First and foremost, I want to thank Noble, the owner, for being so welcoming, kind, attentive and caring the times I've stopped by. May 19,2026 The interior is so inviting with the beautiful art all over the coffee shop and the plants as well. It's also very spacious as well as their outdoor seating which is way more spacious and so pretty. I ordered the Peach brown sugar matcha and Dande-Lemon matcha. They were both 5/5 so good and refreshing. The Peach brown sugar matcha had a subtle sweet taste and the Dande-Lemon matcha was very refreshing that I could taste some of the dandelion and hint of lemon. Noble makes the syrups which is amazing since a lot of coffee shops use generic popular syrups and sauces. The last time I stopped by I had a lavender latte which was good and not overwhelmingly strong or soapy tasting like other places. If you haven't stopped, I highly recommend you do. They have above and beyond customer service, great drinks, ample space to drink, read, eat, meet-up, meetings and or just grab a drink to go. read more

Such a cozy, welcoming, positive energy vibe at this place. Upon arriving, I was delighted to see that they have a small parking lot. There is also ample nearby street parking. The house (coffee shop) is lovely outside and inside. If these walls could talk, this old space would tell some very interesting stories as it' s a renovated old home. I was warmly greeted by the owner. He let me know that they were closing a little early for an event today, but I wanted my order to go, so no worries. I got the dande-lemon matcha latte with oat milk, an almond marzipan cookie and a margarita cookie. OMGoodness, my latte and cookies were some of the BEST I have ever had. The latte had light floral flavors -- I could tell the syrup flavor was house made. The owner also made the cookies. It's a darn good thing I only bought 2 cookies. If I had bought a dozen, I would have eaten them all. LOL! The cookies were delicate, packed with flavor, and the perfect texture and sweetness. My first time at Portico was a delight! What a cool way to utilize a historic landmark into this beautiful coffee. It was like visiting a museum, as I discovered all the vintage decor and uniquely refurbished furniture. The outdoor space is also impressive- it's huge, lots of seating, a few pergolas and a garden of herbs that give off the best aroma. Noble is a kind soul, also he's the owner and barista. He told us how he makes all his own syrups and it instantly made me want to try them all. I enjoyed a cappuccino with the Gochugaru caramel- yummy! There's a reason why this place has such great ratings. The coffee, the customer service and the ambience is absolutely fantastic. Portico Coffee is such a hidden gem! It's a home-y, warm, cozy, and relaxing coffee shop. There is lots of decor that gives this place a rustic charm. And there's a large outdoor area with a canopy that would be perfect to sit at when there's nice weather. I got an iced chai, which was decently good. The barista brought my drink to me at my table, which was a nice touch. There is a very small parking lot with what I think was covered with gravel, so beware if your car is sensitive. Coffee culture is different everywhere you go, but I fell in love with it due to the cozy, community-oriented, warm drink wielding environment it brings. So many coffee shops have lost the personal and welcoming environment that makes this culture so great. However, Portico has the original coffee mindset that I love--it's personal, it's a cozy and homey environment, and the coffee is made with care (ie. homemade yummy syrups). Noble, the owner, was great in taking care of me while I was visiting and my basil citrus latte was on point. There's a garden patio area in the back that seems great for good weather. Stopped by Portico after a friend recommended it and it does not disappoint. I got the fig brown sugar latte and it was a perfect blend of flavors not being too sweet at all. It has a lot of character and there is art from local artists inside. There is also a great outdoor area with a porch and lots of shade. This place just opened October of 2023 and it is the absolute cutest! It is set in a historic home and the vibes were comfy, cozy, and full of character. I had a cortado, the Chocolate Chiltepin Cold Brew (limited time only), and a latte with fig brown sugar. The syrups were inventive, the coffee was some of the best in the city, and the barista was very kind with such a pleasant demeanor.
