Friendly helpful staff, roomy sea worthy dining I ordered the recommended scrimp combo in mild sauce potatoes sausage it all comes together in a plastic bag. Your provided a 12" metal pan, gloves a bib and lot of napkins that you'll need. You dump everything from your bag into your pan and go to work. The sauce is special, full of flavors spices and some heat it's really outstanding. I had sweet tea for the first time it was addicting. Pier 18 staff was very accommodating we were there 4 hours lots of laughs The girls ordered scrimp, chicken and vegetable bowls that were very generous they couldn't finish. The menu covers everything crab, lobster, oysters, calamari, shrimp, fish, chicken wings &, beef. Pier 18 is a destination check them out.

I know it's busier and Friday night but geez, the table we sat at or the chairs we sat on were dirty like covered in some kind of sauce. It got on my jacket and my girlfriend's clothes, no sincere apology they just switched a chair but didn't look like they cleaned it. Had to wait until the end of dinner for part of our order even if we politely asked 3 different workers if we're going to get the rest of our food. This is after 3 other tables got all of their food before we did and were seated after us. Guess if we ever come back here we need to be early or just lunch time. Also, don't get the hibachi beef, it's mostly stir fried vegetables on top of rice with some tossed salad on half the plate. Doesn't taste that good either, but the fried calamari was delicious and served with fries. The gumbo soup was ok but I think I'll just stick with the seafood boil or fried appetizers. They do open up the back dining area when it's busy.

The crawfish had that perfect boil flavor with just the right amount of spice. Gumbo was rich, hearty, and full of flavor. Had to get me a link of smoked boudin and it stood out. It had a nice spicy kick and was packed with the best smokey flavor in every bite. Got me a meat pie and it was exactly what you hope for. Nice and crispy on the outside, savory and satisfying inside. It's a super casual spot with a great indoor area and a solid patio, perfect for just hanging out and enjoying good food. Honestly, it's hard to find Cajun food like this outside of Louisiana, but they did it right. Made me feel right at home!

Nice little bite. Didn't need to add any Tobasco sauce. They know what they are doing. Read a review complaining about the bread on the poboys, but they use Gambino's which is what I'm used to from growing up in Louisiana. Fried shrimp, on the poboy on the other hand were a tad blander than I would have expected. It needs cocktail sauce which I had to use from a table mate since mine didn't come with any or dialed to ask for it. The cocktail sauce added the missing taste. Hush puppies were yummy too. Big serving as a side. Enough to share for sure. The boiled shrimp looked and smelled amazing but I didn't get a chance to sample. Came with a boiled potato, corn on cob and sausage piece. Pretty good deal it seemed. Prices were quite reasonable. Service was spot on and helpful and they checked on us constantly. A great find in a hidden location. Finding authentic Cajun can be difficult in north Texas. But think I've found one finally.

The sauce just made me want to keep going back for more! Service was friendly and fun! Made great recommendations and checked in often! Ambiance was quiet on a Monday night late but I can imagine that the weekends they are packed! Lots of seating and a quaint little spot! Great music but still allowed for conversation. The only challenge was parking! It's a super small parking lot (like maybe 6 spots) so be ready to park on the street and walk.

The sauce is almost drinkable, but also don't... it's so much garlic you may end up pissing your stomach off. Shrimp seems to always be overcooked so I never get those anymore. They're mushy, so real overcooked. Service is hit it miss. Sometimes I've gotten a server who may not understand the best English and is sorta short with us. I can understand that, but also it's not enjoyable. The place is usually a mess... But I say that because it's usually super busy as well so I'm not complaining about that because they clean up. It's just a constant flow of people. They also increase their prices quite a bit and the price of snow crab has went down. So unless the prices go back down to a reasonable amount, I probably won't go back, but I'd still advise for you to try it out.
