Enjoyed our meal. Service was fine. Would come back but I'll probably try some other places out next time since we don't live in the area. No bbq

Hidden little gem in a revitalizing area of Fort Worth. Family owned Tex Mex featuring delicious brisket. Fresh ingredients highlighted by great guacamole. They make you feel at home. I definitely need to come back to try more. Highly recommended.

Boy oh boy let me tell you, the reviews are right on..... my new spot, you have to eat here to know what I'm talking about... by far the BEST Tex-Amex in Fort Worth!!! Yes I said it!!! My daughter had beef nachos and she all but licked the plate... also they give you lots of food. Made my food without jalapeños for me since I can't eat them...

I'm in love with their salsa. The best salsa I've had in Fort Worth and probably the best tacos I've had in awhile. Husband got the regular tacos and I got the brisket tacos. The regular ones were flavorful. Husband got them with meat and cheese, but usually comes with lettuce, tomato. The brisket tacos weren't bad. A little on the dry side, but it comes with bbq sauce. Not sure what took me so long to come here!! I thought there would be more bbq mex options than the two I seen on the lunch menu. Maybe need to come for dinner. Good place.

I recently moved to Texas three months ago. So after attending some adventures in Fort Worth we stumbled across this restaurant. The food, the customer service and the atmosphere was five star. Very Fresh and authentic. If you are ever in the area, make sure you stop through and give this restaurant a try

I ordered 2 beef enchiladas and a crispy taco. I food looked great! You can taste the old oil in the chips, taco shell, the tortillas and ground meat from the enchiladas. I was a bit disappointed on that aspect, the side of Guacamole was fresh and delicious.

    Best ribs in Fort Worth.

A great place to have lunch/dinner with family. A great atmosphere. What can I say I'm willing to drive from Arlington for the best chicken fried steak and ribs. Almost forgot...the best homemade fried pies in Texas. The staff is great and very friendly.

The food was hot! It was fairly quick to come out. As far as taste, it was ok nothing spectacular. The place is quaint, old but cool to know it's been there that long. The waitress wasn't overly friendly but kind.

Not the best neighborhood in town, so be careful after dark. Ordered the BBQ meat plate: big slices of brisket, crinkle fries, and a forgettabe side salad: the meat was tasty, a little on the dry side. They serve a warm sauce on the side, which is different but complimented the drier pieces of brisket well. Chips and salsa was an interesting table starter, so I guess this is Mex first, BBQ second: big chunks of fresh tomatoes and peppers, served cold with a nice heat that sneaks up on you, spicy good. Most folks order to go, although crowd here at dinner time was good. Cherry and blueberry individual pies for dessert, house made, were forgettable. CASH ONLY.

"Sabar BBQ: Where the lamb ribs made me want to high five a stranger."…read more TL;DR: Get there early, order the Sichuan Lamb Ribs, let Zain carve you a plate of happiness, and prepare to have your taste buds do a Texas two-step with Pakistani spices. Worth every minute of the wait. This one's climbing my top 50 list faster than a brisket disappears at a family reunion. After one failed mission to Sabar BBQ, where I showed up too late and found an empty pit (and an emptier stomach), I came back like a man on a barbecue pilgrimage. The sun was blazing, the line was growing, and I wasn't about to be left holding nothing but a napkin this time. Pitmaster Zain Shafi runs this blue trailer like a flavor command center. The smell hit me halfway through the line and had me grinning like a kid at the state fair. I made my move when it was my turn, and if you know me, you know lamb is my kryptonite. I ordered the Sichuan Lamb Ribs, then couldn't stop myself from adding brisket and Tandoori Turkey. The sides? Kachumber Salad and Daal Chawaal, because even Uncle Sean needs balance in life. Zain loaded everything up, tossed it all on top of some naan for good measure, and sent me to my table like a champion headed to the winner's circle. The first bite of lamb ribs nearly had me proposing to the pit. Spicy, tender, smoky perfection with a bark that made my heart sing. The brisket was rich and juicy, the turkey came with that tandoori kick that slapped me awake in the best way possible. The sauces just tied the whole thing together like a big barbecue hug. The yogurt mint cilantro sauce was made to cool and lift the brisket and turkey to a whole new level. The red sauce packed a punch and paired with the lamb like it was born for the job. I boxed up some leftovers for my wife, the Side Dish Queen herself, because a man who doesn't bring home naan from Sabar BBQ is a man sleeping on the couch. She confirmed what I already knew: this was next-level barbecue, the kind that earns legends and long lines. Sabar BBQ is only open on weekends, and only fools show up late. I won't make that mistake again. This was stop number 15 on my Texas Monthly Top 50 journey, leaving me with 35 more glorious BBQ pilgrimages ahead before the passport is full and my belt officially waves the white flag. If loving these lamb ribs is wrong, I don't wanna be rib-right.

With a bit more seasoning and flavor, the sides could be the hit of the location, and this I think will come with time and practice. Tried the greens (little bland, but wonderful texture), Mac and Cheese (actually seasoning was spot on), and beans (with meat...meh). The greens and MC were the hits for sure. Brisket was on the dry side, maybe overcooked, and could have used some better trimming before cooking I think. Did not try sausages or chicken, but both looked appetizing. They are still dialing in their pits is my guess, and expect cook quality to improve with a time. Quality of meat may also be worth considering. Overal, Brown's is definitely worth a visit, and as they find their groove they could be a contender. Right now would put them at a fair 3.5 stars, but the energy, great attitude (smiles means repeat business), and great beginnings is worthy of 4 stars even now, and a welcome addition to the neighborhood!
