I was looking for a traditional cup of cafe de olla and I found the spot! Casa Azul is an adorable coffee shop with so much character as soon as you pull in. The outdoor patio is shaded and spacious. They had little toys out for young kids to play. I was looking forward to the conchas but they were sold out by the time I arrived (11:15am ish). If you're looking for coffee on the go, I'd recommend calling ahead. Though, they do have a drive- thru, maybe service would be quicker. Otherwise, go inside and enjoy the ambiance and one another. The interior and exterior are very spacious and lively with their decorations. It's a great spot to work, read, study, meetings, gatherings etc. The times I've had their drinks they have been a hit. I went with my friends and our kiddos a few months ago, and I had their Coquito, and it was so good, that I had to get two. It was the perfect combination of espresso and all their spices. My friends also enjoyed their drinks. 5/5 all around. I also ordered a concha, and it was good and fluffy. It didn't taste stale, it was soft and delicious. My little one enjoyed their concha too. Our little ones played outside, and the owner closed the door that connects to another door that leads to the street. I didn't know we were allowed to close it, but I'm thankful he closed it. He was also welcoming and kind. They have some toy cars outside for the little ones to use as well as some toys and books inside. This is definitely a kid-friendly coffee shop with a changing table and toys for your little ones. May 8,2026, was the most recent time we've stopped by. I had a Matcha-Colada and their Mazapán latte. Their matcha-colada was refreshing and good. Their Mazapán latte was so delicious, creamy, and I was able to taste the nuttiness and the bits of Mazapán. I'm definitely a fan, yummy. 5/5. I also ordered their breakfast torta, which was half a torta, not the entire torta. It was decent, the bread was kind of hard. This is a really memorable space -- an old house turned cafe with fantastic coffee, plenty of tables and seating, a cute little play area for kiddos, and a huge covered patio. It's really spacious inside but fills up fast, they're deservedly popular. Casa Azul is Latino-owned, which is beautifully showcased in their menu, decor, and vibes. I recently had their famous churro latte which is espresso with vanilla, cinnamon, cajeta (Mexican caramel), and your choice of milk. I got mine iced and loved every sip. This place sort of reminded me of a senaduría you'd see in Mexico, which was the cool part, but other than that wasn't a fan of my drink. I ordered the maza pan latte. I've ordered Mazapan lattes in multiple places and I usually know what to expect but this one was a real letdown. There was no mazapan in there and didn't taste like it at all. This is my first time checking out cute cafe, and they were very patient to explain the menu. I liked my drink (Mexican mocha), there was a chocolaty flavor without it being too sweet! My sister go the sweet potato drink (special) -- the sweet potato mash/syrup wasn't strong and she realized it had all settled to the bottom, so mix your drink! Parking there is a small lot, but also street parking. Be aware that they do lock the gates to the parking lot at closing time! I'll rate it a 3 because the drink I got as well as my sisters are pretty good. The coffee shop is busy but large place so doesn't feel crowded when you walk in. The baristas', majority of them are somewhat welcoming. The lady that helped us with our orders....not so much. As a first time customer I was not really welcomed with good energy and that's one thing that a barista should have with customers wanting coffee..when I asked what coffee was good all I got was "all of them are good" in a monotone annoyed voice. When I asked for her favorite she gave me a bland answer that didn't sound convincing so I chose one that peaked my interest and also way too sweet the coffee flavor was still there. Went to Casa Azul 4 separate times to try and give it a chance but each time the drinks were disappointingly bland or constructed poorly. And upon the last visit I tried to order simple drinks and was met with confusion from the barista. It was difficult trying to order a simple drip coffee with syrup, and an Americano. The Americano was even made as a latte (at least the build of the drink was made with so much creamer/milk that it tasted like one). A watery unflavored latte at that. This place definitely has its priorities set on aesthetics rather than making good coffee. Disappointing, but I don't think I'll be giving casa azul a 5th try. read more

I had never been to this café before, even though I literally live just a minute or two away. I was a little iffy about trying it since coffee spots can be either a hit or miss, but my mom and sister went and sent me a photo, telling me how delicious everything was. They had one of the coffees and some Mexican bread, so I decided to check it out the next day. The pastry was wonderful heated with a soft Fluffy texture and just the perfect amount of sweetness. The prices are much more affordable here, so try a few items! Our parents are from Guanajuato ( world renowned state in Mexico due to their cajeta amongst other things). The churro latte had cajeta which is different than dulce de leche as it is made with goat's milk. If you have not had it, you're missing out. It's like 10 times better than dulce de leche. It feels like a family home you're stepping into and the inside feels comfortable, with plenty of seating and great Hispanic and Mexican art around the space. The coffee was phenomenal!
