This place seriously has the best burgers ever. They're expensive as hell but I'll pay the price for these burgers. My dad got the Southwest Salad and it was huge! Everything in it looked so fresh. The burgers here neverrrrrr miss. The brute is my absolute favorite. The jam on it with the cream cheese & jalapeños are just the most perfect pairing ever. They now are located at The Hideaway instead of the food truck now and the place is so fun. This place is so much fun at night with the lights lit up and scenery. Was looking for a place with outdoor seating that was dig friendly. The patio area is shaded and air conditioned. This isn't just a place I can take my dog, the food is amazing. When I looked this place up online, I was expecting a completely different experience. I thought we were going to a hangout type courtyard with a food truck and other vendors. This was more like a sports bar to me. It looks like a house from outside. They have a deli, bar and burger place all together. We walked in and the lady behind the deli said to sit anywhere and you could order anything from the table. We were immediately asked to open a tab, which was fine, just unexpected. We were really there just to try the burgers and look around. You can't really get up and look around while you're ordering from a table. Our waitress was new but still seemed very knowledgeable about the menu. Our food came out hot and fresh. We only had the burgers. They were juicy and good, but could have used some salt and pepper. The burgers are on the small side. Quarter pound patty burgers without a side are nearly $13 and it was five dollars to make it a double. It was a nice experience, probably fun to go at night when they have a band. I personally won't return to eat lunch because we felt it was overpriced for what we had. read more

BigKat Burgers... more like the Best Burgers in town! Now nestled in Crystal Springs Hideaway, we were so excited to finally try their brick and mortar location. My husband ordered the Brutte Burger while I tried the Mushroom Swiss Burger. We were both WOW'd by their flavor! I think my mouth actually hit the floor when I had my first bite. The Mushroom Swiss Burger was jam packed with goodness. I told my husband I'd split with him and instantly regretted promise. However, I still held true. It resulted in him saying, "WOW, yours is the BEST!" Which, was a great victory for me as he typically orders better than me :D We can't wait to go back and try more delicious burgers! read more

Big juicy delicious burgers!! This spot is in the the Southside near Bryan ave.. I love the Southside and especially everything in this area. It's a great area to spend a Saturday or Sunday afternoon. I was able to order immediately and it was cooked up while I waited. I went for the Big Kat because I was famished lol. Two 6 oz patties, bacon and all the fixings. Over a lb of food plus regular fries and a Dr Pepper! I only left some bread and a few fries. I scarfed everything else down!! I've been wanting to try this Food Truck since we moved in and last Saturday night was the night! Thanks to Favor Delivery, we were able to order while watching the Cowboys and those burgers were outstanding. I very seldom look at a burger and think, "I don't need to add anything to this." One word - delicious. If you love burgers and you haven't tried BigKat, you are missing out. From quality, to portion size, to service, they do everything right. If you are hungover, hungry, or in the mood to try a new burger, there is something for you at BigKat. I opted for the Philly Kat - packed with candied Jalapeños, nacho cheese, girthy (sorry) mushrooms, and a nice size patty. As a bigger guy I thought - "oh I should get maybe two burgers" but I am glad I went with one. I think this is worth calling out - you get your moneys worth at BigKats and something I absolutely appreciate. The other nice thing to call out is they are partnered with the bars in the surrounding area - so if you are grabbing a drink, you can get an incredible burger as well. I am writing this review in the dead of summer - where we haven't seen a day under 100 degrees in couple of weeks. These guys are operating out of a food truck in this heat and are still cranking out delicious food. We always try to support local, and BigKat is a certainly a gem in Fort Worth you should certainly check out! read more

Something happened. Used to have much more flavorful burgers; Fries are bomb though. Think this chopped business is dumb, why not offer a lettuce wrapped burger instead of a dry ass salad with burger bits on top. Don't like that. read more

Let me just say, there ain't NO burger like a bigkat burger. That's a lot coming from me because I've never been a big burger person. These burgers are very filling and worth every penny. The flavors are definitely there. The fries could use a little work as I like mine crispy vs soft but they are still flavorful. It's a food truck so ambiance doesn't really exist if you're looking for that and my man always brings it to me so I can't personally speak on it, however my man had a full conversation with the owner and liked him and this particular day it was pouring and the owner gave the fries free due to making it out in such horrible weather and it being slow(such a nice treat/gesture). I have been back since and plan to be a repeat. I hope he makes it on the food network or something. read more

