We went to Blue Sushi to celebrate our anniversary and we were not disappointed!! The service was great and the inside is so cute. The food was amazing and the drinks were well balanced and very tasty. Absolutely some of the best sushi we've ever had!! I recommend trying for anyone looking for unique sushi rolls. Unfortunately I can't remember the names of each specific roll we ordered but we liked everything we ordered.
Really delightful spot with bright, open interior and tons of bar space. So many people seemed to know each other here and were so friendly to talk to so there's a clear regular clientele coming in for those impressive happy hour prices. Service was quick on the bar side, even if it took a minute to get my sushi since it was incredibly busy. Genuinely don't think they could fit one more sushi chef behind the bar to get things running any faster during that sudden rush. Parking was a bit rough but that's how it is in that area. The fish itself was simple and clean but wish the cuts were thicker for the price.
Excellent sushi and a really cool dining experience! The hostess was very friendly and accommodating. She showed me all the seats within the restaurant and let me pick my own spot. Hands down some of the best sushi I have had. Their attention to detail is second to none; from the food preparation to the experienced and friendly servers. 5 stars overall!
Met up with a friend for happy hour and was happy to see the varied menu options from apps to cocktails. We thoroughly enjoyed our delicious rolls and cocktails. Service was friendly. Atmosphere is relaxing. A must in my sushi rotation and happy hour list!
The restaurant is beautiful and very spacious. Both the drinks and the food were delicious, and the service was excellent as well. We had a great experience!
Man oh man... Blue Sushi Sake Grill did not come to play We tried a little bit of everything from the Brussels sprouts to the charred edamame and every single bite was so flavorful and addictive. You know it's good when you keep saying "okay, one more bite" and suddenly everything's gone. Our waiter was super friendly and helpful, which always makes the experience that much better. The restaurant itself was clean, stylish, and just had a really great vibe overall. And can we talk about the mini aquarium tunnel you walk under to get to the other seating?! Such a fun, unexpected touch that makes the whole place feel a little more special.
I ordered takeout. The food tasted fresh but definitely not enough salmon in these rolls. Some barely had any. Kind of disappointing. Other than that, service was great.
The absolute best Happy Hour Menu every Sunday - I was shocked at how large the HH selection was. Worth the 45min drive and the wait. Everything the 4 of us had was top notch and we are already planning our next visit.
Been here at least four or five times over the years and was always a good experience. Service at the bar varies based on who is working/time of day but it's all within reason. It can feel If you are a sushi snob then this place might feel average otherwise it is quite enjoyable. If you want a larger variety of fish then Hatsuyuki will have what you need. I think many might agree that the parking can be a little competitive but if you don't mind walking a block or so then it's a non-issue. Overall this place is nice and family friendly, we'll keep coming back here! Also, for the past few years they've done a buy a $100 gift card get a $35 gift card free deal around Xmas time. Definitely load up if you plan to come!
Everything from start to finish was absolutely top tier. Sushi was fresh and delicious. Some of the best brussel sprouts you'll eat. Yummy edamame. Great desserts, top notch service. No notes.
Got here maybe 15 minutes before happy hour was ending and there was a long wait so my group opted to sit at the bar instead. The servers were very kind and made sure to put in our orders quickly before happy hour ended. I think the happy hour menu is a great value for sushi. I got the tidal wave and the blue kani. Both tasted great! The wait for food was just incredibly slow, waited almost 45min to eat food that took 15min to finish... The restaurant itself is cute with a cool aquarium on the ceiling. Would recommend the happy hour as long as you don't show up starving.
I've been coming here for years and love this spot. Killer location, great vibe inside with a fish tank on the interior wall that separates bar from main dining. Great staff, with a huge shout out to Dakota who should be promoted to co-president of the company because he's such a slayer on the floor. He treated us to an otoshi experience. What's otoshi you ask?? Basically he brought us whatever he thought was an awesome dining experience. No ordering involved. It was phenomenal!! I personally loved the yellow tail as always and the squid ink marinated tuna... blew my mind off my body. So incredibly good. Enjoy the pics, but go try it in real life and get off of here.... Go! Now!
Second time here for happy hour and once again, it was awesome! Service is always so fast as we never have to wait longer than 10 minutes for everything to come out. Happy hour drinks are also great. Blue has become a to go favorite!
This is my favorite Fort Worth sushi spot for American style sushi. The sushi always comes out super fresh, clean, and beautifully put together. The chefs are artisans in their own right, and you can tell they take pride in what they do. I absolutely love the service here. I've never had even a slightly bad experience. Everyone is always friendly, kind, and very knowledgeable. One of my favorite little traditions is that my wife and I like to have them surprise us with a roll or something fun. They are always happy to play along, and they have given us some great choices over the years. The ambience is another big reason I love this place. The saltwater aquarium is beautiful, and my absolute favorite is the eel when he is not being shy for the day. I always try to get a seat where I can have a direct view of the fish tank. Highly recommend this place. read more

