Alright I just gotta say - I don't know who is not rating this place as a 5-star but whoever it is...totally incorrect. I placed an order for delivery this morning. I got an omelette with a side of home fries and biscuits and gravy. The portion sizes are exceptional for the price. On the delivery app when they asked how many biscuits I wanted, I requested three. I was not expecting them to actually give me three biscuits with a sh*t ton of gravy, but they actually did. For the omelette toppings - same deal. Just a ton of toppings on this omelette, for no extra charge. I don't know what I've been doing with my life but somehow I have missed this place altogether up until now. Huge mishap. This is 100% my new go-to for breakfast. Cannot recommend enough. read more

The food is always a hit. It's a small cafe that is "small town friendly" vibes. We have a saying in our house when we both want to go eat there, "wanna go moe's?" The waitresses are always friendly or teasing with the regulars. They're always very busy for breakfast. I've had breakfast, lunch, and dinner here and it's always been good. read more

This charming small Cafe in River Oaks is pretty great. The menu is vast and almost labyrinthine, with options ranging from simple comfort foods like Chicken Fried Steak to Mexican dishes to burgers and on and on. Moe's Cafe is a diamond in the rough. No matter what you get on the menu - the flavors are spectacular. You can tell that the kitchen knows what they're doing in making every homemade offering a delectable home style experience. For a return to what eating out used to be in the hayday of the 1960's, I strongly recommend Moe's café. It has become my regular go to restaurant for a relaxing experience. This place is always pretty busy for breakfast. The food is good and the parking lot not big enough. When you ask for eggs over medium and bacon crisp your eggs come non snotty and the bacon isn't oinking. They know how to cook here. My husband and I have come here several times on the weekend for breakfast and they don't disappoint. Servers are always friendly. read more

First time to dine here and it was lunchtime but they serve breakfast all day so I couldn't resist going for a breakfast dish. I had the southern one, three eggs, over medium, bacon, link sausage, biscuit and regular gravy on the side. Eggs were cooked perfectly, bacon was crispy, just how I like it, hash browns soft and crisp, pillowy biscuit and tasty gravy. The sausage was overcooked, but they gave me four pieces of crispy bacon so I didn't complain. Service was good and I took what I couldn't eat home for my cats. Meow. LOL! read more

I've been coming to Moe's Cafe for breakfast for 5 years now and I'm really surprised to see the low rating. Every time I go to Moe's I'm greeted by super friendly staff and waited on quickly, the place is old and small but it has that homey feel to it definitely not fancy place or anything. They always have good specials written up on the Whiteboard great prices, I usually get the country breakfast which is three eggs any style, sausage links and bacon, biscuit with sausage gravy, and home fries which are one of my favorite things cause they're always awesome! I get all this and orange juice for around ten bucks and that's definitely not bad at all. So in the case of this place I would say judge for yourself because I definitely don't think it deserves the two and a half star rating it's getting on here right now, it's definitely worth a shot read more

I give this a one star only because the restrooms need to be updated for the longest time the woman's restroom had no lock you had to knock on it before you went in or else you would expose the person sitting on the toilet to all of the lobby because the restroom is right by one of the doors to walk into the restaurant I had no lid on the back of the toilet and the handicap bar on the wall seems like when you hold onto it the whole wall is going to fall off I have reported them to the health department and they made minor changes just enough to get by but the restrooms are horrible they smell terrible if you sit on the side in the restaurant where their bathrooms are next to you will be smelling crap and piss all the time you're eating. read more

I'm a DoorDash driver and went to go pick up a order that I received from this location. when I got there I was rudely greeted by an older lady with short hair aa she proceeded to tell me in a rudely tone that they don't do DoorDash. I was confused because DoorDash sent me to this location to pick up an order. instead of kindly telling me there was a mistake and they don't do DoorDash, she yelled at me and said she doesn't understand why I'm here and I need to leave because they don't do DoorDash. I was just confused because I've never had this happen before but she was treating me like it was my fault and completely humiliated me in front of everyone because of It. Four stars? Yes check in and see why! This business owner is working hard to improve their rating on yelp. I was shocked to see a $10.00 discount just for checking in! Is this a 5 star joint? No. However it is very affordable and the place is clean, attentive staff and good food. You get what you pay for and where else in the area can you get a $4.00 breakfast?!! I know! Cute little hole in the wall! Food was good, great portions, and definitely comforting. My boyfriend and I just ate here, we both had salads (HUGE garden salad, and very tasty with homemade croutons); I had a sandwich with heaps of fries, and he had steak and mashed potatoes with a huge basket of complimentary bread. This is not for me. Not at all. Went here for breakfast and I could just tolerate it enough to eat what I ordered. My eggs and sausage were okay but the "fruit" side was in edible. Canned fruit gone bad - gross. I ordered water - tasted funny. English muffin - fine but they don't even give you butter or jelly to spread on it. I asked for that and the server pointed to two little jam boxes on the table - really? You couldn't just bring me more? Servers were friendly enough but they all reeked of cigarette smoke -yuck! Your typical $6-a-plate diner on an older side of town. The curly fries, were curly, the plates were clean, and the watiresses were (old, but) nice. All of the (borderline geriatric) patrons who go there all know Moe (a Jordanian, he told me), and he knows the better half of them. Not very remarkable, but if you're looking for a decent place to eat a reasonably priced meal on the River Oaks side of town, that isn't a chain, Moe's will do as good as any place else. Was starving and pulled over for a quick bite that led us to Moe's. The service was good but the food was so-so. The fruit seems to be the canned syrup type (fresh fruit is a must) and the corned beef hash was the same canned experience. Very disappointed in this place. My mother and I ate there today (2-19-17) and arrived at 1130am. The restaurant was 80% full and the only wait was for the waitress to get off her cell phone. She seemed put out that we were waiting and took us to our table all the while talking on her phone. No hello, no give me a moment, no follow me, just got menus and motioned for us to follow her. Once seated, another came to take drink orders and brought them back and left. I called out to her, but she was checking her phone and didn't here me, we needed straws. Finally, yet a third waitress took our order, very nice and attentive. The food arrived promptly (we ordered breakfast) for lunch. The syrup dispenser was broken ( it would not open to pour) and I finally had to get up and ask for a replacement. The pancakes were small but good, the sausage way over cooked and dry and eggs were cold. When paying, I once again met a waitress( the first one) again on the phone. She looked at me and I told her that I was not waiting any longer and she immediately completed the transaction. We had been visiting Moe's Café for about a year. After my experience tonight; I will never return! I ordered Eggs "SOFT" scramble, sausage links and French toast. The eggs were so dry, the sausage was beyond burnt and french toast was 1 piece of bread cut in half that was not fully cooked!! Server can by and said your not hungry?
