Spicy Salmon/ Philly Roll / Sunrise Roll / Edamame & Green Tea

Hidden gem! Must try if you love Sushi! Worth just stopping by for Green tea. Food was super fresh, tasty & had beautiful presentation. Fantastic service, very friendly. Felt like I was eating at home, great atmosphere. Saw lots of to go orders too. Seems popular.

Their sushi is nice and fresh. Clear soup tastes as good as a hibachi place. I love the vibe of this place. Very comfy with some Japanese pop and jazz playing. And the price is right. Lunch specials are easy on the wallet.

Small quiet independent restaurant. Good quality food at a reasonable price. Quick service. Will be back.

We came here after receiving a take out menu at our home - paper delivery still works!! We ordered a few different sushi rolls as well as chicken katsu. The katsu was great, wasn't fussed about the special sauce. We had a classic roll as well as specialty roll both were great. We also had the volcano roll which we didn't realise was served hot, if we'd known we probably wouldn't have ordered it, the description doesn't clearly state it apart from the word 'baked', would have been nice if our server informed us. It was odd to have a hot sushi roll, it was soupy and didn't compliment our other rolls. It's BYOB, which we weren't aware but there is a liquor store right next door. It's a small location with only about eight tables or so. Enjoyable experience, just avoid the volcano roll.

Chicken Teriyaki Bento Box! Very tasty and liked that you could pick the type of sushi and appetizer.

Straight up average to below avg. for the food but for sure overpriced for the quality. I ended up having to throw away more of the food than I wanted just because it wasn't too good. Was craving me some Japanese curry and got the curry katsu with pork. It was nice how it came with 2 pieces of meat but wished had a bit more curry to go with it. Was decent not best or worst I've had just really average. The fried octopus I'll give the benefit of the doubt that since it took me 20 min to get home the fried breading was really really hard. Only had a couple pieces and rest in the trash since it was to hard to eat. Poor quality for the sushi. Got the rainbow roll and I would tell you to go somewhere else. It was overly fishy and didn't taste that good at all. Ended up eating 2 pieces and throwing away the rest : /

Decided to give this place a try, and I'm glad we did. The place was small and had cute decor. (I wanted to take the light up ball home, but I didn't) We ordered the fried calamari (which was ok. Too much batter), Shaggy Dog Roll (cute presentation and actually pretty good!), and the Alaska Roll (spicy, but delicious!) I would recommend this place to anyone that is looking for another sushi place to try other then the ones in Arlington.

This small sushi place is tucked into a shopping strip and hidden behind a gas station. I imagine it gets overlooked all the time. That's a shame. The atmosphere is cozy, calm, and dimly lit with very comfy elevator music playing softly in the background. The service was good, the lunch special was really reasonable, the sushi was very good, and the soup was salty and not great. I probably will order a different soup next time I come here, but I will definitely return.

An Izakaya only spot in my favorite part of town? Hell yeah!…read more Ichiro Izakaya Yakitori is a new entrant into the burgeoning South Main/Magnolia food renaissance. For the uninitiated, Izakaya a type of Japanese bar/restaurant that specializes in small dishes, usually grilled over hot coals. Here in Fort Worth, we have several great Ramen spots that also feature quite a bit of Izakaya type dishes, but Ichiro is unique in that is all they serve. Another bonus is that it is currently in the space of one of my previous favorite spots on South Main, Black Cat Pizza (RIP). Walking in, it is exactly what you would expect from an Izakaya place, a narrow, bustling, and fun atmosphere with the delicious sound of sizzling meats being cooked over hot coals emanating in the background. So what did we order? Well damn near everything. We started with some dumplings , then ordered some Hatsu, Yellowtail collar, pan-seared scallops, Negima (Duck breast), Beef Tongue, and split a few dishes of fried rice. I may have forgotten a few. I meant to take more pictures but we ended up devouring some of the dishes too quickly. Everything was great. The yellowtail collar is popular there and is a must order. My other two favorites were, surprisingly, the Negima and Beef tongue. Great thing about Izakaya is that you get to try so much, you get to expand your horizons a bit without having to take in too much so order to your heart's content and don't be shy. We are definitely going to be back to explore more of this delicious menu and this awesome atmosphere.

The owner came over and talked with us and is so nice. Service was fantastic. Checking in regularly to see if we were ready for another order but not constant or overbearing. We also liked how they brought dishes close together and nothing was ever missed (which we've had happen at other AYCE places where you order). Sashimi was AYCE and everything was really fresh. We also liked that the rolls come in smaller orders so we could sample the wide variety of rolls. We tried a lot of their cold appetizers and they were all great. Save room for dessert. Crème brûlée, fried mantou, and ice cream were delish. Overall, really great experience. We'll be back!

However, we did have to ask for drink refills a couple of times. Ambiance: 4/5 The inside of the restaurant kind of reminds me of Japan House, but much nicer. However, the restroom was dirty, which was disappointing. Food: 2/5 I appreciate that they served the sashimi on top of a bed of ice because not many places do that anymore. I just wish they had placed it on top of a shiso leaf so the sashimi wouldn't get wet. The fish did not taste as fresh as I had hoped. Unfortunately, none of the appetizers left an impression. Overall, everything I ate was very underwhelming. I don't think I will be coming back.

The interior of the restaurant is very anime-esque. You order at the counter once you're ready. I got the Tori-Mayu. My friend (thanks Andy!) got us apps - takoyaki and karage. Both were excellent! I made the classic mistake, as usual, of eating the takoyaki while it was still pretty hot. Despite the burns to the inside of my mouth, it was definitely worth it. The karage was was absolutely delicious as well. Perfect amount of crunch with moist chicken on the inside. Pairs very well with the spicy mayo that is served on the side. For my main, I got the Tori-mayi - the chicken ramen broth with garlic oil. The broth was rich and flavorful. The chashu was meaty and savory. All of the extra toppings were of great quality. Though, what was undoubtedly the star of the show were the noodles. The texture was nice and springy - they served as the perfect medium for the broth and everything else. Service was great as well. They have a nice cute robot to help deliver everything which I thought fit within the theme. Would certainly come again!

At this spot, both broths were good. We each got a version of black garlic chili oil ramen. The veggie toppings were the same, but mine also came with thin slices of very well marinated tofu. I enjoyed my bowl. The hubby liked the pork broth in his bowl, but the pork belly on top was tough. We also got appetizers. The Japanese pancake was crispy, but greasy. The fries were good and not at all greasy and dusted with a touch of spicy Asian inspired seasoning. They were OK. The ramen portions are large, so that was nice. Service is very good here. The human kind and the cute little "robot" that delivered our food. It's a small space, but has tables and booths. The tables in the booths are oddly not wide enough to reach your food, so we sat at a table. There is plenty of parking. If you want to try some flavorful plant based ramen, this is the spot. I gave 4 stars due to the yummy plant ramen and excellent service.
