Our party of 6 received personal attention from the chef helping with wine and cocktail orders and descriptions of the mains and sides. We went on a Sunday after Church so when we arrived, the restaurant wasn't busy at all. I was pleasantly surprised at the aesthetics walking in. The front windows of the restaurant had fairy purple lights hanging from the wall. The full bar is quite impressive as it maybe 12' long? But Just my guess. Don't quote me on it. Upon opening the restaurant early in the day you are offered their brunch menu. They have a lunch menu you just need to ask for it. The brunch and lunch menus didn't offer any type of appetizers, but I wish they would have the food service took quite a minute to have our meals brought to our table. I ordered the salmon Benedict's and my husband ordered a cheeseburger. We were quite perplexed on their sides. They don't offer french fries with a hamburger or even a bag of chips. Their sides are potatoes au gratin, asparagus, Mac & cheese,if they have it, and mushrooms. We were also quite surprised at the exact location of this restaurant. It's tucked away on a small street of a camp Bowie in a strip shopping center. We found the food to be very good, but it'd be nice to have appetizers on every menu and it would be nice if you could have french fries to go with a cheeseburger. I have been wanting to try this place so I stopped in for lunch. It's an interesting menu that doesn't seem very cohesive. The only thing I can figure is they decided what they like to make and threw it all on a menu then let someone else decide on the decor of the restaurant. I got the brisket sandwich which was offered with two kinds of sauce one was a bourbon cream, and the other was some kind of wine reduction. The chopped brisket was tender and flavorful, but I really missed a good barbecue sauce. The other sauces were too thin for a brisket sandwich. A friend ordered the medium-well cheeseburger, but it came very well done and kind of dry. We both got the jalapeño mac & cheese with lots of jalapeños sprinkled over the top, but there was zero jalapeño flavor in the mac & cheese. That's kind of an issue with jalapeños these days, but they could've possibly left in some of the seeds or membranes to pull a little more flavor out of them. If you're going to serve a jalapeño mac & cheese, it really needs to have a jalapeño taste. We were recommended Fort Redemption by our food friends and I can see why. The place is in a shopping center. You wouldn't know a wonderful place like this existed if it wasn't for word of mouth. We came on a Friday night and there were 2 other parties there sitting at the tables. There were a few at the bar and one couple that came in when we left. Walking in felt like going into a loft. The space was open, but it also felt homey and the seats were VERY comfortable. So comfortable that my husband, before we left the restaurant, said "sit on my seat". The seat hugged my butt very well. We were greeted by Chloe. I LOVE HER! She is an amazing server and so friendly. She gave us great wine recommendations. I love a girl who's knowledgeable about her wine! She even gave us a card at the end of service with a recommendation for another wine. She is truly fantastic. We ordered a charcuterie board, the lamb chops (recommended by our friend), sirloin, banana pudding and flan. They were all so tasty. The rub on the sirloin and the lamb were delicious and the meat was cooked to perfection! The portions and price point were really outstanding. I ended up taking my 2 of my lamb chops home. I asked Chloe the best way to reheat it. I did what she said the following day for dinner and it was still juicy. Did I tell you that I absolutely love Chloe??? I wanted to write this review to rave about this place to drum up some business for it. I want to see this place succeed. Highly highly recommend this spot for a nice date night or just a night out with friends. You will not be disappointed. Why have I not been here before? I may never get salmon or steak anywhere else in town. Everyone was so nice as soon as we walked in the door. The decor was of course Christmas but you could see parts of their regular decor & it was beautiful. They are farm to table so there can be days like today when they run out of some stuff. First off, the place is beautiful, but the seating is very limited. We were asked immediately if we had a reservation. We did not, but there was room at the spacious bar, so we sat there perfectly satisfied. We had searched on Yelp for a good hamburger and Fort Redemption came up high on the list so we of course ordered their cheeseburgers and a couple of margaritas. The margaritas came to us quickly and were just okay, maybe on the sweet side and served in martini glasses. We waited over 30 minutes for our burgers, which were really nothing special especially for $18.! We did see some beautiful cuts of meat going to other tables, so maybe this just really isn't a place for burgers, but a great place for steaks? The short of it is, don't come here for margaritas or burgers. Yelp is a bit misleading on that. We prefer Tommy's for burgers. Rating 2 stars. Not a good value. Very slow service. Mediocre food and drinks. Many better choices to be had- * side note (doesn't affect this rating). There was a fire with 2 fire trucks and a dozen or so firemen at the pizza place in this strip mall setting and we couldn't leave the parking lot. read more

