I don't recall what I tried at Ninja Ramen the first time I was here a few years ago, but clearly I didn't have a memorable experience since I haven't been back. That was 3 years ago though, and as of recent I came back to this place after a friend suggested we could give it another shot. I must say, while expectations are low, I was far more impressed than I thought. This place is a bit bigger than neighboring ramen spots, and our server was so interactive, funny and friendly. I like that she actually holds a conversation between me and my friend, in terms of sake recommendations, and being honest on what type of noodles she prefers (I asked her if their straight noodles are good or if I should go for the curly, and she gave me her honest opinion on both, so I went for curly.) She was able to also assist my friend in choosing a better appetizer. I love the bigger variety of drink options, from alcohol to boba milk teas. The curly noodles in the Tonkotsu Ramen was awesome, and the meat's so soft and delicious. My only qualm is that the broth to noodles ratio is a little off; too much broth and it's more watery than other broths I've tasted. My friend loved her ramen and my favorite item was the gyoza. Vegetarian gyoza is hard to come by and I was thankful they made it. I've come here at least 3 times with my son. Each time was great but as parent and other parents reading this we never leave our children unattended in the bathroom. So I take my son to the bathroom so nothing bad happens! Why is it that our table is cleared out assuming that we Dine and dashed and not going to pay? I decided to still pay for our food while but my son was actually wanting the Miso kids ramen. You still throw away his food even though I finished my food. I started off with the fried shrimp and the aged tofu. Both were delicious, especially with the coleslaw and then sesame dressing. Then I had the udon with pork that was very tasty spicy everything I wanted. And it washed down nicely with Sujo. Now I wish they had more flavors of sushi. The only one they had at the time with grape, which was too sweet and queen, but when you added it with a mixer, it wasn't too bad. The food was amazing, the service was OK, but it was late so... It's connected to the Royal Tea place next door, so that was convenient for ordering delicious drinks during our meal! I didn't try the ramen, but everything I tried was pretty good. Service was kinda slow, but they were really busy and possibly understaffed so I understood. All the staff members we interacted with were also very nice and helpful. GESO KARAAGE: This was delicious! It was well-seasoned, well-fried (tempura style), and large-sized pieces. I'd definitely get this again and recommend it if you like squid. FURIKAKE FRIES: In other pictures, it looked like there wasn't enough sauce or seasoning, so we asked for it with extra sauce and seasoning. They ended up putting A LOT of extra sauce and seasoning. Like, kinda too much. It'd probably be better to order the extra sauce and seasoning on the side so you can control the amount. Aside from that issue, the fries were good. It's also a pretty large serving, so one order would be enough to share with a group. CHICKEN KARAAGE: This was good and basic. Good flavor, not dry, but not super moist either. Nothing mind-blowing, but it'll hit the spot if you're in the mood for something like it. NIKU UDON: This was delicious and a huge portion! It was everything I was hoping it'd be and more! They didn't skimp on any ingredients! Tons of noodles, meat, bokchoy and narutomaki! The noodles and meat were cooked perfectly. The thinly sliced beef is very fatty, so if you're not into that like my bf, that might be a problem, but I personally loved it! I have no complaints at all. CURRY UDON: Another huge serving with generous amounts of noodles and beef! It also uses the same fatty beef as the niku udon. My bf got this and I thought it was pretty good. It wasn't spicy at all and just had the curry flavor. It's in like a soupy sauce? I expected it to be thicker like curry, but it wasn't. I got this delivered and it didn't take long at all. The spicy tonkosu was not seasoned at all, even though I had the spicy sauce. It required at-home seasoning. The gyoza was not prepared the same as it is shown in a lot of the photos of those who ordered in store. I love octupus and noticed that they had takoyaki that contained octupus served with a special sauce that was amazing and katsuobushi (dried bonito flakes). The takoyaki pastries were so creamy and delicious. I could have dreams about the beautiful appetizer. We also ordered the egg rolls that were slender, crispy and piping hot. We ordered seaweed salad that was $6 and we were stunned at the portion size as it was way more seaweed than any serving I have ever ordered before. A really good value. I noticed it had a more enhanced sesame oil flavor than other seaweed salads I have had before; which was nice. We ended up stirring the rest of it into our shared poke bowl. The poke bowl was a good portion size as well and was very delicious. I would really like to try Ninja Ramen again and explore the menu a little bit more and try some different items.
