    Drive thru menu 12/15/23

First time here! The service was very friendly and pretty quick! I got the #1 it came with a big drink and fries, my brother in law got the steak sandwich combo and his drink was smaller? Kinda threw us off so I had him ask why the drinks were different sizes? The employee said that the larger drink automatically comes with the #1 combo! So that was interesting for sure! We did not know what to expect from them as it' was our first visit ever! The double cheeseburger was so tasty and really hit home with the added jalapeño's, I had eaten over 2/3 of the burger before I realized it? Normally eat half and have the leftovers for dinner later! Well I still had the leftovers later just not as much as I would have liked! The fries were warm but soggy and had the right amount of salt to them I personally would like the fries a bit more crispy but they were not no ice cold at least! So took off a star for the fries but they did heat up nine in the air fryer later on with my left over burger! My only complaint is that I want another burger like for real! But the universe has something else planned for that as I went out to start my car and it just wouldn't turn over? So Griff's will have to wait as it's a bit of a drive from weatherford to this location but I most certainly will be doing that once my car is working again! It was that good! Maybe griff's should come to weatherford or even Hudson's oaks I know you all would have a thriving location here in weatherford as we mostly have chicken places and some burger places but griff's tastes so much better! I should know as I worked in a burger place for over 34 years and I definitely know when it's a good burger!

We had to work at the cattle barn which is within walking distance of this location. I had never had Griff's before so this was a good opportunity to try it out. I tried calling ahead or ordering online so that it would be ready when I got there because I was working but they could not get through either one so I decided to walk over and order. I ordered and got my order within five minutes and was on my way back to work. I was definitely happy with this fast food style restaurant as it hit the spot ..

So I grew up in Dallas in Pleasant Grove. So I'm used to the OG Griff's on Buckner and the Mesquite location off Military Parkway. Been going there since 1994. This was my first time at this location. Definitely not the Griff's I'm used to. I'm new to Ft. Worth so was super excited to have something from my childhood nearby. I drove the 15 mins from my house to check it out. I ordered and didn't wait long in the drive thru. Told them Mayo on the burger. I got mustard. Fries were soggy. Undercooked and limp. Unappealing. Maybe it was a bad day. Hopefully it gets better. I'll give them another try in the future but todays visit wasn't the best at all.

Hot n' fresh to my table.

The have a Fireman's Uniform on display, the tables are Dalmatian print to symbolize the dog at a Fire Station station, red buckets are by the cashier to help you remember they use buckets to put the fires out too, they also have rectangled windows that you would find on a Bunk Room. I was greeted right away by a Hispanic Female. She had a thick accent but was really nice. She told me to take my time since it was my first time here. The crew was all Hispanic. They had the place kept clean. I ordered a small Turkey Sandwich but, she gave me a Medium Sized Sandwich? I ordered a gluten free bread but was charged a 1.00 more . I didn't see that it would cost more and she didn't explain that either. The bread was flavorless but, full filling. I didn't feel stuffed afterwards. My friends bread fell apart and got messy. Not sure what happened? The Turkey was sliced super thin with a thin serving of Turkey. There was a surplus of Shredded Lettuce, the Mayo was sweet, I prefer sliced Pickles vs a small Dill Spear. My Potato Soup was warm delicious, loaded with Chunks of Potatoes. The Oyster Crackers were some of the best I've had. I got two packs for a small bowl of soup. The have a Coca Cola Free Style Machine. I was able to try a few drinks. Coke Zero was ok. I tried a Vanilla Coke Zero. It was delicious. It tasted just like a Vanilla Coke. I also tried a new Flavor Called Tropical Coke Zero. It tasted sweet with a subtle taste of Cherry and Pineapple. Restrooms are clean. Prices are high. It was like $35.00 for two people? It was pretty busy with steady customers coming in. I would definitely recommend this place. I think the Kiddos would love this place.

The General Manager was friendly and knowledgeable. The other staff were polite and helpful. It was a warm welcome to the establishment. I had multiple requests and they were all taken care of. Ambiance was good no complaints. Dining room was clean and comfortable. I like that they offer booths and tables for seating. The decor is simple with chicken art. The vibe is laid back and gives a little bit of country down to earth feel. Mimosas were definitely full of champagne! Chicken sandwich was moist and juicy. I like the slaw and pickles that come on it. I chose medium heat, but next time I want it a bit more spicy. I wanted sweet heat sauce on it. I think there was a slight misunderstanding with that. The sauce that comes on it doesn't have a kick. Quick fix they brought me a side of it. Once I poured that SWEET HEAT SAICE on my chicken sandwich it was magical. My mouth was happy and excited. This sauce definitely makes a difference. You will be singing to the chicken GODS lol. It made the chicken taste so good. The fries were hot, a bit salty for my liking. They give you a generous portion of fries though. The sweet potato fries seem to be the popular choice. Everyone had them on their table. I will have to try those. Overall a very good visit! I left satisfied and FULL! It's a popular place on weekend and they get a good crowd. You can order margaritas, beer or mimosas so that's a bonus. Thanks Cookshack for the hospitality.