We chose Blue Sushi Sake Grill for a birthday dinner, and it did not disappoint! We had a reservation for four and, upon arrival, were told the wait would be about 15 minutes. We headed to the bar where there were only two seats available, so the ladies sat while the men stood behind us. The bartender was friendly and helped us decide on drinks. I ordered the chocolate martini, and it was absolutely delicious! The guys enjoyed their scotch, and everyone was happy with their drinks. Once seated, we were amazed by the sushi selection. There were so many tempting choices! Our waitress was wonderful--always smiling, attentive, and making us feel like a priority. She offered recommendations based on our seafood preferences, which helped narrow down the difficult decision. Each of us ordered a roll, and these are not small portions. Every roll was fresh and flavorful, but the octopus was especially delicious. As a bonus, they surprised us with a complimentary dessert to celebrate the birthday. The atmosphere is lively, energetic, and fun. If you're looking for a quiet, romantic dinner spot, this probably isn't it--but that doesn't mean you can't have a great date night here. The crowd was diverse, from grandparents with canes to families with young children. We visited on a Friday at 7:00 p.m., and the place was buzzing. I highly recommend Blue Sushi Sake Grill. Don't skip this spot! read more

Happy hour all day on Sunday! Great happy hour selection. Phenomenal service for how busy they are on Sundays. Be ready to wait 30+ mins for a table, but worth the wait. The sushi chefs work super hard to get the orders moving. We sat at the bar since we didn't want to wait for a table and watch the sushi making magic unfold. Those guys work extremely hard. Hats off to the staff for the great ambiance. All featured pictures are from the happy hour menu. If it's your 1st time here, ensure you don't park across from the restaurant or you will get towed after 3pm. It's valet only after 3pm so park in the parking structure or any other space. read more
Blue Sushi is a great sushi spot! We made a reservation online (super easy!) but it was not necessary for when we went. We were seated quickly and our server came over promptly. I chose Blue Sushi because of their wide variety of vegan options and I was not disappointed! I loved the brussel sprouts and the Prince roll. Service was friendly and our server was happy to make suggestions. However, she was really slow to refill drinks. The restaurant has a trendy feel and was really clean. I loved the giant fish tank above the bar. Parking is a little complicated. I recommend parking in the nearby garage. read more

Today our team went to lunch at blue sushi. We've been here before and it's one of our go-to spots. We were a bit of a large group today- 9 total and we were seated pretty quickly. Our server was nice and brought our drinks and appetizers out quickly. However, after we placed our main orders we waited close to 45 minutes before getting our food. I have to think this is a fluke since in the past we've had quick service. It did make some of us anxious since we picked this spot for the quick service before going back to work. I'm sure there was a good reason behind it since that hasn't been our experience in the past. Or it could've been the large size too. Well, we did get our food and it was delicious. Crunchy LA is a great role to get. I just wish I had more time to eat it! We'll definitely be back again! read more

They have vegan sushi!! ^-^ The vibes at this location are really cool because they have a massive fish tank above the bar that you can see from pretty much the whole restaurant! I tried vegan sushi here for the first time and it was really amazing. I can't wait to come back and try another roll! The edamame we had was also delish and the drinks were superb! They have a happy hour as well (i think) so I'll definitely be looking forward to that when i return! The service was also quick and our server was friendly and answered all my questions & helped me choose a vegan roll! Would definitely recommend read more

