Pier 18 - Combo 2 with mussels, Dungeness crab and shrimp, spicy seasoning

Friendly helpful staff, roomy sea worthy dining I ordered the recommended scrimp combo in mild sauce potatoes sausage it all comes together in a plastic bag. Your provided a 12" metal pan, gloves a bib and lot of napkins that you'll need. You dump everything from your bag into your pan and go to work. The sauce is special, full of flavors spices and some heat it's really outstanding. I had sweet tea for the first time it was addicting. Pier 18 staff was very accommodating we were there 4 hours lots of laughs The girls ordered scrimp, chicken and vegetable bowls that were very generous they couldn't finish. The menu covers everything crab, lobster, oysters, calamari, shrimp, fish, chicken wings &, beef. Pier 18 is a destination check them out.

I know it's busier and Friday night but geez, the table we sat at or the chairs we sat on were dirty like covered in some kind of sauce. It got on my jacket and my girlfriend's clothes, no sincere apology they just switched a chair but didn't look like they cleaned it. Had to wait until the end of dinner for part of our order even if we politely asked 3 different workers if we're going to get the rest of our food. This is after 3 other tables got all of their food before we did and were seated after us. Guess if we ever come back here we need to be early or just lunch time. Also, don't get the hibachi beef, it's mostly stir fried vegetables on top of rice with some tossed salad on half the plate. Doesn't taste that good either, but the fried calamari was delicious and served with fries. The gumbo soup was ok but I think I'll just stick with the seafood boil or fried appetizers. They do open up the back dining area when it's busy.

The sauce just made me want to keep going back for more! Service was friendly and fun! Made great recommendations and checked in often! Ambiance was quiet on a Monday night late but I can imagine that the weekends they are packed! Lots of seating and a quaint little spot! Great music but still allowed for conversation. The only challenge was parking! It's a super small parking lot (like maybe 6 spots) so be ready to park on the street and walk.

The sauce is almost drinkable, but also don't... it's so much garlic you may end up pissing your stomach off. Shrimp seems to always be overcooked so I never get those anymore. They're mushy, so real overcooked. Service is hit it miss. Sometimes I've gotten a server who may not understand the best English and is sorta short with us. I can understand that, but also it's not enjoyable. The place is usually a mess... But I say that because it's usually super busy as well so I'm not complaining about that because they clean up. It's just a constant flow of people. They also increase their prices quite a bit and the price of snow crab has went down. So unless the prices go back down to a reasonable amount, I probably won't go back, but I'd still advise for you to try it out.

A Relaxing Lakeside Experience with Great Food & Service…read moreThis was our second visit to this quaint seat-yourself restaurant. With indoor seating, a cozy patio, and tables on the lawn, we chose the latter for a peaceful view of Lake Worth lake. The setup creates the perfect backdrop, complemented by a refreshing breeze. Both times we've been, there was live music--this time, karaoke--which made for a fun atmosphere. Service started off slow, but thanks to Trisha, our waitress, the experience was completely turned around. She was attentive, friendly, and truly saved the day by quickly taking care of us, after we had waited quite a while. Her warmth and efficiency made the visit extra special. As for the food, we went with our usual--the three-piece catfish basket, which comes with French fries, hush puppies, and coleslaw. Everything was fresh and delicious. The margaritas were just as enjoyable! After dinner, we took a short walk down to the edge of the bluff overlooking the lake and relaxed on a nearby bench, soaking in the peaceful surroundings. It was the perfect way to end a wonderful evening. Highly recommend this spot for its views, laid-back vibe, and good food!Would definitely return.

She made some excellent suggestions and got our orders perfect - I would go back just to have her wait on us. We got starters of oysters texasfellar and tuna tartare, followed by the salmon (shared), Idaho rainbow trout and crab cakes, with sides of lobster Mac and cheese, broccolini, mashed potatoes. More than enough food for 4 hungry people. They split the salmon perfectly into 2 plates. The crab cakes were fantastic, and the trout was perfect. They have bottled beer, so we got a few before the meal. Everything was so well timed. Definately stop by when in Fort Worth. They were able to get us in for a 6pm seating on a busy Saturday night.

The ambiance was excellent, every single employee was friendly and welcoming. Our server, Jacob, was awesome. He listened, asked questions, made recommendations, explained things and checked on us just enough. Service was prompt and efficient. We ordered the oysters sampler (2 of each kind on the menu), hush puppies and calamari to start. The oysters were fantastic! The calamari and hush puppies were delicious. For our main meal we had the ribeye and the branzino. Everything was cooked and seasoned perfectly. I told my husband that this was one of the best meals I've had since moving to Texas (and we've enjoyed some really good meals in our 4 years here). We spent about $320 with tip. Definitely recommend and would go back.

However, I find the food to be quite a let down, not worth the price. I had the sourdough and it was good. I had the steak and fries for the main course with the upgrade cuts of steak. The fries were well seasoned however not all was good evenly and some over cooked and some undercooked. The steak was okay, the sears were bad and so was the overall flavor. Overall, I think it's a great place for a business meet up and if you are standing at the property but nothing too special. Note: this was lunch menu and I heard the burger here is good so many you can try that but I wouldn't recommend the steak at all.

Our group attended for a company dinner and we enjoyed our array of delicious dishes as well as cocktails. Eddie V's is a fine dining experience with business casual dress code required. The interior is polished and elegant with a private room bookable for groups. Now to the food! Appetizers were incredible and I wouldn't mind them being the main course either, especially the calamari. Crispy, fried to perfection with stir fried veggies filled with so much flavor. For the main course, I had the Chilean sea bass. The quality of the seafood here does not disappoint. While Hong Kong styled, it does stray from the original dish stylistically. The traditional element of thinly sliced scallions doused with hot oil as a finishing touch to extract the essence wasn't there but replaced with a bed of micro greens. A little less flavor than expected but delicious nonetheless. Dessert was decadent with the dark chocolate notes mingling well with the fresh berries and ice cream. What stood out even more was the PROFESSIONAL staff. Hands down they were some of the best I've ever encountered in any restaurant experience. They were so attentive to all of us, got all of our orders down without any hiccups, and expertly maneuvered in and out during the company presentation which is definitely a challenge no doubt! Well done Eddie V's!
