I live in…read moreAlaska and come down to visit my wife's family at least once a year, and I feel like I struck gold. We bought some New York steaks to grill and hands down those were the best steaks I've had. I love buying local so whether you live in the Granbury "metro" area or are passing thru, and you're looking for good steaks (and they have a lot of other stuff too!), look no further. The location is non-descriptive, right next to a gas station in a small store front. Don't let it fool you. Mike, the meat man, was very friendly, the customer service is friendly and down home. I'll look forward to brining some Texas beef with me back to Alaska, thank you for providing excellent, quality beef!

I…read moretypically wouldn't give this place a bad review because their beef and other choices are great. I'm giving them a bad review for after hours deer processing. I dropped off a neatly quartered deer a few years ago and gave them a cut sheet, nearly a straight cut and super simple. None of the silver skin was trimmed, they completely did their own thing against my cut sheet, and I didn't receive hardly anything I actually asked for besides the ground burger. At that, the burger was full of silver skin and wouldn't pack. I was also charged $2.50/lb which is about 100% more than any local processor... total cost was $280... pretty expensive dog food. I was expecting top line cuts which I was excited about. Extreme let down. Do not make the same mistake I did! Take your deer to a local processor or do it yourself if you can. Not a knock against their normal product, just a warning if you ever considered dropping your deer off for "premium" processing.

I love the clean , natural, pure ,smell of their products. The lotion really is moisturizing,,,, not greasy and don't leave any film,,,I live in NV and it's the desert here!!! I'm glad I found them. Other brands I tried are mostly grimy,,, not impressed,,, but this company is true to their products! Will order more in the future!

Ordered online is simple with several options to choose from , and the quality is much better than the grocery stores. They deliver in a cooler and 450.00 + gets you free shipping , I usually split the Ocho box with someone and we split when delivered. Today I drove out to Springtown to pickup as I got a smaller box and didn't want to pay the delivery fee. Possibly a mistake as I picked up some tabiltas, tri tip, and pichana just to top things off. Typical counter service butcher style processing center. Friendly service quick in and out. They're offering 20% off 1st purchase online every little bit helps this should last about a month or more so feeling really good about this purchase

Here's the reason I will not return after my 3rd visit: Worst servers I've ever had every single time I've come in. They all act so miserable to be here, no smiles or grace whatsoever. After they bring your food out they will sit at a table in the front and you will not get your drinks refreshed, or anything else you might need unless you get up and ask. It's horrible. After 3 similar experiences, I'm gonna miss the food but not enough to come back into this hostile environment. Duece's!

My husband and I finally got to visit Wise Choice Custom Meats today! We were super excited to find…read morethis local meat market, as we normally order through Porter Road and have to wait on shipping for weeks sometimes. This is a game changer :D There are freezers full of delicious frozen offerings, fries, jalepeno taters, fried pickles, etc, and we grabbed a few to try. Also, there is a wall of quite the selection of local honey, jams, etc. BUT the real gem, the raw meat counter was chock-full of incredible cuts and varieties of meats! We decided to try to the cordon bleu chicken and brisket poppers this trip, as well as an 18 pound brisket, YUM! The employees were ready to help with any questions and even handed us a basket when our hands started to get too full. So grateful! I will note for future review readers, there is about a 4% card charge. Apparently there are signs that I missed while I was busy bouncing my eyes from product to product, so I ended up having to call once I got home about why the receipt showed a much high price than the label on the meats. So, the price label on the products is the cash price, totally understandable! In conclusion, Wise Choice exceeded our expectations on meat selection, and they even have Diet Dr Pepper and Topo Chico (I didn't have to run to Walmart for sodas! Woohoo!). Thanks team!!

Her rude side kept sneaking out. But she tried. I always remember "What people say and do says more about them than it does about you...". This place didn't try to be clean. I have em the benefit of the doubt but my wife gave the white glove treatment. She noticed bacon under the display. Dried out cubed steaks. The floor didn't look tidy. Anyway, Glenda says that they let their butcher go (on a Friday?!). Their saw broke. What else could go wrong? Got the NY Strips and some filets mignons and left. Glenda was nice. The meat was GOoOiOd!! Rare is best! I put up some pics. Gotta call em like I see em. Just sayin...

Cooked them medium rare, and they were a bit tough, had gristle, and the flavor was about what I would expect at Tom Thumb or Kroger. Pretty disappointed and just feel like everything is way overpriced. I could be wrong, but I expect the freshest meat possible when I go to a butcher. If the steaks had been amazing, I wouldn't have cared about the price. In the past, I have purchased a prime rib, which was good but not great. The best thing I have purchased are their pork chops.
