fort Worth location the other night and service and food were amazing! Staff were very on top of things and they make you feel so special. We ordered the bone-in ribeye with wicked sauce (their own made version sauce of steak sauce, amazing!), pasta bolognese, potatoes, and the cauliflower. We tried the banana pudding for dessert. Made just right, and wasn't overly sweet. For drinks, we did the espresso martini and their version of the aperol spritz. The vibe and the ambience were dim, but not dark. I was lucky enough to visit Wicked Butcher Christmas Eve. We had an early dinner and there before the restaurant opened. We ended up waiting for our table at the bar, where we found out only the Dallas location has a happy hour. Hopefully one day soon this changes, because this is a great location downtown and they're missing out on more customers. Once our table was ready, we were led downstairs to their restaurant and to a nice table. The ambiance is beautiful, and would be a great date night spot. The free champagne, appetizer and popover bread was the perfect way to start our meal. The popover is to die for, and I'm still thinking about how delicious it they were. For the man course, I ordered the scallops. They were good, but I'd be open trying another dish on the menu next time. We rented out the private room for a special birthday celebration and could not have had a better time. The food was excellent and very flavorful. I would definitely suggest the sea bass! The staff was wonderful and quick to bring all of our drinks despite us having a group of 14 people. The icing on the cake was really the candle/sparkler on top! The only thing that fell flat was the amuse bouche- it was tough, like it had been sitting for awhile. But that popover with the slightly sweet, slightly salty butter? Pbbbbbbh. Dumb good; I could not stop eating it. The bass in that curry was excellent. There may have been a temperature discrepancy between two or the three elements, but the mass was so hot (and perfectly crisped) the whole meal landed at the right spot. The brussels were ok; some parts were over-charred, but the sauce was nice. Again, overall, I couldn't take a star bc I sat at that bar shaking my head and eating more than I even needed to. Ok, so yes, this place is pricey. But so worth it! We went a long time ago and they had the usual AMAZING free bread they give before your meal. Back then they had a pairing of knock your socks off popcorn with the bread (free), this time it was some drool worthy arancini's with truffle. We also got their braised tenderloin hummus, Oh. My. Goodness. Gracious. perfection. I was full by the time our main dishes actually came out and we had to take them to go anyway cause we were late and it did take them a long time to bring out the mains. We came here on 11/11/2025 to celebrate our anniversary and could not have had a better experience. We got here early and had a drink at the bar upstairs from the restaurant - the decor is super classy and is perfect for a special night out. The hostess took us downstairs to our table and we took in the atmosphere as best we could - lots of people there were really enjoying themselves. We saw groups as well as couples enjoying their experiences as we were. Corina took the best care of us. She was extremely knowledgeable about the menu, as well as focused on our level of enjoyment. She and the manager brought over a complimentary champagne toast and amuse bouche. We started with their popovers, which my woman explained (she is the baker in the house) can be hard to make. They looked hard and crunchy - which they sort of were on the outside but then were super soft and pillowy on the inside. They were also delicious! We followed up with the bone marrow, which was a little scarce on marrow and heavy on salt. Very heavy on salt. Our entrees were the Bone-in-Filet and Beef Wellington along with a side of the Mac and Cheese. All were delicious and plated perfectly. During every part of our meal, both Corina and the manager were on top of making sure we were satisfied with it all. Our finale was a complimentary chocolate tart to celebrate our special night. It was also a real treat. For all of this, the price was not as high as expected. The experience itself was priceless. Corina and the manager treated us like regulars even though it was our first time. They knew we were there for a unique experience and they delivered. Enjoyed dinner for 4 of us at 5:45 pm before a show at Bass Hall. Hailey was a great friendly and knowledgeable server with helpful menu recommendations and very attentive to the arrival timing of our food so we could make our 7:30 pm show. She even suggested dessert options that were fast to prepare and the ice cream sundae was a perfect choice to end our meal. The complimentary wine, arancini and mini chocolate chip cookies were a nice touch. For those of us who cannot drink alcohol they might want to offer nonalcoholic options for beverages to avoid awkwardness. The pork chop was our favorite because it was seared and still juicy in the middle. Two of us ordered it. Everyone enjoyed the food and fresh hot popovers were delightfully yummy. We liked that they accepted reservations and sat us quickly. The restaurant was fairly full but spacious enough where every table was spread out so that it was not too noisy to talk. The cozy sofa booth table along the back wall downstairs was tucked away and a perfect place to catch up with friends. We would definitely go back again the next time we visit Fort Worth or see a show at Bass Hall because we could walk to the theatre from the restaurant which was super convenient. read more

