I've been there a couple of times now. The most recent visit we purchased two boneless ribeyes. Over $34 a pound and not prime. Cooked them medium rare, and they were a bit tough, had gristle, and the flavor was about what I would expect at Tom Thumb or Kroger. Pretty disappointed and just feel like everything is way overpriced. I could be wrong, but I expect the freshest meat possible when I go to a butcher. If the steaks had been amazing, I wouldn't have cared about the price. In the past, I have purchased a prime rib, which was good but not great. The best thing I have purchased are their pork chops. Those were excellent, and the only reason this is getting three stars. read more

This was a pop up event that showed up on my timeline. The burger was okay, very thick which is why it was a bit dry and disappointing. The event was held outside and it was hot. The seating is very limited as I ended up sitting on a curb in an under construction area down from the event. Service wasn't bad but the event fell flat for in person. read more

Deep Cuts Butcher Shop absolutely deserves 5 stars. We had been going to the same butcher for about 20 years before it closed, and after trying to find a new place that wasn't too far, we were coming up short. My husband had found a couple of options in Plano, and we were actually on our way there when I decided to do a quick search. That's when I found Deep Cuts based on the amazing reviews--and we were pleasantly surprised by how close it was. As soon as you walk in, the shop is immaculately clean with a really cool look to it, and they were even playing great house music, which added to the vibe. Raul helped us and he was incredibly knowledgeable about all the cuts of meat. We were looking for certain cuts, and he walked us through everything with so much expertise. We ended up getting the tri-tip, the picanha, and the marinated skirt steak to try based on the reviews. We're definitely coming back for the pork belly, and we want to try their Italian beef sandwiches during the week too. Raul mentioned we can always call ahead to make sure they have the cuts we want, which is super helpful. We were genuinely impressed with this butcher shop. Friendly staff. Great meats. They often have picanha! On Fridays and Saturdays, they serve the best cheesesteaks I've found in all of North Texas. They even serve them with pepperoncini peppers, which provide a fantastic acidic contrast to the delicious beef and cheese. read more

We've been coming here for a couple years now and I think you can really taste the difference in their products vs what you get at your grocery store. Heads down the best local meat shop in the area! We love going here and getting cuts of steak for our nice steak nights or if we know we are hosting events where we need a good quality meat- this is our go to place. The employees have always been professional and knowledgeable with their products and very helpful. They also have a frozen section where you can also purchase items that are ready to go (just frozen). Our favorite is the blueberry breakfast sausage patties. Mixed on this. Big on supporting a local business. But post COVID and after the best of Dallas reviews, it's gotten really expensive. Example: a center cut choice filet is 45.99/lb now. Central market charges 42.99 for Prime. Explanation of an up charge for center cut being a chateaubriand doesn't pass muster. A center cut filet is not a "petite roast". Just don't like being talked down to to justify high prices when I'm an educated consumer. Perhaps the aged selections are worth it, cases look nice for that. For now though, I can butcher my own tenderloin for less, and get better value at Central Market for the service of having them cut it. It's a shame because I've liked this place, but even as a high earner I have to rethink everything now that it's Biden's economy. read more

This is a very nice, small butcher shop in the middle of a large shopping plaza; its pretty hard to miss it. I went in looking for chicken bones and I ended up getting chicken feet which is even better than I ever imagined! I didn't think they would carry chicken feet for broth. It was $13 for 1 1/2 lbs of local, farm raised, organic, chicken feet (so much better than the ones from the grocery store!) From what I understood, two buddies own this shop. All the meats are local in different farms around the area. They sell beef, chicken, duck breast, pork, various kinds of sausages, charcuterie/dried meats, duck fat, soups, cheese, olive oil, spice rubs and sauces. I was also looking for lamb (if you call 24 hrs in advance they'll get you cuts of lamb they don't traditionally sell) so next time I'll call in advance to get ground lamb for homemade burgers and sausages. I'm also sure they sell sausage casings upon request. They told me the weekends are very busy so try going during the week. They get various cuts of meat daily. The awesome thing is too this place doesn't have any funky odors like most meat shops! It's so clean, well managed and the two guys who own the shop truly care about what they do. I decided to give the shop a try, because I'm looking for a nearby butcher. (Sick of grocery store steak, chicken, etc...) I pulled up and read that they took curbside and call in orders. Assuming that they would still take walk in orders, I tried to open the door. (Quick Tip, just go to their website, or call ahead to see what they'd recommend) I was quickly met by a brown/black haired younger guy, who was really knowledgeable about their selection. I was a little put back that I couldn't see the cuts, so I could get what I wanted, but decided to take him at his word when he told me that the Wagyu Ribeye and Wagyu Tri-Tip looked especially good today. For two 1.5-2in steaks, it ran me $75 and the Tri Tip was about $50. I'm not gonna lie, I was kind of nervous at the price, and skeptical of the steaks, I got home, and just took a look at these gorgeous hunks of meat. The quality rivals Australian Wagyu, and the price point for such quality was definitely fair. All of this being said, thanks to the butcher who recommended the cuts of meat. A really special place. A true neighborhood butcher shop. Run, don't walk to this sweet little shop with great hours and amazing products. I've purchased steaks for 4th of July several years in a row. I used to get all my meat at Central Market. Not anymore. You can really taste the quality of the steaks here. I love that I can get the same steaks they sell at the high end steakhouses here in DFW, but get to cook it myself, how I want it, with my side dishes, in the comfort of my own home. Last time I went I picked up charcuterie, barbacoa and some blue cheese burgers. They even offer buns at the register from La Spiga Bakery. The same bakery that Kenny's uses for his restaurants. I have been buying product here for a while. The meat is pricey but very good quality and this is a true butcher shop where they'll cut what you want. That being said, I am now avoiding this place since I can't get waited on at busy times. No number system available and if you are slightly handicapped and older you will be ignored when it's busy. I missed getting meat for Thanskgiving and Christmas . I went twice within a couple of hours 2 days before Thanksgiving and was mostly ignored. So, I avoided the shop before Christmas because I didn't want to deal with the attitude and lack of service. I had high hopes for this shop because it's easier to get to and in/out of compared to Central Market. For the holidays I bought filet at Whole Foods and was treated like I was welcome and the meat was good. I won't say never but I'll go out of my way to go somewhere else for meat. read more
