Pokesaur was inside the Asia time square, so it was pretty packed in there. We ordered from the kiosk. Our order was called out when it was done. We got the new BBQ pork and raw salmon onigiri. The onigiris were really good. I would definitely come and get some more. The seaweed was kind of soggy tho. Overall, pretty nice spot. read more

Reading the other reviews & I'm thinking they listened regarding size? They seemed like generous sized onigiri to me. We came here to get some onigiri to go. We got a tuna mayo, salmon mayo, fried oyster (not pictured because we ate it... lol), & a spam musubi. My favorite is the salmon mayo, but I do feel like everything we ordered had good taste & was great quality. Docked a star for staff... they weren't rude but they were just there. Didn't really greet us, I placed the ordered & we waited longer than I thought... just surprised because there wasn't an order between us and one or two families afterward. My pager alert went off (it was nice they had those) & the girl just gave me my food & we left. I feel like they could've been more... outgoing towards customers? I'm keeping this review short and sweet because I only had one item (and a coke) here while cooling off inside before returning to the Mid-Autumn Festival at Asia Times Square. Pokesaur is one of the many fabulous food spots in one of the square's food courts. Their menu is small and simple: poke bowls and onigiri. The onigiri are generously sized and totally stuffed with whatever filling you choose, like spicy salmon, chicken karaage, tuna mayo, california, seaweed salad, and more. They also have have 3 "deluxe" onigiri: soft shell crab, fried oyster, and crispy shrimp. Yum. It all smells so good. We ordered the spicy salmon (raw) onigiri. The outside of the rice ball is thoroughly seasoned with sesame seeds, crispy onion, and furikake, so lots of salty, nutty, umami-ness going on. Then there's plenty of salmon inside. Since we only stopped in for a quick snack and moment to cool off, that's all we had, but I feel confident saying Pokesaur has fresh seafood and delicious sticky rice. Order at the counter and you'll be given a little buzzer that goes off when your order is ready to pick up. They're fast! I look forward to trying more on their menu. read more

I'm actually really really surprised how much I liked the poke here! Especially the rice balls! I'm not sure how they do it, but I'm obsessed with the salmon mayo rice balls. The rice seasoning just adds an extra flavor. It does not just taste like plain rice and fish! One star off bc I love love love the poke nachos with everything that comes inside it, but I hate that I can't get the chips on the side. Sometimes I don't want to eat right then and there, I want to drive home to eat it (I live 30mins away) which mines the chips will be soggy ans gross by the time I get home. I'm really not sure why I can't have the option of just having the chip set aside ?? I've asked more than once and they won't do it. And never really give me a reason why they won't. And price point is a little high for the portion you get. read more

The raw salmon came with mayo and was a nice contrast to the shrimp. It was pretty good, i wouldn't go out of my way to go there like my other poke spots, but i was in the neighborhood that day and its better than mcspitty burger. Super saucy if you like that flavor i prefer fresh and crisp ingredient flavor. Maybe i'd have gotten that if i asked for light sauce. Maybe its cuz i look American, pero no te confundes tengo sangre picante. I was skeptical of swaying away from my usual poke place because new poke places never satisfy me with the quality of the fish, prices, and topping choices... but Pokesaur did not disappoint! They had such a variety of protein options (some I had never had before- such as Mayo salmon and Mayo tuna). They also had a bunch of toppings and did not charge extra for crab salad and seaweed salad like most competitors. This is always such a plus! We did the "build your own" bowl with 2 proteins. The tuna and salmon were great quality and they gave a fair portion. They don't make the poke in front of you like in most poke places. You order on a tablet and then they bring it out to you. We also tried the Onigiri, which I had never tried before! We got the salmon Mayo. This was delicious, however a bit dry with just salmon and rice, so we asked for some eel sauce to make it saucier! The staff was kind and helpful (even though we came right before closing)! This was inside the food court of Asia Times Square, next to a ton of other food options. SO AMAZINGLY DELICIOUS!!!! I had several of the onigiri so far and I am obsessed. They are quite filling and eating 2 of them is more than enough to keep me full for hours. So far I had the Spicy Salmon, Salmon Mayo and the Soft Shell Crab. Each were full of flavor and had a generous amount of filling. My favorite was the Spicy Salmon and I believe I had 3 of them! I am actually from Los Angeles, CA and I cannot find a similar establishment like Pokesaur. And for the price, its worth it. Most places that offers Onigiri usually leaves their rice plain with little of the furikake on top. But at Pokesaur, there is furikake throughout the rice. So even if you ate all the filling and is only left with rice, it is still delicious. So give them a try because I highly recommend them! read more

I had a poke bowl and 4 onigiri. They were good. Onigiri looks small but the filling is plenty so it filled me up after second piece. For the price, Poke is pretty expensive, it costs around 14 dollars included tax and onigiri is around 4-5 dollars each. I would recommend a spacial onigiri option which are shrimp and soft shell crab. Do I come back? May be. Do I make a trip just to get that? May be because it is only one onigiri shop in town.
