This is the best sushi restaurant in Arlington. So good. I highly recommend the Arlington, In and Out, and Arlington rolls.

I found the best sushi in Arlington! This spot has the best customer service, my waiter was so nice and attentive! I love their booths it makes the experience more intimate. Great restaurant with the ambiance and very good sushi and presentation. Korean music is always fun and a nice touch even though it is a Japanese bistro. I enjoyed every bit of the night except the Chicken Teriyaki was extremely salty. But the sushi was beautifully plated and fresh. I thought the prices were very fair and average for what you would expect to pay at a sushi restaurant. You get what type of sushi roll you'd like and I chose the shrimp tempura, and it exceeded beyond my expectations. I have dental braces , so there are some items that I do Try to avoid while in public lol, rice being one. However that Sushi roll is as fantastic. I proudly walked out of the restaurant with my braces full of rice and other foods . But it was so worth it . Also purchased a small house salad with the ginger dressing, and I'm in love . Delicious! The calamari was so good! I could tell that it was fresh calamari and they breaded and fried it themselves, it was very fresh and tasty. The sushi I received was also very fresh, not fishy at all which is exactly what I want when getting sushi anywhere. I also had the spicy tuna roll and the level of spice and flavor was excellent, not overwhelmingly spicy but just enough to make you eat it more slowly. Everything was good at first until I noticed my fried shrimp tempura roll was not cooked all the way through. I am pregnant and cannot eat raw sushi so made sure that I ordered a cooked roll. After eat two pieces of the roll I noticed the shrimp was fried on the outside but still completely clear and uncooked on the inside. After bringing it up to them and them clearly seeing the shrimp is uncooked they did not accommodate just told me I was wrong and still made me pay for the roll even though I could not eat it. Update: I literally just threw up my meal further confirming the food was not properly cooked. Being pregnant I get nausea but never actually vomit. I had to call my husband to yell at them before they agreed to refund my money. read more

Visited Sushi Cafe for the 1st time last weekend & loved it!! I chose the spicy chicken(teriyaki) bento because I wanted a variety & my husband chose 2 of their sushi rolls. We also ordered egg rolls as an appetizer. We liked the egg rolls, but were a little surprised to find that theirs are covered in sauces, a Mayo sauce & I'm not sure what the dark brown sauce was. I think I would have preferred the sauces on the side and will ask next time. The sauces were good, just don't prefer them completely covered in sauces. Now my bento!! The pictures does NOT show just how much food comes with it. I found the spicy chicken dish delicious with heat that sneaks up on you, and it isn't sweet like most teriyaki dishes and I liked that! The California rolls, miso soup, salad, gyoza & shrimp tempura that comes along with the bento was very yummy as well. My Husband ordered the Atlantis roll & one another one that name is escaping me right now. Would definitely go back. The sushi was very filling, there was NO SKIMPING with the ingredients. The menu is quite extensive, ranging from your typical rolls, specialty rolls, bento boxes. I ordered 2 rolls, the cafe special roll and the hot mama roll. They were pretty solid. The prices were decent for a sushi place but I hear coming for happy hour on a weekday or come during lunch time for the specials, is where it's at! I ordered gyoza and didn't like something in it so after 2/6, I sent the rest back and was still charged so that added to the bad taste they left in my mouth. I got the cafe fire and red chili rolls (forgot to take pictures) and didn't like either, but I just noticed they were shrimp tempura and while I don't hate shrimp tempura, the fact that I didn't like the rolls doesn't surprise me. Even though this visit wasn't a hit, I'd go back because there are other things I'm interested in. I just have to be willing to risk the (whole) price. read more

This is a small, home-owned sushi spot. Went here with three other coworkers for happy hour and dinner. A large sake for $2?! Heck yes!! The sushi is buy one get one during happy hour and I got a variety of their special rolls. Every one was fresh and flavorful. The rice was still warm and everything came out beautifully plated. Rolls came out as they were ready, so there was a little uneven eating cadence, but our waitress frequently checked in and made sure we all had what we needed and that our drinks were full. The first thing you notice is the intimate atmosphere. Perfect date night spot. We ordered the dynamite as our appetizer and encourage others to do the same, so good!! We also ordered the Texas Ranger, Arlington, and Crazy Boy roll. They were all pretty similar, but equally delicious. It did have us on the toilet after, but it was worth it. One of the absolute worst experiences dining ever. I never get angry when eating because I love eating. I waited 10 minutes before I even got a cup of water and the restaurant wasn't even busy. They were short-staffed so I gave them the benefit of doubt, but it's still no excuse for food to come out 35 minutes later. The food was underwhelming and most definitely was not worth the wait. Will never come back and will deter others from even going here. No one deserves to have the same experience that I've experienced today. I'm so frustrated and disappointed that I even had to come on here and give them a review. Server took our water up while we were still dining. I said what?! Then they should've let me know awhile back when I placed the order. How do you run out of masago when that's like almost a staple on a lot of sushi topping.
