    Soft Beef Tacos
    Yitzhak O.

I ordered two soft tacos with beef. They weren't what I expected. They had lettuce and tomatoes covering them. I was expecting Queso for some reason. They were very good but I'll read the descriptions more closely next time. I might try something else next time. I picked up some of their Beef Tamales and they are really good. I also picked up some of their Spicy chips for home. I remember eating their Chips at Los Alamos when they were in business. They were good and the Los Alamos salsas were very good and 9am the right amount of spiciness for me. Muy picante!!! I miss Alfred, Alex, and Norma. They always knew what I wanted and sometimes would make recommendations. I usually ordered Chorizo con Huevo with chopped jalepenos. They expanded my knowledge of TexMex breakfast.

Charro Beans came with meal! Perfectly sized, hearty & oh so good like homemade! Is my Abuela back there?

Aah Yes! Backstory: I wanted to know who made that delicious, perfectly crispy tortilla chip from Taco Casa & one day while there, I noticed some boxes that read "Cardona Foods" in their kitchen & after searching online, I came across this Authentic TexMex treasure! It was even better than I expected from the fast service to the delicious savory food that was better than than any TexMex in Dallas. I wish they were closer to me & open more hours but the fact that they only run Lunch hours was an indication that they really take focus on their food & specialize in TexMex, not Tex-Messss! Mmmmmm, sooo Goood!

Migas, charro beans and ranchero sauce.

We come here almost every Sunday for breakfast, migas are the BEST! Breakfast is only served on Sunday, 9-2. They are closed on Saturday. You can also order off the regular menu. Migas are served with charro beans-perfect flavor and potatoes. Ask for the ranchero sauce, it's served warm and has a perfect seasoning! Coffee is very good too! Melissa is the best waitress

My wife and I have a "lunch date" each and every Thursday. There are times when we get into a "rut" and eat at the same restaurants over and over. This week my wife said we were going somewhere new, some place I hadn't beet to before. I was intrigued and excited. We drove into an industrial area off Meacham Blvd. She said we were there and told me to turn into the parking lot of a warehouse looking building. The funny thing was there was no sign out front letting anyone know what the building was. We walked in the door and the restaurant was packed. Someone knew something that I didn't! We were seated immediately. Chip and salsa arrived at our table shortly after we had time to look at the extensive menu. I was watching the plates being delivered to the adjoining tables, the plates and servings were massive. Oh my gosh, no one could go away hungry from Cardona's! My wife ordered the "lite" lunch with a crispy taco, rice and refried beans. I ordered the Mexican Diner which consisted of a homemade tamale and choice of enchilada. I opted for the sour cream chicken enchilada. As we were waiting on our entrees we munched on tortilla chips and salsa. The chips were hot and crisp, not greasy at all the the salsa had just enough "kick" to make it interesting to the taste buds. Our entree arrived very quickly and they were fantastic. My plate had one of the best tamales on it I've ever had at a restaurant. The chicken enchilada was packed full of shredded chicken meat. The rice and refried beans were both seasoned perfectly. My wife said her crispy taco was delicious. It's so refreshing to have a new restaurant on our Thursday "lunch date" rotation. We'll definitely be back soon to "Cardona's" for lunch. Seek out the restaurant, you won't be sorry! It's worth the hunt to find it!

However, I find the food to be quite a let down, not worth the price. I had the sourdough and it was good. I had the steak and fries for the main course with the upgrade cuts of steak. The fries were well seasoned however not all was good evenly and some over cooked and some undercooked. The steak was okay, the sears were bad and so was the overall flavor. Overall, I think it's a great place for a business meet up and if you are standing at the property but nothing too special. Note: this was lunch menu and I heard the burger here is good so many you can try that but I wouldn't recommend the steak at all.

We opened with a cocktail from the bar, which set a high bar for what followed -- unfortunately, not everything cleared it. The Deviled Eggs with Spicy Best Maid Pickles arrived looking the part, four to an order, but tasted like they'd forgotten to show up to their own party. Bland, flat, and in desperate need of seasoning, we reached for the salt shaker, which helped, but shouldn't have been necessary. The pickles, to their credit, were doing their absolute best and were genuinely the only flavor happening on that plate. Skip these. The pickles deserve better supporting cast. The Cheeseburger with Wasp Sauce on a potato bun, however, is a different story entirely. We ordered it medium, half expecting the kitchen to interpret that however it pleased, but it arrived cooked exactly as requested, which felt like a small victory worth celebrating. The Wasp Sauce is a mystery worth solving, and the house-made chips that come alongside are fresh, crisp, and dangerously snackable. Pro tip: order a side of ranch for dipping. You're welcome. We also added a side of fries, which were equally excellent. No notes. Little Red Wasp has real charm, great energy, a fun bar, and a cheeseburger worth crossing Main Street for. Just steer clear of the deviled eggs and order the chips with abandon.

The fried chicken and kale salad complemented each other so well I highly recommend as well. - The deviled eggs were good but they are just basic so you can skip those (unless if you were craving it). - The pimento cheese was very good too it was packed with flavor. I wish it came with more bread but I'm assuming we could've asked for more. - A little pricier than you would think but honestly this place had so much flavor I'm not gonna continue to complain about that lol.

We started with the biscuits and cinnamon roll. I would recommend both. The biscuits came with a jam, honey and whipped butter. The cinnamon roll, which may look a bit underwhelming had a such a great crispy texture on the outside while still being fluffy on the inside. The icing wasn't too sweet and complimented the roll nicely. For the table, we had the pollo frito biscuit w/duck fat potatoes, Brisket Benedict w/okra and the Fixe Breakfast entree w/maple sausage and potatoes. The pollo Frito was delicious, the chicken was seasoned well and maintained crunch even within the biscuit. Duck fat potatoes were also good but were even better after adding some salt. The brisket benny was okay, the texture of the brisket was very odd and didn't really hold up to the egg. Although the okra had a great flavor the batter was a bit too thick which made it chewy. The Fixe breakfast was great and the maple sausage was perfect. Our waitress was Adriana, she was great and very helpful. Overall we would definitely come back and look forward to trying dinner one night.

However the bathroom sinks may just be an elaborate prank pulled on every guest of this hotel. There are many photos already on here, but the pictures don't do it justice. The sink is approximately 7" x 12", and has a mirror jutting out over a portion of it, leaving you with roughly 4-5" of functional sink space. This will be the smallest sink you've ever used in your life (and I've spent lots of time in NYC and Chicago, where I've used some very small sinks). Need to wash your hands? You're getting water on your feet. Shave? Better wear a bathing suit. Wash your face? A wetsuit is recommended. Accidentally turn the water on too high when doing any of the above?