Messy delicious burgers. Gonna need a fork to finish this off. I got the mushroom Swiss burger and it was smashed into a heavy hot cheesy gooey package with a bun that had been blackened a bit from the cooktop. Meat was flavorful and the whole thing was a decadent treat. It did fall apart on me hence the need for a fork and lots of napkins. Fries were crispy on the outside and soft in the middle. It was a glorious meal. I would try something else next time- I think regular burger toppings would be my preference over the mushroom Swiss taste profile but this was darn good. I lucked out on a perfect spring evening on a week night so it was ideal outdoor burger conditions - I can see that summer would affect one's enjoyment when eating outside. Service was quick- ordering online may be an advantageous hack to avoid a long line. Can't wait to go back when I'm in the area. read more

When I saw this was a food truck, I was somewhat turned off. When I took a bite of my burger, I thought this place may be one of the best burgers in ft worth?! I wanted the peanut butter boi, but they ran out. Im not sure how one runs out of adding peanut butter to a burger, but I went instead with the last stand (or was it last call?), since it had one patty rather than two. The buns are the biggest factor to how good this was. They have pillow soft, buttery brioche buns that never got mushy or fell apart while eating. The meat was good, although I could have gone with medium instead of well done on how they cooked it. The toppings all stood out, especially the crispy bacon. The taste profile reminded me alot of a JITB ultimate cheeseburger, which threw me off a little, but I guess its the texture of the cheese and aioli that had me thinking this? While I dont know when the next time I will eat here, I will say I hope to try more of their menu. read more

Delicious burger truck in the SOMA area! Burgers and fries are made fresh to order. We had the classic and fries. Absolutely yummy! Hand cut fries were terrific. Burger had fresh veg and the best char on the patty. Staff were nice. Must try -- jalapeño ranch! They have a picnic table outside for seating. Parking lot is a paid lot, so snag street parking if you wanna avoid paying. Perfect afternoon burger on a beautiful Saturday! Would recommend and will return! read more

What a great spot for a burger! Firstly the mushroom burger was one of my favorite all time burgers. The crazy fries they have were great too. Basically a burger on fries. The stand is perfect for a beautiful day as well. Then right when you're done you can grab a drink at the multiple spots in walking distance. We will go back. read more

This place was delicious! The burgers were cooked fresh and were huge and my hubby ordered the loaded fries without reading the description and we didn't realise they had a whole burger sliced up on top of those also, we definitely had leftovers. It took a while to get our food but it was a Sunday and pretty busy also everything is cooked fresh so worth the wait. The guys were cool and friendly and there were a few benches and seats where you could wait and enjoy the local artwork across the street. The only little negative I'd have is there was no shelter for a windy day, and no restroom but if you come prepared or are taking food away, no complaints!! read more

I thought I had a pic of my burger but I guess I ate it before I had the chance to snap a pic. It was a damn good burger. The staff was awesome it's hot as hell outside and there's no AC in that food truck those guys are sweating up a storm in there but they are super nice and friendly and very clean. They changed gloves every time they started another order and that's something most restaurants don't even do. I got the mushroom burger and it was everything I hoped it was. Nice mushrooms with white cheese perfectly cooked smash burgers on a buttery crispy bun. I'm rooting for them to one day get a brick and mortar. I'll continue to support. read more

I may have found my new favorite burger joint. SO good! The hubby got the mushroom swiss and I got the last chance. We tasted each others. Although we both ate and enjoyed our burgers, we both said we would go back and get each others either way, you can go wrong with the burger we ordered. The people are supper nice! WARNING: DO NOT PARK IN THE LOT AT NIGHT (without paying)! We got "citations" sent in the mail for $50 for parking in the lot without paying. The racket is run by SoMa Developers, who have signs which are sparsely placed in their completely unlit lot, which are impossible to see, saying that it's a paid lot. At 6:30 at the end of November, it was pitch black except for the food truck. So, be warned that it's a paid lot. And when I spoke to Bryce (the owner of BigKat) tonight, he said there's nothing he can do about it, and that even he's gotten a citation for his car. I asked him why he didn't have a sheet of paper on the front of his food truck window as you walk up warning people not to park there without paying or why patrons weren't warned by him or staff. He said that there were plenty of signs in the lot (not really, Bryce). What kind of genius sets up his food truck in a lot where he knows that citations are being issued to people on a regular basis for parking there and feels that the sparsely placed warning signs (easily blocked from sight by a vehicle parking there) with no lighting at night, and thinks he has zero duty to warn his customers? He doesn't even mention it on his website! I've NEVER been to an establishment where the parking lot adjacent to it or the parking lot it was in (like this one) didn't have easily viewed warning signs of payment requirements, valet requirements, time requirements, etc. in a very prominent display. Looking at a daylight picture on Google street view, there is one sign on the east side of the entrance (we came in from the west) and one to the left of the food truck as you walk up. But again, the lot is pitch black with no lot lights and no lights on the signs. And when I've been to establishments where parking is an issue, they always warn me, (for example: "If you parked on this side of the street, move your car because it's residents only.") Had it been during the day, the signs would likely have been easily visible. But there were four of us in four different vehicles visiting BigKat for the first time, and none of us saw that it was a paid lot. So Bryce is either not too customer-focused outside of making his food, gets kickbacks from his landlord, or has been told by his landlord that part of his rent agreement requires him not to proactively warn customers about the paid parking requirement. Maybe there's another explanation, but I can't think of one. (Bryce's explanation, if legit, and I believe that it is, falls under the "not too customer-focused outside of making his food" heading.) Anyway, the burger was good (not great) and the staff seemed friendly, so there's that. read more

