I actually liked the food. The cat fish is delicious and that coating...omg. I had the carne asada,. It was a little chewy, but still yummy. The staff is bilingual, so that's great as well.

Best little hole in the wall Mexican restaurant in Fort Worth. They have great weekly lunch specials and their seafood choices are so good too.

Came here on a recommendation from a friend after craving a shrimp cocktail. The waitress was very prompt and spoke English as well. The chips and salsa were good (the salsa could have been spicier but that's just my picky self!) The horchata was delicious and refreshing. My friend ordered the Pescado Empanizado (breaded fish), it looked so crispy and juicy and had so much meat on it! My coctel de camaron (shrimp cocktail) was AMAZING. I ordered the large because I knew I would be able to finish it, but I had such a hard time finishing it, it was a lot! There was at least 30 shrimp (I may be exaggerating but I may not) total, with at least 3 shrimp with every spoonful! I was so content with the food and the service, I would go again for sure!

This place has a variety of Mexican food (seafood, and traditional). I love their enchiladas and seafood dishes (except the fish soup- does not have enough seafood) but the rest of the items on the menu are great! Reasonable prices too. Wow new chef on board. Fish soup is awesome and not over priced. I am hooked on this place!

Súper friendly staff. Food is great. Ceviche and cocktails are the favorite. The fajitas looked great too. Full bar service and great happy hour specials. As close to Mexican mariscos as we are going to get on this side of the border.

The only reason I am giving them 4 stars is because I prefer white corn chips over yellow. I'm pretty passionate about my opinions on chips. I can make a meal out of chips and salsa.... This was our first time here and we were very pleased. The review mentioning it's "dingy"- not at all! Perhaps they've updated since then but I found it to be very bright and airy and clean. The food was YUMMY! I had cheese enchiladas and they were soooo perfectly oooey, gooey. My husband had the seafood soup and said it was delicious. He loves seafood so he was in heaven. The prices were not as cheap as a typical hole in the wall Mexican place but we weren't left feeling cheated as the potions are HUGE. Didn't have any alcohol but they had great happy hour prices posted (Monday- Friday, 3-7pm) like $1.75 domestics, $2.50 imports & $3 margaritas. We will definitely be back.

The crawfish had that perfect boil flavor with just the right amount of spice. Gumbo was rich, hearty, and full of flavor. Had to get me a link of smoked boudin and it stood out. It had a nice spicy kick and was packed with the best smokey flavor in every bite. Got me a meat pie and it was exactly what you hope for. Nice and crispy on the outside, savory and satisfying inside. It's a super casual spot with a great indoor area and a solid patio, perfect for just hanging out and enjoying good food. Honestly, it's hard to find Cajun food like this outside of Louisiana, but they did it right. Made me feel right at home!

Definitely peak at the menu ahead of time or you'll be looking up at the menu at the counter while you decide. Never liked that concept but we would only go for the crawfish . 3 stars because the girl at the counter wasn't so friendly when we asked if they had crawfish and seemed perturbed that we didn't want to stay and order something else. May upgrade the rating after we try the crawfish. The outside patio was still a work in progress but looks like it will be pretty nice.

The sauce is almost drinkable, but also don't... it's so much garlic you may end up pissing your stomach off. Shrimp seems to always be overcooked so I never get those anymore. They're mushy, so real overcooked. Service is hit it miss. Sometimes I've gotten a server who may not understand the best English and is sorta short with us. I can understand that, but also it's not enjoyable. The place is usually a mess... But I say that because it's usually super busy as well so I'm not complaining about that because they clean up. It's just a constant flow of people. They also increase their prices quite a bit and the price of snow crab has went down. So unless the prices go back down to a reasonable amount, I probably won't go back, but I'd still advise for you to try it out.

I know it's busier and Friday night but geez, the table we sat at or the chairs we sat on were dirty like covered in some kind of sauce. It got on my jacket and my girlfriend's clothes, no sincere apology they just switched a chair but didn't look like they cleaned it. Had to wait until the end of dinner for part of our order even if we politely asked 3 different workers if we're going to get the rest of our food. This is after 3 other tables got all of their food before we did and were seated after us. Guess if we ever come back here we need to be early or just lunch time. Also, don't get the hibachi beef, it's mostly stir fried vegetables on top of rice with some tossed salad on half the plate. Doesn't taste that good either, but the fried calamari was delicious and served with fries. The gumbo soup was ok but I think I'll just stick with the seafood boil or fried appetizers. They do open up the back dining area when it's busy.

Our group attended for a company dinner and we enjoyed our array of delicious dishes as well as cocktails. Eddie V's is a fine dining experience with business casual dress code required. The interior is polished and elegant with a private room bookable for groups. Now to the food! Appetizers were incredible and I wouldn't mind them being the main course either, especially the calamari. Crispy, fried to perfection with stir fried veggies filled with so much flavor. For the main course, I had the Chilean sea bass. The quality of the seafood here does not disappoint. While Hong Kong styled, it does stray from the original dish stylistically. The traditional element of thinly sliced scallions doused with hot oil as a finishing touch to extract the essence wasn't there but replaced with a bed of micro greens. A little less flavor than expected but delicious nonetheless. Dessert was decadent with the dark chocolate notes mingling well with the fresh berries and ice cream. What stood out even more was the PROFESSIONAL staff. Hands down they were some of the best I've ever encountered in any restaurant experience. They were so attentive to all of us, got all of our orders down without any hiccups, and expertly maneuvered in and out during the company presentation which is definitely a challenge no doubt! Well done Eddie V's!