We went for restaurant week, and my wife agreed, every single course was well executed, flavorful, and Wicked Butcher outshines it's national chain peers in Fort Worth. Service was outstanding, waitress was friendly, talkative, and engaged well. We started with the Tartare. BEST I have had by far. My steak, an absolutely AMAZING Crust. I told her I wanted to have a hard sear crust, with rare/mid rare as the center and the chef was spot on. For such a quality piece of ribeye, the flavor was outstanding. The only miss this restaurant has is the cook on the meats. My steak (rare) was more of a medium. The ribeye ordered at the table came out two shades over as well. I ordered the breakfast sandwich with (heavily salted) breakfast potatoes AND the Nutella-stuffed French toast (hazelnuts, strawberry compote, maple honey syrup, chantilly cream) to share. The waiter did a classic Jordan Peele face but didn't say anything. Usually, skinny one-sided menus mean "quality over quantity," but all the dishes were hearty. The sesame bun was too bland and thick to waste calories on, so see if they'll put it on toast. (I thought of it four days too late!) As for my eggs, I asked for over-medium (even specifying I wanted my hands to get sticky from runny yolk) but didn't get that--so if that's important to you, please make a point or draw a picture. The French toast was messy; you better like Nutella because I think they used the whole jar. The table bread threw me off and I know it has a particular name that I can't remember, but it wasn't my favorite. The eggy texture was too close to a soufflé. The service was good. The AC unit was leaking onto the table, and there was a ladder right in the doorway. The main door off the street was locked and you had to go in through the hotel which was confusing. Okay so I decided on Christmas to treat my family to a nice meal. We were able to walk in and get a table immediately which was amazing. Once sat I ordered an Arnold Palmer and water. We also ordered the waygu steak on polenta, creamed spinach , Mac and cheese, bread and the cowboy steak. Now to me the star of the show was the cowboy steak. It was seasoned and it was nice and juicy. The spinach and Mac were not really seasoned but with the steak it was a delicious combination. Overall the food was good. Last week my company celebrated its 20th anniversary here and , wow what a night! It was an early dinner but before we could be seated, we had to wait at the bar for everyone to arrive before we could be seated. The poor bartender was slammed but he made sure to make every drink with care and precision. We were escorted downstairs to a private room, passing a glass case of dry aged beef Major tease but letting us know we were in for a special meal. Right away they brought out these massive popovers , light buttery and insanely good. We passed around appetizers, bit the shrimp cocktail was next level good. The tiger shrimp were big and sweet and easily the best I've ever had anywhere. For my main course I went with bone in filet topped with Worcestershire Vanilla Butter. Pretty fancy but ridiculously good. It was rich, buttery, a little sweet and I'll never forget it. I'm still dreaming about it. If I had to criticize one thing, my steak knife was rather dull, which is odd for a steakhouse. The meat was tender, but cutting near the bone was challenging. But besides that, everything was flawless. The service was excellent and I never had an empty wine glass or water, food came out together, courses were perfectly timed. Nice environment, a little sterile,, bartenders not getting details quite right, like leaving puddles of water on the bar counter from the last customer. I had the Green Curry Salmon with bok choy. The green curry added a nice touch of heat. The salmon was cooked to the requested medium rare but the piece was a little small. You definitely need a start to go with this dish and I'm not a big eater. Was disappointed to see them charge $15 for a simple non-premium vodka and soda in a small glass. I was odd man out on loving this place. The rest of the group raved saying "best steak they've had". I personally disagree, but I'm also sensitive to salt, and thought the steak was salt heavy so I ate less than half. The appetizers were better in my opinion. The popover was a little soggy and undercooked though, unless that's how it's supposed to be, then spot on haha. The butter served with the popovers was amazing though. I was staying at the Sinclair and decided to try it out for an early, Saturday morning breakfast. The restaurant opened around 6:30am and I arrived around 6:45am - so it was only me and probably a one or two others who were staying at the hotel. Decided to sit at the bar - staff was friendly even at the early hours. I know from reviews it has another level, but I only saw the lobby level and it gave a cleana and relaxed vibe. It was recommended that I try the breakfast tacos - and the recommendation was right on! Three tacos with well seasoned, juicy meat and an added avocado was just right for me. Wasnt super pricey. I want to start off with I've been to Wicked Butcher in Fort Worth 6 or 7 times. I love this place. That being said, went here for my 13th wedding anniversary 2 nights ago and found some things that could be improved. Sat down at the table and noticed there was a layer of dust and fingerprints on the wine glasses. So I polished them with my napkin. To our server's credit he noticed it and immediately came over to do it. By the way our server was fantastic. Normally a table is greeted with a complimentary glass of champagne by the manager (lovely touch). However since we don't drink alcohol, I guess the