I'm home now and I just put a fry in my mouth... so basically they want me to finish the fries before EVEN starting on the burger..? They are so good!! They aren't greasy and have just the right amount of salt.. I barely even used the ketchup they gave me!! Impressive because I love me some ketchup on my fries.. the veggie kat???!! Bruh. SO flavorful! And the way I feel after eating everything?? Light and satisfied. I really don't even want to say too much. You won't be disappointed. Only in Fort Worth for a short time. I got the pho burger and fries and 10/10 soooo good.The burger was Sweet and spicy and so much flavor in one burger. They brought me ketchup, but didn't even need them for the fries they were so good. They gave me a side of pho broth which tasted delicious and an awesome touch to dip my burger in. The gentleman who took my order let me know they partnered with hopfusion brewery just down the way, and offered to bring my food to me to the brewery! 10/10 read more

Had burgers last night while at Hop Fusion. The burger has the potential to be awesome, but it was just ok. It was very one note even with LTOP and it wasn't salted at all. Please salt ur burgers! The bun was heavenly. Your fries are inedible due to the amount of salt, and just horrible! Salt ur meat and ease up on the fries - y'all did the work for fresh cut fries, they have the potential to be incredible as well. Delivery service was great, thanks for that. read more

I wasn't expecting much from a food truck but 5 stars for service and OMG the flipping Tiki Burger rocked my freaking tastebuds like no burger has in a very very long time. Seriously - every bite had me singing praises. Also, the guy that took our order is a star. He started with good service by warning us of the paid parking space we initially pulled into then followed with the courtesy of letting my husband know his burger was larger than the container lid would hold down. He wanted to make sure he was cool with that given the cold weather. Icing on the cake - he walked our order out to our car! We were waiting out the weather but he noticed where we were and brought it out to us. Wonderful service and extraordinary burgers! read more

Hence the name, this is a burger food truck. Idk where they usually are or where they frequent, but we found them outside of Legal Draft Brewery. I am not a huge burger fan, but when something unique catches my eye, I must try it. I got the "veggie kat", which is their veggie burger. The "meat" of the burger is a big juicy portobello mushroom cap. The mushroom is grilled and topped with all the good stuff: feta, provolone, bell peppers, onion, tomato, arugula, sprouts, and polished off with avocado mayo! YUM. The burger was really fresh, filling, and delicious! It had so much flavor. I would absolutely get this again! read more

Can't believe this truck doesn't have more reviews, but it isn't surprising that the ones that are on here are 5 stars. We were walking the area one Friday night and found this place by mistake. It was parked on the back side of a street. We walked up and there were three guys just chilling out, talking and laughing at the picnic tables outside. We approached and they were super nice. "Have you been here before?" We said no. They said something to the effect of "welcome to your new favorite burger spot!" They weren't kidding Turns out they're the owners. All best friends. Super chill and friendly. They were great with the recommendations. I'm visibly pregnant and they offered to take the weight of my burger patty, split it in two, and make two smash patties instead to ensure they're cooked thoroughly. I thought that was the kindest offer. I ordered they're classic Kat burger. My husband ordered their Last Chance burger. Both of shared an order of fries. Holy cow... this place is flying way under the radar. Which is so surprising because their burgers have won local awards! Burger sizes were perfect. Big, but not make you feel like you gorged yourself big. Sauces were unique but good. The fries even were that perfect mix of crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. Okkkkkk this is a must try place! My pup and I just started coming to HopFusion to beat the heat and they have QR Code tents on the tables for BigKat Burgers. Pro tip- the first screen asks you what bar you're at and the corresponding QR#- that's out dated so just pick whatever number pops up (mine was HopFusion 25). I ordered the Classic Kat and added a side of jalapeño bacon jam - that's a must! Sooo good even with the fries. Speaking of fries- theirs are hot and crispy on the outside and chewy on the inside- so good. Ok ok but the BEST part of my experience was being able to order a plain unseasoned beef patty for my pup Chewy! Look at the joy on my little man's face! Josh promptly brought my burger in with a big smile and a pet for Chewy. We'll be back! read more

