Have you ever been to Burger Box? I drive by this restaurant all the time. It looks so desolate. I thought this would be great place to meet for a Bible study. It was convenient for my accountability partne, it was cool inside, the decor was pleasant and the service and prices were good too. One thing I dislike is the traffic. It was a challenge entering and exiting. A nice Hispanic lady was waiting in the kitchen, ready to make my order. The Cashier was eager to take my order too. So, I'm assuming business is slow. There was a table of Hispanic men at a table. The drive thru seemed busy and there was one casually dressed lady inside. Burger Box used to be a Dairy Queen. It has the same tables. I thought they would be uncomfy but they weren't. Burger Box has pics of 1950's cars hanging on their wall. They also have pics of Audrey Hepburn and Marilyn Monroe. B.B.has a few healthy options. Grilled Chicken, Veggie Burgers and a Lettuce Burger. I opted for the Lettuce Burger. It was supposed to include an oversized piece of Lettuce but, they just had Shredded Lettuce. My Lettuce Burger was hearty with a lot of Black Pepper. It came with diced Onions, and Pickles. I would recommend Burger Box. Their prices are good and so are their portions, Just watch out for the traffic. read more

Not enough value here for a very average burger, and the drive thru menu is lacking most prices. Weird. On Feb. 18 2025 I ordered a single, no cheese with lettuce tomato pickles...got 1 tomato slice the size of a silver dollar .. just not enough, cost $5.73. Today March 3, got a double meat Jr Whataburger with LPT and grilled onions and it had 2 full size tomato slices, it was more burger, it was better and it cost less.. $5.24. Burger box customer service was really good! I had a double turkey burger (don't recommend) cause the patties are huge! I wish I had known beforehand. The ladies there are so nice and you can tell they really want the customers to be happy. Food was made fresh! I also got the footlong chili dog and a regular chili dog. They were pretty good but I must admit the chili wasn't my favorite, however I will go back and try other options as well. So, yeah. A little history about your old buddy Paul (me). I grew up in a tiny crap town that had... just nothing. One or two restaurants, a couple of fast food places and a Pizza Hut. Less than 5k people. Not a lot going on there. But one thing we did have that I have missed since I left (seriously, I bolted the minute I was out of High School) was the local Dairy Queen. As you may or may not know, Dairy Queen restaurants are all franchised, so you can get wildly different quality from one to the next. If you can even find one nowadays. And if you do find one, you've got about a 60/40 chance that it'll suck if you're ordering anything other than a Blizzard. Which brings us to Burger Box. Why bring up Dairy Queen you ask? Because Burger Box reminds me of those old great Dairy Queen restaurants from when I was younger. Heck, this one is even in an old former Dairy Queen location, but that's neither here nor there. They've got all the things you would expect. Steak Fingers with cream gravy. Steak sandwich. Chicken Strip basket. Ice Cream scoops or floats or all kinds of frozen confections. All made fast while you wait and very very tasty. The current DQ places still serve Steak Fingers, but they taste like about 40% beef and 60% soy and filler. These at the Burger Box taste like real actual beef, battered and fried and very tasty. Give this place a try, especially if you're in the mood for a Steak Finger Basket. But get the 6 piece meal, they are a bit on the smaller side so you'll want as many as you can eat! read more

Driven by this place a few times I always thought about giving it a try because it looks like an old classic drive up burger stand kind of like the old Dairy Queens. So the other day after a round of golf I decided to finally stop in and check it out, pretty typical menu few different burgers, chicken strips, two cheese fries Etc. I ordered the bacon cheeseburger with fries and it was pretty mediocre reminding me I'm a Whataburger style burger as it has shredded lettuce, diced onion, and mustard. Overall it's not terrible but with the fact that Fuego burger and the dive Burger Bar all right there also I'd rather go to one of them, if you're looking for a quick cheaper option you could give this place a shot but if you don't I wouldn't say you'd be missing much. read more

