Absolute BEST Chicken Tortilla Soup Ever! The Carne Asada is another of their signature dishes and it was just OK. A little tough to chew. Great Service. There were two waiters tag teaming me to serve and clear. The interior is clean, eclectic and inviting. Parking is a challenge. I found it a little pricey for TexMex. I will go back though for that soup.

Had a great lunch at Reata this week. The staff were very attentive and efficient at helping our large group. I like the new location they're in. It's like a modern version of their old location- almost like a modern western theme. I had the saddleback combo which was the soup of the day and the club sandwich. The soup of the day was an ancho-mushroom soup. This soup needs to be added to the full menu, it was so good! I hope it's that soup again next time I go back!

Nice spot in downtown. Casual decor. The team onsite were attentive and nice. Food: I thought it was good yes, but not the best. My husband and I shared the blackened rib eye. Maybe he got the better half as my meat was a bit rough and chewy...and I didn't order medium well or well done. The mashed potatoes and vegetables were delicious. The complimentary bread/biscuits were good, but the herb butter was a bit too much paired with the savory biscuits...i would have opted for plain butter or a sweet one.

The ambiance and restaurant is nice, staff was very attentive. However, the food does not taste amazing, especially for the price. Tasted like cheap TexMex. The tamales were the best item I tasted. For me, eating out is about the food flavor, so I won't go back.

The movie Giant is one of my top 10 favorite films so Reata is a definite must go for any movie lover of the classics with Elizabeth Taylor, Rock Hudson, and James Dean. This is my second time at this location and the lunch prices are very reasonable. We ordered several dishes so we can try a little of everything. Make sure you save room for the desserts because their dessert selection is top notch here. I'll let the photos of the dessert speak for itself. Service is impeccable and Jeff checked on us frequently to ensure we had everything we needed and was extremely polite. Highly recommend if you're looking for some Texas cuisine with Texan ambiance and if you're a film lover like myself! Put this on your to visit list if you're visiting the area!

Charbroiled Ribeye mashed potatoes and veggies

Came with friends to celebrate an Anniversary. They all had the charbroiled ribeye . And all were very happy with their meals. The steaks were cooked perfectly and they raved about the mashed potatoes. I had the redfish, loved it. Super light and crispy, and the rice was super flavorful too. Desserts were so very good. The waiter, Christian, was very good. Knew his menu that's for sure! Service was quick and friendly, couldn't have asked for anything more. The only thing I wasn't a fan of was how very loud it is . Hard to even hear the people at our table

We were walking around downtown Fort Worth and found Reata for lunch -- what a great find! The restaurant is beautifully decorated, like a cozy western-style library with a classy Texas vibe. My daughter and I both had the Avocado Caesar Salad with Grilled Tenderloin and Cayenne Croutons, and it was excellent. The steak was perfectly tender and flavorful. Great atmosphere, great food -- if we happen to be in the area again we would definitely return.

First time visiting the new location . Was too busy enjoying my dinner companions and delicious salad, appetizers, steak, & dessert to take more pictures. Loved the apple green salad (generous portion) with crisp and fresh flavors. Bacon wrapped shrimp was ok, but the legendary Reata tamales was just what I was hoping for! My New York strip with mashed potatoes and seasonal vegetables was full of flavor and not too marbley as can occur with this cut of steak. We topped it off the the wonderful apple crisp with caramel am spice cream; rich and shareable. The flourless cake with berries was also a hit. Definitely an upgrade with the new building, ambience, and menu! Excited to return.

We came here to visit friends and family and were looking for something unique. This restaurant came highly recommended and it didn't disappoint. Kayeleigh, our server, was amazingly attentive even though the place was packed. The food was amazing! We tried the tenderloin tamales that were hands down the best tamales I've ever had and the desert tacos were magnificent even though we were already quite full from our meal. The restaurant had a lively vibe although it was a little noisy for a quiet romantic dinner. If we lived here, this would definitely be a regular place for us - fantastic.

    Ribeye and Manhattan

Some highlights from this restaurant include the ribeye with an herby chef's butter. The bar makes an excellent Manhattan. I also enjoyed their pecan buttermilk biscuits. The steak came with particularly tasty and creamy mashed potatoes and some nice sautéed veg on the side. Service was quite good and the ambience was lovely. Their dessert selection was unfortunately tempting and so I found myself enjoying their pecan pie/tart. Although the nut to custard ratio was heavy toward the pecans, in case that's important to those ordering - for me, it was a plus. At another visit I had the chicken chile relleno. This wasn't my favorite, although it may have just been in comparison to the previous meal - I found the cheese to be a little too funky for the other flavors of the dish. It did come with a nice corn chowder side, though. I'd absolutely go back for the steak.

