Finally got downtown to try out the Cuban food truck that everyone raves about. I ordered the Cuban Frita and side of Moros. The Cuban Frita was a tasty hamburger but I would not call it a frita. It had no taste of Spanish and smoked paprika that makes it a Frita. The patty was also a bit thicker than I expect for a frita but again it's a great hamburger. The Moros were good and it was a big portion size. I will absolutely be back to try other dishes and frita again (hopefully spices will be up'd Lola's keep up the good work... up the paprika spice in the frita please

I arrived and had a conversation with a gentleman outside who was from Miami and he insisted this was the go-to place for Cuban food. I ordered the Cuban Sandwich and Sweet Plantains and I loved the food. The portion size is very good for the price and have been back several times since my first experience, each time they have delivered quality food. Like the gentleman from Miami said, this is definitely the go-to place for great Cuban cuisines. Go check it out!

We didn't take pictures because we were muriendo del hambre. I can't believe this place has no reviews but I'll be the first to tell you guys... GO! Me and my cousin are from Miami and I visited him in Fort Worth and we gave this place a shot.. a little scared since we couldn't find any reviews or pics but we took the risk and we don't regret it. We ordered the Cuban tour, tostones, and a Cuban sandwich. The sandwich was our favorite. Everything else was just as good. La comida tenía mucho sabor. The Cuban sandwich and sauce was good along with the hot sauce you can buy. But the food was very greasy, the maduros weren't too good they were very oily and seemed like it was microwaved. The Cuban sandwich was different from what I've had but it was good. read more

With such high reviews, we decided to try this place. Ordered on line thinking it would be ready by the time we arrived. It took over an hour to get our food which was overcooked and dry! My Cuban sandwich was supposed to include fries but they did not include them. My sandwich was so dry, I could only eat half and tossed the remainder! Sorry but will not be back! read more

The owner of this truck made me feel like I was back in South Florida. I had the Pan con Lechon. Pork was super tender and great flavor. Ordered the platanos as any extra side. Glad I did because the fries that came with sandwich were very (too) crunchy. The dipping sauce though was soooooo good. So happy to see they had cafe con leche and colada on the menu. Cuban sodas and malta were also available! All he needs to do is add some guava pastelitos and itd be perfect! Will definitely be back but would recommend ordering ahead of time as seating is outside on the corner of a busy street. read more

So good I ordered it twice in the same day. First order was a Cuban sandwich and that put me in a little bit of a euphoric state the second order was a combo plate with meat and rice and beans I know it sounds basic but it's not, the flavor is very savory and the food makes me feel good afterwards unlike other places where it has me feeling like crap after I eat there food. My food was absolutely yummy, I ordered the Cuban sandwich with fries. It was so good I would def go back to get that again. But my boyfriend's experience was not so good. He could tell they mixed leftover meat in with the new meat they made that day and he was disgusted. He liked the sandwich though. But couldn't because he lost his appetite. read more

I was really craving Yuca fries and plantains. This truck hit the spot! The shredded beef was delish, and their side salad is not something to dismiss! So good and tangy. Their sauce = delish. The plantains were like a dessert. My husband said his Cuban was a little dry, but he said next time he would just add their sauce. Rice and beans were good too! Great spot. We can't wait to come back and try something else. read more

This is hands down the best foodtruck i know, the owners are so friendly and the food so delicious. Do not forget to order tostones and yucca fries for your sides, you'll be asking for 2nds. Also, their grilled chicken, my daughter inhaled hers and she's not even a chicken fan. read more

But boy, did they walk into a situation that really required 2 to 3 food trucks, and they were the only one... The line was long and the wait was longer, but I can't really fault them for that. Witherspoon had a bigger than expected crowd that evening, with some live music and a couple of events (including a Match.com event - that made for some fun people watching). Apparently BMB was told earlier that day that a large crowd could materialize, so they didn't really have time to buy extra food or prep much. But they kept smiling and were nice about it, and everyone went with the flow and it was fine. By the time we finally got our food (made to order for sure - took a while), we were starving. I got the burger (the brisket on a biscuit had run out) and my wife got the special (which I'm blanking on). Both were very tasty. The burger was maybe just a *tad* overdone and the patty wasn't big, but serving it on a biscuit-style bun with some yummy sauce made for a good, hefty sammich. With a side of fries that we shared - which were excellent - it was plenty of food. Value was pretty good, too, particularly for a food truck. I don't think I'd go as far as calling it gourmet like some people have, but it was good and were satisfied. I'd totally order food from the BMB truck again. So yesterday (10/3/2012) Keller had it's first pop-up food truck event. I was very happy to catch wind of it, for I'm usually late to the party when it comes to events. In attendance were Gastro Bomber and So-Cal Tacos (http://www.yelp.com/biz/so-cal-tacos-fort-worth). My plan was to order something from each truck, one as a way to show support, and two, well because I'm a glutton and wanted to try both. I looked over both menus and came to a decision. From GB it was going to be the Chicken and Waffle Sandwich. I've been wanting C&Ws forever, from anywhere, and tonight was finally my night to try this item. The first thing to point out is it was not really a "sandwich" unless you want to stretch it and call it an open-faced sandwich. Second, it was not a full-sized waffle, but rather something rectangular. It consisted of three pieces of boneless chicken and a drizzle of maple syrup. Cost, $8. It was very good. The chicken was tender and the waffle delicious. What I noticed, and confirmed, is that there is corn meal in the waffle batter. I was told this is the Southern twist they like to add to there food. It was like Belgian cornbread. Yummy! Now I will add my wife's comment, which seem to be true of all food trucks, is that the cost to quantity ratio seems to be a little high. Three large tenders on essentially half a waffle for 8 bucks seems a bit much. Now I came up with a new take on the cost and that is this; One, your getting to try something new and somewhat unique. Two, and here's the kicker, your bottom line cost is perhaps a bit less than if you sat down in a restaurant. If tips are expected at food trucks, I did not see any obvious vessel for the cash to go in. You can bring your own drinks, and thus your bottom line for a unique dining experience really is not bad. I for one am glad this came together. I was excited when I learned that Keller might be getting it's own food truck park, and was disappointed when I learned the plans were not approved. Somehow I think Keller's loss will be Roanoke's gain (Actually Corina T., aka the "shark lady", who I met at this event said that). From this point forward I will keep track of food trucks coming to Keller, and there are definitely a few more items on GB's menu I would like to try (Irish Nachos, Shepherd's Pie Croquettes, Fish and Chips, Picanha Sandwich). PS. If you missed it, they will be back in the same spot (at the CVS at the NE corner of 1709 and Rufe Snow) next week, 10/10/2012 from 5 to 8PM. One quick tip: Do bring your own chairs!