manager felt that a nonalcoholic option wasn't necessary here. That was disappointing. Shortly after we were seated, a table of 8 or 9 businessmen who were drinking in the bar upstairs were seated next to us. They were unfortunately incredibly loud (not your fault, just killed the romantic evening). Food was good (spinach was slightly under seasoned but that's not a big deal). I did notice the steak had a spice rub that I've never noticed before. It seemed a little aggressive. The chocolate soufflé is fantastic and always the best part of the evening. Finally tried this restaurant for the first time based on the great reviews. I was really looking forward to it. Unfortunately, we came for lunch, and while the service was great, the food didn't quite hit the mark. The staff was super friendly and attentive from the moment we walked in. Unfortunately, the food didn't live up to the vibe. I went with the GRILLED CHICKEN PAILLARD, which is noted in the menu as grilled chicken, roasted cauliflower, microgreens, and parmesan. See the picture I attached. It was literally cauliflower with chicken.. I went with the revision. It arrived lukewarm with a flavor profile that was pretty underwhelming, but the popovers compensated. They are delicious so I pretty much ate just those. My husband ordered the prime rib sandwich, which came with completely cold fries. The fries we did send back for at least warm ones. I can eat cold chicken but not fries. The prime rib sandwich was just okay. Would not recommend that. I did order the Sinclair, which is similar to an Aperol spritz, and that was great. Lastly. I didn't notice until we were leaving that they overcharged me for my meal by $10. It very well could have been a system error, so I had to get that corrected by the hostess after we already paid the bill. So make sure to check your bill with the menu listed prices. It was not the best experience, and I may one day check it out for dinner since the reviews are raving for that but won't be back for lunch. read more

We did a triple date here. The dining room is dimly lit and its the perfect setting for a date night. We received complimentary champagne from the bar which was a wonderful touch. We sat upstairs and I loved it!! The whole building is a lovely art-deco bit of architecture, and the area by the bar is just lovely as well. Cocktails were lovely to look at and excellent to drink. Service was attentive and properly slow; in a country where we are always in a hurry to eat, it's nice to relax and enjoy the ambience, service, and even people you're having dinner with! ;-). The chef's Amuse Bouche was delightful. And our meals were wonderful as well. My family was steered here by the concierge from another Marriott property for a later dinner after the Thanksgiving Day Cowboys game we were sat promptly upon arrival and the service was a bit slow yet friendly. For food we jumped straight to mains. We had two steak orders, a surf & turf, and their Thanksgiving special turkey roulade. The food was good, but not spectacular. Unfortunately, several of the desserts the server pitched and we ordered were no longer available, as per the server the kitchen had "thrown them away" as they were going to close early. To be frank, quite disappointing at this price point. Don't take late reservations if you aren't willing to offer up the full meal experience. I'm not sure I'd come back unless there was some other factor at play. read more

We were treated to a glass of complimentary champagne and an amuse bouche when we were seated. We had a 5:00 reservation and were seated promptly. Everything we ordered was delicious. The complimentary bread service is something I will dream about. The rosemary honey butter was salty-sweet perfection. For me, the standouts were the super fresh oysters, mac and blue cheese, creme brulee corn, and white truffle caesar. We decided to pop into the hotel bar for a quick martini to kill time for our reservation. Not only did the bartender provide exceptional beverages and outstanding service, he insisted their steak would be better than any other restaurant in Sundance Square. We took him up on his challenge, and ordered the filet and sea bass. This place did not disappoint!! We've been back several times since, only to discover the AMAZING dining area in the basement! I didn't know what to expect but was pleasantly surprised by every little bit of what this restaurant had to offer. It's a very cool steakhouse without the stuffy ambiance. The decor is so inviting and chic, they greeted every guest with a complimentary glass of prosecco, and the service was timed perfectly. We tried the Tuscan kale salad (big enough to share!), the truffle fries, and Ginger Miso Chilean Sea Bass for our entree. This restaurant was my all time favorite new place to try this year. First the location is in downtown Fort Worth which I always enjoy going to. On a Saturday it was busy so we did valet parking. Once inside it was dark and really had a romantic vibe. We only had to wait a few minutes to be taken to our table which we went down some stairs to get to. Both me and my husband could not get over the decor so chic. Once seated we were greeted with complimentary champagne and some sort of cheese ball appetizer. I can't give enough praises to our waitress. I really wish I remembered her name. So sweet and gave us several menu options. Because it was restaurant week and a better bang for your buck we went with that. First let's talk about the butter that came out with the bread. I really need to get my hands on it for home because it's that good. My favorite part of my meal was the Chilean sea bass that was so flavorful.
