I've been to Prolific Butcher several times, and every visit has been outstanding. It's one of those places where I get immediately distracted because I want to take everything home. The quality of the meat is consistently top-notch, and the prices are surprisingly reasonable--especially considering the craftsmanship and care that clearly go into every cut. North Texas doesn't have a huge selection of true butcher shops, but honestly, that's fine... because it doesn't get any better than this. If you're in need of a butcher, Prolific Butcher Shop is an absolute must-stop. read more

Wow. Just plain wow! Saw this as a recommendation to try and I'm glad I did. Truly a hidden gem. Every cut of steak you could want and prices that are better than any grocery store for a much better cut of beef. Pichana, wagyu, dry-aged, pre-marinated, chicken, fish, sausage...all there. Location is a bit hidden around the side of a gas station and its not super big. Staff is friendly and willing to help you get exactly what you are seeking, just ask and they'll direct you. I'll definitely make this my regular stop for meat going forward. read more

We were looking for fajita meats to grill out for her family one Saturday. This isn't too far from home and wanted to give it a shot. It's tucked in the corner of a strip center. When I walked in I was really impressed with how organized and clean it was. They were friendly and very helpful. On top of that it's a great price for really good meat. I got chicken fajita meats, beef fajita meat, fresh tortillas and they have frozen fajita vegetables. We all absolutely loved the flavors when it was cooked that night. This is now my place to go for meats. There was a lot more there I wanted to try. read more

The best butcher shop in North Fort area - worth the drive if you are looking for an honest family owned business. Quality of meat is best available in the area - better than those of Costco, HEB, etc. they also have a great assortment of seasonings, sauces, pickled items, beef jerky, and premade items such as Mac and cheese, smoked wings, and a lot more. Definitely recommend you try at least once - as it's enough to make it your go-to going forward. read more

Came in 20 minutes before closing and there was no prime meat available. Why not have product available during business hours. I can't believe they had no product in the store, just not in the display case. It seemed the employee was cleaning up and I got the impression he didn't want to bring more product to cut. I've been here many times. This is the first time I've had a negative experience. read more

The large selection of different cuts of meat, jalepeno poppers, seasonings and even veggies keeps me coming back all the time!!! The grass fed beef is such an upgrade from the grocery stores. The crew that runs it are the nicest and very knowledgeable if you have any questions. read more

High quality and affordable with great service. This is the best place for meat in the metroplex.

Polite quick service, delicious meats! You can order larger amounts if needed. Beef is beautiful.

Good prices. Good selection, but two issues: I suspect they lie about their grass fed meat. I know meat well and can tell by the marbling and color of fat that their 100% grass fed meat is likely not true. Also, their butcher cuts are very poor. Uneven, even on primal cuts. read more

if you love meat and beef jerky you've come to the right spot. Staff are super friendly and the meat is outstanding!

Grateful to have one near my home. Meat so fresh it comes with a 3-4 week expiration date. Almost everything there comes in vacuum sealed bags. The grass fed meat tastes/smells/looks a bit grassy sometimes, but that's grass for ya. Fresher, cheaper, and better service than any grocery store. Always something dry aged available. read more

I am fairly new to smoking/barbecuing. I needed a reliable place to get meat and I was recommended to Prolific. They have the best cuts in DFW as far as I know. My parties love the meat I bring to the table. Every time I've gone in to pick up meat, I felt welcome even though I'm a complete stranger. Always looking forward to getting my next purchase from here! Thanks Angel!!! read more

A friend introduced us to Prolific when he brought some sausage on a camping trip. Literally some of the best sausage I've ever had! Hubby and I have made a few trip there since then. We've had steaks, ground beef, and of course the sausage. Everything we've had has been good. Some of their prices are kinda high, but you are paying for the quality. read more

Top notch meats, selection and quality. Don't spend time at the grocery stores with those higher prices and small selection. It's as simple as walk in and see your selections right away. Fair prices, top quality tells the whole story. You've found the right butcher, HERE! read more

Incredible. Similar prices to box stores and FAR higher quality. Highly recommend. Their meat is the same price as a Walmart/big chain and the quality is WAY better read more

I'm a convert. It was date night, and we were planning on going to Bob's Steakhouse. But we'd been out of the house all day and just wanted the comfort of home. So I googled for a butcher randomly, because I wanted a splurge night. Well, it ended up being a SAVE night. We got a Waygu NY strip and a Prime Filet. The prices were so reasonable we also picked up a waygu sirloin. All for a 1/3 of the cost of Bob's. We had some fresh corn on the cob and asparagus in the fridge. Salted and peppered them. Let them sit an hour so they'd develop a lovely crust. And OMG. They were fantastic. Grilled the corn too. And the asparagus. Made a quick compound butter for the veggies while the meat was resting and BAM! Honestly, not sure we need to go to out for steak again. read more

Amazing service, quality, and prices! I've gotten their whole chickens for roasting on many occasions and the size is the same as local grocery stores but is half the price. Their steaks have never disappointed us, now have any of their other selections of pork, cheeses, and specialty items. It's very small which tells you they keep everything fresh and up to date. My husband and I are trying their dry aged ribeye and in house made spicy chicken nuggets next! read more

This shop has become my goto spot for quality meats. Got a holiday ham... and have been getting prime cuts from here since Oct 21' at first I was price checking against so many places. Then I realized they are selling quality cuts of beef that I could not even find elsewhere. Prices are very good. Only a super sale at the likes of Kroger on something they are trying to get rid of beats him on average, but... I can not find most cuts elsewhere. They are getting into selling dry aged beef so I am excited if it will also be somewhat reasonable in price considering, if so I may be getting a special cut now and then, read more

Awesome Butcher shop! Some of the nicest people over ever met. They have everything, and are super helpful. My husband makes beer jerky and this will absolutely be our new go to Butcher shop. They stay pretty busy, so if you want certain cuts of meats make sure you call and order a day before. Again, love this place and will absolutely be back! read more

I liked the selection of meat and some seafood items. The prices weren't too bad in my opinion either.

This place is the best. I have been buying from there for years, and now that it's so popular there could be a line, but don't be discouraged. If you have any question just ask anyone in the store (because they are likely regulars who love to talk about meat) or any one of the staff that's there, who are always helpful and friendly. If you're serious about meat then you shouldn't buy from anywhere else. read more

What a find! You just can't beat a local butcher shop. They have everything here you could want! On top of all of this, their prices are not ridiculous! Give them a try! You will be back for more! read more