Beautiful, delicious, and unique. You must try their itchy sea bass!!!! This place was booming at literally 5pm. Very attentive servers and the restaurant itself really cool in its architecture- check out the floating fish tank! read more
Went in for a nice Sunday afternoon late lunch date. Nice and open atmosphere with tons of light. We only had two so we sat at the bar to hangout and watch the football games. The two ladies at the bar were really friendly and attentive. Ordered the shishito peppers and crab Rangoon to start. Both were so tasty. Loved the peppers and all the flavors; they weren't too spicy. The crab Rangoon, always a favorite, didn't disappoint. I can't eat seaweed so we got three different rolls with the soy paper. My favorite was the hotel Cali. The right amount of crunch, and the flavors with the sweet chili at the end, was just phenomenal. We quickly exhaled that one. The cloud nine was also really tasty and a close second. A tad more spicy but not overwhelming. We also got the thriller which had one of my favorite togarashi seasonings on it. It was pretty good as well just wasn't my favorite of the three but would definitely still keep it on our list of things to order. The portions were generous. The food came out fast and fresh. Had a really great experience! The only thing I would caution is that parking is a nightmare. I would plan to park a bit away and walk or be circling for awhile. Will definitely be back! read more
We dined at Blue Sushi Sake Grill last week with some friends. I started off with the Coconut Breezy- rum, coconut, and a hint of hibiscus and ginger. The cocktail was sweet (but not too sweet) and refreshing for a hot day. Our table tried the Tidal Wave, Crunchy LA, and the Tidal Roll. All of which were fresh and delicious. We would defintely come back to try more sushi next time we are in the area. read more
My friend and I came to Blue Sushi Sake Grill for a late lunch. It was my first time in Fort Worth and I was craving some sushi, the "best sushi happy hour" reviews on Yelp lead me here. A sushi Happy Hour that is Monday to Saturday is a rare find! I will say, it is in a perfect location in a very unique building. We walked in and was immediately greeted by the hosts and sat down. It wasn't too busy around 4:30pm on a Saturday. The beautiful fish tank in the air and the unique fish + eel (?) caught my attention at first, then our server who was prompt and very helpful, came and took our order. He even gave great suggestions for my friend who isn't a big raw sushi eater. We started with drinks (Raspberry Mojitos) then ordered some delicious Brussel Sprouts and the Mango Crab Rangoon. Both were amazing and came out quickly! We then ordered our sushi rolls, check out the pictures for which rolls we got. The happy hour price & roll portion is something you truly can't beat. The rolls are fresh and just out right amazing. Blue Sushi Sake Grill is the place to be for happy hour and maybe even just a regular lunch or dinner if you can't make that. I will definitely be back and I've made a fan out of my friend. read more
Our guy Ryan was amazing !!! Parking was open right up front, but they say don't park to the right and give great advice as to where to not get your car towed. The ambiance at this place is super amazing. It's beautiful, clean, lit, and has fishys lol. We had a 6wk old with us and she got all the attention. Ryan was extra sweet to her and so was everyone else. Babe has an allergy and Ryan was extra careful into asking many questions about how bad and how to comfort dinner. It was amazing. We had Chardonnay, another great thing. Great place to celebrate, date night, friend fun, and family fun. read more

Service was good but food itself was okay. Came during happy hour and ordered shishito peppers, the lion king roll, and the itchy salmon nigiri. The shishito peppers were alright, a bit too salty for my taste--but came piping hot and there was a lot of it. The itchy salmon also came out hot. There was a bit too much crab mix in my opinion, but the it was still good. The lion king was probably my favorite. read more

A sushi place with great ambiance. Located at the triangle of W 7th St. Origami style ceiling. Big aquarium on the top of the bar. Lots of open tables, still have queue on weekday. Guessing not enough server/chef to keep up, on a Monday night. Sat on Sushi bar for one. Service was good. Server kept checking the table. Have to be careful NOT to park behind the building, west side. In front of the liquor store, ramen. Free 2 hours parking on 7th or Barden. Not a traditional sushi place. Focus more on rolls and sushi fusion. Did not feel like quality sushi rice. Fishes are fresh. Ordered roja and spicy gringo. Taste was okay. Quite spicy. Alcohol, Cocktails, Sake drinks list are 2 pages long. Tried the Sake flight-partly cloudy. Good deals. Come for the fun and drink. read more
I've tried Blue Sushi Sake a few times now and they have delivered on good food consistently. Twice I have ordered to-go, with each item wrapped carefully and precisely. When I ate in the restaurant, the staff was very friendly and the food was served in a timely manner. This seems like a great date night spot with a great happy hour deal. This will continue to be one of my favorite restaurants in the cultural district! read more

The atmosphere is lively and fun, with a great party vibe. However, if you're coming for quality sushi, this isn't the place. The sushi is amateur at best--think nicely plated supermarket-grade fare. The rice is poorly made, the fish lacks freshness, and the rolls are skimpy and unbalanced. Nigiri rice-to-neta ratio is off, leaning heavily on rice. Stick to the cooked items on the menu and steer clear of the rolls and raw selections Ambiance = 7/10 (fun and lively but loud and dark) Raw Sushi = 2/10 Not Raw Sushi = 6/10 Service = 8/10 (service was pretty good and very attentive) I ordered a spread of items as I always do when trying a new restaurant = nigiris, basic rolls (makis), specialty rolls, appetizers... read more

Is there valet parking? I was not able to find it last time.
Use the valet across the street at Eddie Vs. The valet is open to any restaurant.
Is there covered outdoor seating?
No, there is outdoor seating, in a separate area, but nothing covered.
Does the "crab mix" consist of real or imitation crab meat?
Hi Kelsey! To answer your question, our 'crab mix' contains both of what you mentioned. Ours is actually on the pricey side. Most places use "crab sticks", which are…
When is happy hour?
Monday through Saturdays, 3:00 to 6:30pm and Sundays noon to 9:00pm.
Can you substitute crab for rice?
Hey Noelle! I'd love to answer this for you, but could use a little more detail, could you please give me an example of what you are hoping to do? Is this specific to a roll/nigiri? Feel free to reach out to me directly and I can get in touch with…