Well worth the money, a good burger isn't cheap, and here you get a really amazing burger! Went out with my family to go and try what are supposed to be some of the best burgers in Fort Worth and we were not disappointed at all! Really yummy food, and the guys who work here are awesome! Plenty of burgers, lots of fun appetizers, charcuterie, one of my friends has some dietary restrictions and they were easily able to accommodate her needs which made us all very happy. This spot has a great bar in the front, and a smaller bar in the rear of the place. Outdoor seating as well as covered seating. Plenty of shade as well which will serve their patrons nicely in the coming Texas summer months. This is also a dog friendly dining spot, plenty of people were there with some amazing canine companions (always ask before you pet a strangers pup, it's just polite and courteous. Almost no one says No!). Assuming you don't have a dog allergy, this will hopefully be a feature. There is a relatively new apartment complex across the street and I get the feeling a lot of the people stopping in were regulars who bring in their dogs during walkies and grab a bite before heading back home, but that is just pure conjecture on my part. Either way, it was a fun inviting atmosphere. The music was nice, not too loud for my old man ears to enjoy but still present enough to be part of the evening without being intrusive. Staff was very nice, helpful, friendly, etc. Everything one would expect from a fine Texas eatery. Lots of spicier options on the menu if you're into that, but by no means anything overpowering. My guess is the owner has stock in some jalapeno growers farm somewhere and the food is all the better for it! If you're in the area already or if you're thinking of branching out for a nice new burger spot, this place is great and I will be returning. I live nearby so it'll likely become part of the regular rotation for us in the coming months. We are spoiled for choice in this area when it comes to good burgers being close to Grumps, close to Kincaid's, and close to Tommy's up on Camp Bowie. But this place competes on good burgers and if you're looking for a fun hangout atmosphere, you'd be hard pressed to find better. Easily recommended! Give them a try, I don't think you'll regret it! When we arrived, a young employee did her best to find the hostess and get us seated. After a few minutes, she honestly seemed more flustered than we were, she apologized and offered to seat us herself. We got settled, I ordered a margarita, and then I noticed a large dog roaming around. No leash, no owner in sight. (Later found out the owner owns the bar, the regulars are very familiar with the dog) I looked down at the menu, then looked back up, and the dog was literally face-to-face with me. We got up to leave immediately. A dog-friendly patio? Sure. That's completely fine. But allowing a dog to freely roam throughout both the outdoor patio and the covered upstairs area is baffling to me. (My last visit a dog was on the table, I assumed the young staff just didn't know how to approach the situation, but tonight shows this is how Hideaway operates day in and day out) When I explained my concern to the waitress, she said she understood and asked me to close out my tab for the one margarita I had just ordered and hadn't touched. No ma'am. I'd been there less than ten minutes, and for me, this crossed a line. Clearly, some guests enjoyed it. I saw people petting the dog and calling it over. Different preferences, and that's their choice. But mine is different. I won't be back, and if I recommend this place to anyone, it will come with a warning: dogs aren't just allowed here- they appear to have free rein of the space, whether that's on tabletops, near your food, or directly in your personal space, whether you want that interaction or not.

They have 4 meat options as well as an Impossible Burger option. They come in single, double or triple meat and the price varies according to what you pick. First time here so I had to go with just a regular smash burger which is the Gusto Burger. I can't remember if I went double or triple, but either choice is good as one thin patty is never the move with a smash burger. It comes with American cheese (the only right cheese for burgers), caramelized onions, their house sauce and pickles. It comes on a buttered toasted bun which held up nicely to all the toppings. This burger was outstanding. I would put it up there as one of the best smash burgers I've had. Everyone in our party agreed. I went with tots for my side and it was a very generous portion that was cooked to perfection and seasoned nicely. I washed it down with a local beer from their nice selection of draft beers. They also have a nice variety of bottled drinks as well as cocktails. I am glad we randomly found this spot in Fort Worth because it was a solid spot to quench our thirst and fill our bellies. I will most definitely be back when in the area.
