This café has definitely become one of my favorites. I just went with my wife and it's incredible -- the location is great, it has accessible parking, and the interior is beautiful with a vintage touch. Now, let's talk about the coffee -- ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS. I highly recommend coming here and enjoying a great cup of coffee with your eyes closed.

There's a reason why this place has such great ratings. The coffee, the customer service and the ambience is absolutely fantastic. My husband and I drove half an hour just to come check this place out and it did not disappoint. He had the banana bread latte and I had a lavender latte. So so good! Can't wait to come back and try out their Fall menu.

Portico Coffee is such a hidden gem! It's a home-y, warm, cozy, and relaxing coffee shop. There is lots of decor that gives this place a rustic charm. And there's a large outdoor area with a canopy that would be perfect to sit at when there's nice weather. I got an iced chai, which was decently good. The barista brought my drink to me at my table, which was a nice touch. There is a very small parking lot with what I think was covered with gravel, so beware if your car is sensitive. Overall, I greatly enjoyed my experience at Portico Coffee, and I'd love to go another time!

What a GEM of a coffee shop in the north side of FW. This century old house has several rooms to work, study, or sip coffee. It is carefully designed and decorated with such an artistic eye. I love the location as it is both hidden yet situated in the heart of the vast growing community. The coffee was delicious and honestly priced, and the music was perfect for the space.

Awesome coffee shop, love the vibes. Can't wait to come back! Barista was so kind and helpful. Great menu. So much seating and privacy, perfect place to work or study. It was too hot to take advantage of the outside space but looked so cute. I enjoyed my mocha, great texture. My husband enjoyed his pourover as well.

Really nice gentleman at coffee bar, very helpful. Different taste to choose from. There is also a "pop up" bakery!!! parking not so fun. Yet a chill hidden gem

Coffee culture is different everywhere you go, but I fell in love with it due to the cozy, community-oriented, warm drink wielding environment it brings. So many coffee shops have lost the personal and welcoming environment that makes this culture so great. However, Portico has the original coffee mindset that I love--it's personal, it's a cozy and homey environment, and the coffee is made with care (ie. homemade yummy syrups). Noble, the owner, was great in taking care of me while I was visiting and my basil citrus latte was on point. There's a garden patio area in the back that seems great for good weather. Enjoy!!

Such a treasure! The coffee is wonderful! I love that they use actual cups and glasses for orders in house. Speaking of the house... This is such a cool and cozy spot! It's owner run. He did such a great job of preserving the site and incorporating fun modern art in very traditional space. I love all the different rooms you can sit and work in. I especially love how each room has a lot of natural light! I'm so excited for it to cool off and enjoy the outside area as well.

Stopped by Portico after a friend recommended it and it does not disappoint. I got the fig brown sugar latte and it was a perfect blend of flavors not being too sweet at all. The building is a beautiful old house that has a great patio and they had live music going. I'll definitely be coming back here to work or enjoy time with friends.

As you can see, I very much enjoyed my latte. Date Rosemary Cardamom Latte

As you can see, I very much enjoyed my latte. The owner of Portico, Noble, was incredibly welcoming, helped me choose off the menu and the Date Rosemary Cardamom Latte hit the spot! Highly recommend. Support a local business and visit Portico Coffee!

Milan Gallery celebrates artwork in a much more casual and colorful way, and that's something I really love! Owned and operated by Fort Worth locals (who have contributed several beautiful pieces on display), Milan is a smorgasbord of local, national, and international works of every medium you can think of. Paintings, sculptures, glass work, jewelry, prints, photographs... Id say it's mostly paintings, but in every style imaginable. Abstract works, photo-realistic, impressionist, classical, and more. My favorites are probably the works by Thomas Arvid (I just love wine! I also heard there is an 11 year waiting list for an original creation), Gregory Beck (his sculptures are absolutely gorgeous and so graceful. I love the human figure and his works are extremely elegant), and Ford Smith (he paints the most vibrant and whimsical landscapes). The Dr. Suess works are amazing, of course! M Milan Gallery has shows all the time, so just keep an eye on their website or facebook for upcoming exhibition information. The best part of Milan is that on most Friday and Saturday nights, there's an incredible pianist playing and Tal (the owner) is pouring wine! The staff here is so knowledgeable about the artists and make you feel like family. Tal and Kelly have been especially helpful and welcoming, which makes all the difference in a gallery experience. This is a definite Sundance Square treasure, and I plan to spend many an hour exploring Milan Gallery.

But it's lovely seeing the variety of styles they rotate in each exhibition. The entire layout of the studio has several rooms around a tall, modern white space. It is visually appealing and aesthetically pleasing to the eye. The curators and owners of the space are very friendly and even offered us a refreshment while we were looking around. Of course, being an exhibition, every piece is for sale. Each artist even has an opening and closing event AKA party where you can definitely peruse the museum and potentially buy some artworks. I like the intimate dynamic as an outsider here to be able to mingle with the artist and surrounding community. You don't have to be a full-on art nerd to appreciate this quirky place! Outside, there's even a huge mural of a vortex-looking abstract ringed monstrosity done by the talented Hoxxoh which I dig so much! Go snap a photo with it before it goes away.
