The wife and I randomly decided to try Coco Shrimp. It's a nice chill place to catch up with friends or grab lunch with your person. The atmosphere and service were amazing. The staff were very friendly and insightful with their own personal recommendations. Sam and Patty were amazing people and we really appreciate them. Pineapple lemonade mixed with regular lemonade. 10/10... it was good but I added water to it because it was too sweet. Sweetness is a preference and I am not really a sweets person. Coco shrimp: 8/10 the only reason why this is 7/10 is because we have all had coconut shrimp. Spicy shrimp: 10/10.. out of the bunch this was my favorite. Perfectly sauced, perfectly seasoned and enjoyably spicy. It is not fried A must try. Sweet & spicy shrimp: 10/10.. this was good too. This shrimp is fried and sauced. Coco Shrimp was a random find while exploring Fort Worth with some of my Houston and Dallas peeps. We were having cocktails nearby at the Amber Room and this place happened to be just a hop, skip and a jump over. With almost a perfect Yelp rating and the volume of reviews, I knew we were in for a good meal. This is their first location but have quickly expanded throughout the Fort Worth and Dallas area and a lone location in College Station. It was fairly busy on a Saturday night but the staff here kept the lines moving with excellent customer service. Having just travelled to Hawaii, this place gave me major island vibes and I was all for it. The menu here is pretty simple. Shrimp, rice and salad in a few different varieties. It was inspired from the shrimp trucks you find all around Hawaii. You can get your shrimp prepared fried with coconut flakes, or get it sauteed and tossed in either butter garlic, spicy, or lemon herb. You can also get a sampler plate with any three shrimp flavors of your choice. With every plate you get 6 nicely sized shrimp with buttered rice and salad for around 12 bucks while the sampler plate comes with 7 shrimp for just a dollar more. To me, that's not a bad price for a pretty well balanced, quality meal. I was in a spicy mood and went with the spicy shrimp and asked for extra rice instead of the salad. The food came out fairly quick and was hot and fresh. This plate of food definitely hit the spot. Typically when having drinks, I look for something greasy like a burger or pizza, but this meal was very enjoyable. The shrimp was cooked to perfection and sauced just right. It had the kick of spicy I was looking for while still having good flavor. The rice was pretty basic, but paired well with the shrimp. In hind sight, I should've stuck with the salad for a little freshness. I drank water, but having the option of a Hawaiian Sun canned drink would have been a very welcome addition to the meal. Everyone in my party enjoyed this random find. At the rate they are growing, they would be a very welcome addition to the Houston area. I will definitely be back if in the area. read more

Casual spot, family friendly, parking at this location can be difficult but I usually park on the street. I love getting the sampler with lemon herb, butter garlic, and coco shrimp. The coconut flavor does get a little too sweet for me after a few bites, but it's a great option if you love coconut. The shrimp comes with a very generous amount of white rice and a salad with cucumber, craisins, and your choice of dressing. I always get the ginger dressing, it has the perfect amount of zest. I went with a couple of orders of sampler platter, which gives you seven shrimp in three different flavors. We did the Coco Shrimp (classic), butter garlic, and spicy. The Coco Shrimp is fried, while the other two are seemingly boiled and tossed in sauce. Each order is served over salad and butter garlic rice. I'd read on Google that the butter on the rice can be overwhelming, but we didn't find that to be the case at all. We thoroughly enjoyed our entire meal. I barely managed to finish it all, but my wife gave up and left some of her salad at the end because she was so full. If you need an idea of how good the food looked and smelled-- we were eating in the hotel lobby, and pretty much everyone from the conference who came by was asking where we got lunch from. I ordered from Coco Shrimp on Uber Eats with the BOGO deal, and I was really impressed with the generous portions--definitely a great value! The flavors were good, and everything was well-cooked. My only suggestion would be to offer an orange marmalade sauce instead of (or in addition to) the sweet Thai chili sauce, which I think would complement the shrimp even better. After ordering, I checked out their Instagram page and really enjoyed learning about the story of the brothers who started this business, inspired by one of them living in Hawaii. I got the herb butter shrimp, then I added a lemon butter and spicy shrimp. All three were great. Landed in Dallas and I wasn't eating meats on Fridays, so the only place I knew where to order food from was Coco shrimp. I ordered the sampler. I got the coconut shrimp, sweet and spicy shrimp, and the garlic butter shrimp. They were all so delicious on top of white rice that was so fluffy. This place hit the spot. I heard about this place from my real estate agent and was in the area so decided to check it out with a friend of mine who's been wanting to go too. I ordered the original coco shrimp and she got the 3 shrimp sampler and a shrimp taco. It's a super casual spot with lots of available tables. To order, you go up to the cashier. They'll ask for your phone number and name. You go sit down or grab a drink from the fountain. They'll text you and call out your name when ready. The coco shrimp was a pretty good size and it was really flavorful. It was served with a side salad with either a poppy seed dressing or ginger dressing, sweet and spicy sauce for the shrimp and rice. I think the rice had furikaki on top which is a seaweed and sesame topping. It was delicious with the shrimp. I'd definitely come back. I wish that I had all these options for food when I was going to law school downtown Fort Worth! I try to visit the new spots whenever I'm in town and this time I tried out Coco shrimp. I honestly did not know what to expect. I didn't really look into them before I went, but I was definitely pleasantly surprised by how much food I got for the price that I paid. The person that helped take my order was super nice. Gave me his recommendations for what I should try and good choices. If I could do it again I think I would get more salad than I would get rice for my side. All the different types of shrimp that I tried were actually really good! Going back next time, I would try the other flavors! Parking: there is parking, but you might have to look for a little bit and I think there was some construction in the street last time I went so be weary of that. I usually get the garlic butter shrimp and it is always great but this last time I decided to order 2 CoCo Taco's! Unbelievable! They were so good that I made myself eat as slow as I possibly could. I just didn't want it to end. There was only 2 things that were disappointing, finding a place to park and once I did I noticed the tacos were $2 higher than they were 2-3 days ago.