Can't say enough about the price point compared to food quality here. The staff is fun and attentive, the owner is humble while incredibly talented, and I've never had a bad experience. This isn't my 1st review of FR but it is my 1st dinner review. I've now had all of the sides, salmon, filet, ribeye, and the occasional off-menu special scallops (if you have the chance, they are a MUST!). The liquor is limited but calculated to pair great with the array of dinner selections. This is a true hidden gem you won't regret having in your back pocket for any occasion. They do reservations, walk ins, and catering for some occasions. The atmosphere is welcoming and casual for everyday, yet nice enough for a last minute meeting where you need to impress. Fantastic! While in town, we checked out this gem, and we are so glad that we did. The price is great, for the quality and quantity that is served here. The food is top-notch. The ribeye with bourbon cream sauce was tender and flavorful. The salmon was cooked perfectly. The au gratin potatoes are to die for. Great shishito peppers; wonderful banana pudding (made with perfect bananas, not overly ripe ones)! The service was impeccable. Jeremy was attentive and had great recommendations. Fort Redemption is a simple menu that focuses on doing the basics well. This place is new only opening 4 months ago. We decided to try it for lunch and we were not disappointed. Our waitress was very polite and knew the menu well. I tried the Breakfast Burger and the regular burger. Both burgers were seasoned perfectly and both were incredibly juicy. The potatoes au gratin were creamy and very tasty. For dessert I tried the Banana Pudding which was the biggest surprise of the afternoon. This was layered very well and so far the best version of a banana pudding I've found in Fort Worth. They do have some things to iron out as far as a more user friendly reservation system because right now it's only by phone. But hey they are new and will figure it out. read more

We were excited to try Fort Redemption during our visit to Fort Worth! If you're looking for a good steak, this is your place! Ours was cooked perfectly rare! The sides were fresh and you can tell that thought and passion go into everything that comes out of the kitchen here! Our waitress was fantastic and informative! My favorite part though, is how involved the owner and chef is. He came out to make sure we enjoyed our meal, walked around and chatted with everyone and makes everyone feel like they're family. Thanks, Yelp, for yet another hidden gem - and this one only open for a short three months. Based on our visit, Fort Redemption is doing a lot of things right. They offer a small menu but don't let that discourage you. Every last thing we ate was spectacular: cooked to order, seasoned well, full of flavor and left us wanting more. I rarely say "every last thing" was great. We were impressed. Drinks: I asked for a margarita even though it wasn't in their menu. She made it like she absolutely made it everyday. It wasn't too limey and really well balanced. My guy ordered an Old Fashioned - spot on. Food: He opted for the rib eye and I chose the beef tenderloin. We shared brussels and saved room for their banana pudding (thanks, Yelp - you were right!). Sitting at the bar gave us a better vantage point into the kitchen. It's always cool to see all the attention and love given to a great meal, right before it's delivered to you. Chef Troy came out a little while later and chatted with us. The server Chloe was very good. We greeted Tony when we arrived, as we have been frequent customers. We were specific in how we wanted our Ribeye and Salmon cooked, but both were under cooked. When we asked for it to be corrected, we received different service and felt dismissed. We declined the salmon, yet were charged for the side. After having outstanding ribeyes, we had to come back to try the other options. This time we had the rack of lamb (which I'm told was delicious) and a cheeseburger. Since the place that makes the best burger ever (11/10) shut down, I've been trying to find a new best... and this is definitely the new best. I had mine with bacon and caramelized onions and no lettuce or tomato, letting the thick, juicy beef do the talking. It was outstanding: good beef, expertly seasoned and cooked. The bun did its job, although I'd rather have had a brioche bun as they tend to stay intact a little longer. That's a quibble, though; I'd have this burger anytime. Chef Troy and hostess/server Alanna made our lunch special with their great service and enthusiasm. I have loved the lamb chops at Fort Redemption and have gone to the restaurant quite a few times. The last two times the service was terribly slow, so bad it was embarrassing. It ruined the evening. I had taken guests and had to apologize for my choice of restaurants. Unless their understaffing is remedied, I'm not interested in going back-- and it's a shame. Not a big menu, but enough. My only constructive criticism was on dessert. The take on "pumpkin pie" was a miss and the size of an oreo. But we did not come for dessert, and we left full. I first learned about Fort Redemption in 'Fort Worth The City's Magazine' December 2025 issue in the "14 Delicious Spots That Debuted in 2025" story. We decided to celebrate my daughter's fiance's birthday by having dinner at Fort Redemption since the story gave it such a glowing review. The restaurant is located in a strip mall and when we drove up, my husband commented that it looked like a bar, but once inside and seated, we were transported to a warm and inviting atmosphere. The server was amazing, but what really impressed us was the mixologist who went out of his way to create a drink that wasn't on the menu for my daughter. She gave him a description of what she wanted the drink to taste like - I just looked at her aghast. With a description of "not sweet, creamy, but tastes like coffee and maybe chocolate . . ", he responded with such confidence that he could make her what she wanted. Do you know that when he came back with the concoction and she tried it, she exclaimed that it was the best drink she's ever had - it was perfect! The food was phenomenal. It's a small but elegant menu. I am extremely picky about steak and I've had to 'settle' for mediocre steak, even from well-known steakhouses, but Fort Redemption's 8 oz. Beef Tenderloin was outstanding! I prefer my steaks blue so that I can really taste the flavor, and it was excellent. I also tried the Rack of Lamb, cooked rare, and it was the best lamb I've ever had. Based on our experience, I would have to say that the story's glowing review was understated. Ten of Ten.
