Came here for a work luncheon. You order at the counter as you enter and they give you a pager to be notified when it's ready. I ordered the two meats platter with pulled pork and Texas style sausage for my meats with the pinto beans and mashed. The pulled pork was seasoned well and moist, the sausage was full of flavor and a nice pop when you bite into it. The pinto beans were very flavorful but the mashed was dry. The the ambiance was chill and the staff very friendly. All In all a good spot.

Went to Heim Barbecue in Fort Worth for a company dinner and had a really good experience. We ordered a big platter with several different meats and sides, and everything was solid. The brisket was definitely on point. It was tender and full of flavor. All the sides were great too, no misses there. I tried their Heim Light Lager and it paired perfectly. It was a good taste but light enough to enjoy with all that BBQ. The staff was also super accommodating, moving tables around to fit our big group without any hassle. Overall, just a great BBQ spot with good food, good beer, and good service. Definitely worth checking out if you're in Fort Worth.

    Welcome to Heim Barbecue

Barbecue was something my group and I wanted to have while visiting Fort Worth and we were glad that we found Heim Barbecue. While we had a few other options in mind, Heim was a solid choice due to a few reasons. This location has a large parking lot, a decent sized outdoor patio, a roomy interior, plus bar space. While there was no line out the door on my visit, there was a very steady stream of customers during peak lunch hour. The menu is simple yet abundant in BBQ meats and sides. Having a bar and more alcoholic beverages than other barbecue spots is nice. I like that they have BBQ plates (one, two, or three meat) as well as by-the-pound as a choice...as some places sadly no longer have plates for purchase. Please don't ever take plates off the menu! We had their bacon burnt ends (so soft and flavorful, sweet and smoky, and yes...fatty in a great way), beef brisket (love it moist and the seasoning was delicious), pork ribs (fall off the bone tender and didn't need any BBQ sauce though also very good with it), and sides like cole slaw (A-OK, I'd prefer it slightly more creamy), potato salad (so much yum), fries (very typical), mac n cheese (creamy and tasty), green beans (seasoned well), and onion rings (huge rings of goodness). The original BBQ sauce is my favorite but their spicy one is also good. Ask for the sauces when you pickup your order at the counter (since you get a buzzer while food is being prepared) so you can bring the bottle to your table for use. You don't get to see all the slicing and chopping when you order and you just have to trust the process. The staff were very friendly and welcoming on our visit, and we definitely plan to swing by again.

Yes, very nice place. Spacious, with a nice bar. Food top notch. Brisket was great. Pork was great. Awesome sauces. Lady at the register let me taste bacon burned ends. She rocked.

Good BBQ for Texas but there are better places in and out of state. They only offer one kind of BBQ sauce which is super sweet with no tangy notes or any spice. The big plus is the meats are not overly smoky like other places and are really juicy. Definitely better than the other location and less crowded. Service feels like any fast food establishment and the people behind the counter keep eye contact to a minimum if any at all. Otherwise, the place is clean and well thought out with the fountain drinks and bar being in the middle of the building. Sitting outside offers plenty of shade and an easy exit once you're done. We ordered the brisket and burnt ends (aka pork belly). Everything was good but the absence of a smoky and/or spicy sauce would've elevated the meal. The green chili mac n' cheese, coleslaw and banana pudding was a delight for sides. Glad there is an alternative to BBQ. I'd leave it on the map for next time.

BBQ was good, I love the backyard area. .You would never guess you were dining in the middle of a city of a million people! Very pleasant on Tuesday 4/21/25. The sun sets behind the Pecan trees and Cedar Elm and it A OK. .

The food was good. Bacon burnt ends are always fantastic here. The potato skins were not what I expected. They were presented in a mound of potatoes, cheese and meat. They were quite messy but flavorful. The three meat platter was good with nice sized portions of meat. The only thing I would have changed was sitting outside. The weather was beautiful but the flies were horrible.

im pregnant & I wanted some bbq so bad for over 4 months, came here finally & I truly was disappointed, I rather go to coopers bbq in stockyards way more juicy brisket, came here because it's closer to my home. Service was outstanding though

I would say this place gets an E for effort. Clean and inviting restaurant but the food flavor falls short. Employees provided great customer service and thus gave two stars l. Out of the food in the photos only the pork ribs and onion rings would I recommend. The place doesn't even smell of barbecue cooking or smoke. I would stay away. My wife and I left feeling hungry which should never happen at a barbecue restaurant.

We had just visited the Fort Worth stockyards, so we were hankering for some delicious barbecue. We've heard excellent things about Heim and decided to order a sampler of almost everything they had in stock. The flavor of the barbecue was excellent. What was disappointing was the temperature of the barbecue as well as the temperature of the mac & cheese. The manager was very kind and reimbursed us for half of our meal, and did say that he checked the temperature in all of their drawers, but I still can't go over the fact that the food was not hot at all. When mac & cheese comes out, it should be as hot as molten lava. Most disappointing? The fat inside the regular sausage and the cheese inside the spicy sausage was coagulated when it arrived at our table. Lastly, the barbecue sauce container at our table was clogged up so badly that when we tried to use it, it shot barbecue sauce all over my husband's shirt. He looked like one of the speckled Longhorns that we saw at the stockyards.

Great BBQ but the sides are horrible,, I don't think they take reservations here but I could be wrong .

At the River location, I believe they are allowed on the patio but not 100% sure.

Worth every minute of the wait. This one's climbing my top 50 list faster than a brisket disappears at a family reunion. After one failed mission to Sabar BBQ, where I showed up too late and found an empty pit (and an emptier stomach), I came back like a man on a barbecue pilgrimage. The sun was blazing, the line was growing, and I wasn't about to be left holding nothing but a napkin this time. Pitmaster Zain Shafi runs this blue trailer like a flavor command center. The smell hit me halfway through the line and had me grinning like a kid at the state fair. I made my move when it was my turn, and if you know me, you know lamb is my kryptonite. I ordered the Sichuan Lamb Ribs, then couldn't stop myself from adding brisket and Tandoori Turkey. The sides? Kachumber Salad and Daal Chawaal, because even Uncle Sean needs balance in life. Zain loaded everything up, tossed it all on top of some naan for good measure, and sent me to my table like a champion headed to the winner's circle. The first bite of lamb ribs nearly had me proposing to the pit. Spicy, tender, smoky perfection with a bark that made my heart sing. The brisket was rich and juicy, the turkey came with that tandoori kick that slapped me awake in the best way possible. The sauces just tied the whole thing together like a big barbecue hug. The yogurt mint cilantro sauce was made to cool and lift the brisket and turkey to a whole new level. The red sauce packed a punch and paired with the lamb like it was born for the job. I boxed up some leftovers for my wife, the Side Dish Queen herself, because a man who doesn't bring home naan from Sabar BBQ is a man sleeping on the couch. She confirmed what I already knew: this was next-level barbecue, the kind that earns legends and long lines. Sabar BBQ is only open on weekends, and only fools show up late. I won't make that mistake again. This was stop number 15 on my Texas Monthly Top 50 journey, leaving me with 35 more glorious BBQ pilgrimages ahead before the passport is full and my belt officially waves the white flag. If loving these lamb ribs is wrong, I don't wanna be rib-right.

With a bit more seasoning and flavor, the sides could be the hit of the location, and this I think will come with time and practice.