As much as it pains me to drop this burger joint from 5 to 3 stars they leave me no choice. It's about the fries - of late they aren't completely done. I mean cold on the inside not done. I have lived in the area for over 20 years. I always pass this place and always wanted to go in. But tonight was the night. It's unfortunate that the crew was skeleton (2). The blonde lady worked the front and the cook was in the back. First the good: the chili dog. Got chili dogs? Yes. The burger was better than bad. Jalapeños. Noice. Stopped for lunch and got two chili dogs, tater tots and a large coke. All pretty good but I'll need to be more specific next time I get the same. The jumbo dogs are pre split and grilled on the flat top. If you don't like them charred, let them know when you order. They also toast the buns. I prefer mine untoasted. They put the mustard on top of the chili. I prefer it on the bun. If you like lots of onions, be sure to tell them. Burger Box reminds me of the Dairy Queens of my youth. We love this little burger joint!! Excellent burgers and fries, our daughter likes the hot dogs. And it's all reasonably priced! We go out of our way to order from here instead of Sonic, Whataburger, etc. The staff is always nice and they wear masks every time I've gone. It looks like an old Dairy Queen building, perhaps - it's certainly nothing fancy or out of the ordinary, but the burgers were (very) hot and delicious. So many times the very cold vegetables cool the burgers off to where they aren't piping hot, but that's not the case here. Crinkle-cut fries were obviously pre-cut and frozen, but they were cooked fresh to order and very hot and crispy. We've passed by Burger Box countless times while shopping and going to doctor appointments, and I'm not sure why we've never been. But - we will be back, that's for certain. read more

Burger was delicious. Oreo milk shake was the bomb.com. The fries weren't as good as advertised. They need more seasoning. Now did I mention how good the burgers are? Came in here because was too far away from big corporate burger places and didn't want to turn around or go to the second or first busiest street (hulen) I went in to find a nice lady who was alone and was counting the ice cream and we ordered and was very suprised in wich the burgers were not as amazing but average but passable! As we came in the drive-tru got busy and we were shocked because when we drove up it was empty and then all the sudden it was busy! Still 3 stars. I noticed it showed as being under new management, which I believe is more like "mom and dad gave or sold me the restaurant". I was excited to see they had expanded their menu and was eager to try their grilled chicken sandwich. Unfortunately it was a complete disappointment. The bun was twice as large as the chicken and paper thin. Several bites were of bread only. Then when I finally got a mouthful with chicken, the chicken was so thin I couldn't really even taste it. Very disappointed. My friend got their bacon cheeseburger and he liked it, the flavors are usually right there, however I did notice that the burgers are also very thin now as well. I personally want some substance to my burger, but they are still good. We split a Philly cheesesteak as well, testing the new menu items and it was just ok, but then again, it is hard to get it made right outside of Philly, so can't complain much there. The fries are still the nice crisp crinkle fries and I enjoyed them very much. I ordered a side of the Jalapeño Poppers and they were excellent with the ranch dipping sauce they came with. I believe the cheese was cream cheese and a nice size jalapeño inside, perfectly fried with a nice crisp outside, worth the cost. The sides Here , I have enjoyed. Desperately hungry and saw the Burger Box sitting on the side of the road where nothing else could fill my immediate need. In the midst of a burger quest, why not? Although a little dilapidated, that's sometimes where the best comes from, and my thought is always that its obviously still in business, so it can't be bad. Essentially a drive-up kind of Sonic meets Dairy Queen, the food was made upon my arrival, so it was certainly fresh. The fries were alright, and the burger was much the same. My burger was good. But I got one burger, the thunder burger. On the menu is said this burger was $3.89. I got no fries and only a water to drink. They didn't give me a receipt so I checked my online bank statement and I was charged $6. When I called to ask why I was charged $6 for one burger, all they could tell me was that they upped their prices and had not updated the menu. But again they never told me my total or gave me a receipt. I think it's pretty clear employees here are up charging the food to keep money as a tip. STAY AWAY FROM THIS LOCATION. Its an oldschool burger barn from the days when there was a Dairy Queen everywhere, and im pretty sure its an EX DQ building anyway. Its gets PACKED during some parts of the day, so its pretty popular. As someone whos had every drive through burger in the metroplex, i can definitely say these are up to par xD. A little on the dry side, but that just means less grease in your tummy. The chicken is pretty good too, but this place is so oldschool that they dont even give you a filet. They give you two strips on a bun, which is begging to be put on top of a burger. They even got those crinkle cut fries! If you actually understand the concept of cheap, fast food, then Burger Box is alright. They have a massive menu and are practically in the neighborhood. Definitely different from every other place. I can't really even review the food here, because I didn't actually get it. I went today because I had never been before but I'd heard great things about this place. I pulled up and there was a line at the drive-thru, which I took to be a great sign. I placed my order and pulled up to the window and the guy was very friendly at first. They handed me my drink and my food and I handed him my debit card and this is where the problems began. I waited for at least 5 minutes and then the guy came back to the window and asked if I had cash because my card had a chip and I guess it wouldn't process it. I said no and handed back my food because I know there's money in the account, I just thought that it was their machine.
