Loved the ambience in this place. I really liked how they had real plants and trees. They played Hawaiian style music and the lighting was dim to help set the vibes. The service was great and friendly. My husband and I really enjoyed the hand washing station. A nice touch bc you have to eat the shrimp with your hands. The food was great! I didn't know about this location and was excited to find it on yelp. It is big, easy parking & appears clean. We went for lunch on a Saturday and had two parties ordering before us - was a very short wait to order. They were busy but not crazy and packed which is what I'm used to from FW Southside location. We had our food within 10 minutes. We got the coco shrimp and the garlic butter shrimp. Both with heavenly rice and salad with the poppyseed dressing. The portions are large and probably enough to split. We were giving it our all but couldn't finish our plates. Very filling. The garlic butter drizzle on the rice is sinfully delicious. I appreciated the sink alongside the restroom to easily wash my sticky hands without having to go into the restroom. I do wish you could order two flavors with less qty shrimp.- maybe 4 total. This is a wonderful restaurant. I had lunch there yesterday. The cashier, Kate was very welcoming and pleasant. I had the Lemon Pepper meal and my wife had the Coco Shrimp meal. They've done a great job insuring uniformity in the food across their locations, they are one of my favorite local places, when I first tried them they were out of their food truck. I had the Coco shrimp plate with their signature salad that had Romaine and the right mix of Craisins with homemade ginger dressing. The Cocoa shrimp tacos were also a hit! Occasionally you run across a little place that you've heard about but never took the time to stop at. This is it. Just a couple miles from my house and drive by every day twice! I had heard great things but reserved the right to make my own opinion. Well one night after work I stopped by and placed an order. Very cool inside! Makes me feel like I'm on an exotic island. Smells even better. That smell of deliciousness!! I ordered the sampler plates and three tacos to take home and try. It wasn't terribly expensive and ready in about 10 minutes. They packaged it very securely for the short ride home. By the time we opened up our food it probably had been 15 minutes after I left the restaurant. I was amazed it was still very warm. Then we dove in..... Every single bit that we took was a little taste of heaven on earth. No kidding. So much flavor and just the perfect amount of seasoning. They have a magical sauce on their food that just takes it to a whole new level. Then that rice....oh my! I'm not usually a fan of white rice but this stuff was delicious. There are quite a few varieties of shrimp to choose from (I choose The Sampler on this visit), which you have to order from a cashier at the front of the restaurant. Afterwards, you'll have to bus your own table, which is ok. Seating here is so-so due to square footage space (probably 10-12 in total). Like anything else, this venue gets packed during lunch hours- expect a line at the front door. Entrees are usually served in plentiful servings of shrimp, rice, lettuce, and cranberries. The Sampler at the time was between $12-$13.00, which makes lunch for two with drinks a total of $31.00 after tax. Parking here is tight in some areas in the front. read more