Let's start with this, a 4.0 star rating is absurd. If I could give 10 stars I would. They check every box. The worst thing about Reata is having to pay for parking downtown but besides that I can't wait to return. Met up white some friends for dinner and it was my first time going so I was excited. Our server Nick was A1 he was on top of things from drinks to recommendations for dinner and dessert. He was funny and enjoyable I mean superb customer service. We ordered 2 tomahawk steaks that came with some cheesy potatoes and we got a shareable salad. The tomahawks we had were seasoned perfectly and cooked at a perfect medium. So flavorful and a good bite especially paired with those cheesy potatoes. The salad was great as well due to the goat cheese and the roasted pecans that set it all off. Then we each had a different dessert. I had the crème brûlée and other guys had the pecan pie and apple crisp. Honestly I tried all 3 you can't go wrong with any of them, just depends on what you are in the mood for. I think things are fairly price for the food and service you get, some would disagree but to those folks I say you get what you pay for. The ambiance could be intimate for a date night or it could be more like a family gathering, I say it could be intimate due to them having candles at each table. I can't wait to go back for more delicious food and phenomenal service. Nick deserves a raise or bonus. I can't understate his service.

Dinner Carne Asada with Reata Cheese Enchiladas
    Supardi D.

A nice fine dining restaurant in downtown Fort Worth. Tex Mex style with lots of history. They do have the patio terrace on second floor. Opt for inside, AC dining. Service was excellent. From the door to the table. The manager and server kept checking on you. As many of the down town establishments, the menu is on the expensive side. Ordered the favorite, Carne Asada with enchilada. Giant portion, Texas style. The whole meat under the cheese almost covered the whole plate. The gave you two giant cheese enchiladas on the top. The bread is very good. The tortilla soup is okay. Overall, very good dining experience.

Came here for dinner. Very nice restaurant and good service. Prices were on the higher side but still not bad. I got the tamales for appetizers and the fish special for dinner. The red fish was tasty but kinda salty. The tenderloin tamales were delicious. Very good meal!

    Does Reata allow BYOB?

No they do not but they have a nice weekly health hour

Do you need to make a reservation?

You do not have to, we've come without reservations. But, when we have a large party, we do. The reservations are easily made on their website which uses Opentable.

Do they offer a happy hour ? What are the details

Do they have any plain jane sides like a baked potato or fries? Asking for a picky hubby lol

Yes they do. He will definitely find something that suits his fancy. Enjoy!

Is there valet parking on Sat for brunch? Thanks

Yes, Sundance Square valet is right outside :)

Do you have to make reservations for the rooftop seating?

I suggest calling to know for sure. When we went in middle of the week daytime they said the rooftop wasn't open. It has certain hours when it's allowed. But I don't know if reservations are required for rooftop, they are not required for dining.

    Can you make to-go orders?

Yes you can make Togo orders. There isn't no Togo menus to take home.

What are the hours for brunch menu?

Maybe 11:00 to 2:30? Would call for sure… Read more

The noise level was extremely high...we literally had to yell just to have a conversation with each other. Service was also very slow. It took about 15 minutes just to be acknowledged at the bar, and close to 30 minutes to actually receive a drink. When I finally ordered, I told the bartender to make her favorite drink. She made something that included raw egg whites (which I later learned is common in certain cocktails), but it wasn't mentioned or explained at the time. A few hours later, I became very sick...vomiting and dealing with what felt like severe food poisoning all night and through the next 24 hours. After looking into it, I suspect it may have been related to the raw egg used in the drink. Just something to be aware of if you're ordering drinks like a whiskey sour or anything that may include egg whites. After getting our receipt (which you need for the speakeasy entry code), we checked out the speakeasy portion, but the vibe there wasn't great either..pretty must the same as the other part of the bar. We ended up leaving within about five minutes. Overall, the experience didn't live up to the hype for us....between the noise, long wait times, and how we were treated, it just wasn't enjoyable. For comparison, the bar next door, Archibald, felt much more welcoming. Maybe regulars have a different experience, but as first-time guests, we were not impressed.

As the name might suggest, this places focuses on cocktails throughout the world. Nonetheless, as the opportunity presented itself, we have usually opted happy hour. The first time I came here, I asked for a drink that was recommended. The bartender made a wonderful espresso martini. Despite what I mentioned, this was not on the happy hour menu. It was still a great drink nonetheless. I should have clarified from my end that I was looking for a happy hour drink. Good level of espresso liqueur with smooth vodka. Also, simple presentation with the coffee beans on top. The second time I came here it was also for happy hour. This time, I got the Bee's Knees. This was refreshing and sweet. The harshness of the gin did come through at times but at a tolerable amount that wasn't overwhelming. I liked the visuals of the dehydrated lemon slice. In both visits, we were regularly checked on by staff seeing if we had anything else to order, to gets dishes/glasses out of the way, refill water, etc. Always so kind! I will also note that the restrooms are incredibly clean and well-stocked. Although I've only come to Atlas for happy hour, I would certainly love to come back some day later in the evening because I've heard the vibe and atmosphere is especially more lively during that time.
