We met here for Sunday brunch to try a local restaurant that was new to all 3 of us. There were some disappointments all around. I'll start with the pros. It's locally owned which is fantastic. Parking is easy and the decor is nice. I ended up settling on waffles and bacon for my order and they serve it with melted butter which I love! Sadly I didn't select Fort Redemption for their waffles. At one time, but sadly for me it's no longer, Fort Redemption had brisket jalapeño mac and cheese with bourbon cream sauce. I sat down prepared to order that fantastic, delicious sounding dish. It has been removed from the menu. I ended up ordering waffles. Strawberries are an option so I ordered my waffle with strawberries and whipped cream. Guess what? The server informed us, no whipped cream. So I went with maple syrup. We all ordered sweet tea. Guess what? They don't sell sweet tea. We're accustomed to that pretty much coming standard in Texas. There was an order placed for an Arnold Palmer. But they do not have lemonade. Two of us just ended up drinking water. The breakfast tacos are good. Steak was prepared at the temperature requested. My new mission is finding or just creating my own recipe for brisket jalapeño mac and cheese with bourbon cream sauce.

My gosh! I have already reviewed this restaurant, but revisited as it was SO good! Today I tried their lamb chops and cannot in words say how beautiful they were! They were cooked and seasoned to perfection and you'll need to try the potatoes au gratin. The service was personalized and the ambiance is lovely. You will be comfortable being dressed up or casual. They have figured it out, y'all!

I have been wanting to try this place so I stopped in for lunch. It's an interesting menu that doesn't seem very cohesive. The only thing I can figure is they decided what they like to make and threw it all on a menu then let someone else decide on the decor of the restaurant. I got the brisket sandwich which was offered with two kinds of sauce one was a bourbon cream, and the other was some kind of wine reduction. The chopped brisket was tender and flavorful, but I really missed a good barbecue sauce. The other sauces were too thin for a brisket sandwich. A friend ordered the medium-well cheeseburger, but it came very well done and kind of dry. We both got the jalapeño mac & cheese with lots of jalapeños sprinkled over the top, but there was zero jalapeño flavor in the mac & cheese. That's kind of an issue with jalapeños these days, but they could've possibly left in some of the seeds or membranes to pull a little more flavor out of them. If you're going to serve a jalapeño mac & cheese, it really needs to have a jalapeño taste. The restaurant was practically empty and our server was a little bit intrusive, but very sweet and helpful.

We were recommended Fort Redemption by our food friends and I can see why. The place is in a shopping center. You wouldn't know a wonderful place like this existed if it wasn't for word of mouth. We came on a Friday night and there were 2 other parties there sitting at the tables. There were a few at the bar and one couple that came in when we left. Walking in felt like going into a loft. The space was open, but it also felt homey and the seats were VERY comfortable. So comfortable that my husband, before we left the restaurant, said "sit on my seat". The seat hugged my butt very well. We were greeted by Chloe. I LOVE HER! She is an amazing server and so friendly. She gave us great wine recommendations. I love a girl who's knowledgeable about her wine! She even gave us a card at the end of service with a recommendation for another wine. She is truly fantastic. We ordered a charcuterie board, the lamb chops (recommended by our friend), sirloin, banana pudding and flan. They were all so tasty. The rub on the sirloin and the lamb were delicious and the meat was cooked to perfection! The portions and price point were really outstanding. I ended up taking my 2 of my lamb chops home. I asked Chloe the best way to reheat it. I did what she said the following day for dinner and it was still juicy. Did I tell you that I absolutely love Chloe??? I wanted to write this review to rave about this place to drum up some business for it. I want to see this place succeed. Highly highly recommend this spot for a nice date night or just a night out with friends. You will not be disappointed. Oh and on Wednesdays for lunch, the burger is only $10 and I heard it was the best burger in Fort Worth, according to my foodie friends.

Why have I not been here before? I may never get salmon or steak anywhere else in town. Everyone was so nice as soon as we walked in the door. The decor was of course Christmas but you could see parts of their regular decor & it was beautiful. They are farm to table so there can be days like today when they run out of some stuff. We made it work, just sub out a few things. We will be back & I totally recommend you check this place out.

Fort Redemption is a simple menu that focuses on doing the basics well. This place is new only opening 4 months ago. We decided to try it for lunch and we were not disappointed. Our waitress was very polite and knew the menu well. I tried the Breakfast Burger and the regular burger. Both burgers were seasoned perfectly and both were incredibly juicy. The potatoes au gratin were creamy and very tasty. For dessert I tried the Banana Pudding which was the biggest surprise of the afternoon. This was layered very well and so far the best version of a banana pudding I've found in Fort Worth. They do have some things to iron out as far as a more user friendly reservation system because right now it's only by phone. But hey they are new and will figure it out.

We were excited to try Fort Redemption during our visit to Fort Worth! If you're looking for a good steak, this is your place! Ours was cooked perfectly rare! The sides were fresh and you can tell that thought and passion go into everything that comes out of the kitchen here! Our waitress was fantastic and informative! My favorite part though, is how involved the owner and chef is. He came out to make sure we enjoyed our meal, walked around and chatted with everyone and makes everyone feel like they're family. This is the kind of local place that if we lived close, we'd be at once a week. Not just for the incredible food, but because everyone there is fun to be around. We will be back next time we are in town!

Thanks, Yelp, for yet another hidden gem - and this one only open for a short three months. Based on our visit, Fort Redemption is doing a lot of things right. They offer a small menu but don't let that discourage you. Every last thing we ate was spectacular: cooked to order, seasoned well, full of flavor and left us wanting more. I rarely say "every last thing" was great. We were impressed. Drinks: I asked for a margarita even though it wasn't in their menu. She made it like she absolutely made it everyday. It wasn't too limey and really well balanced. My guy ordered an Old Fashioned - spot on. Food: He opted for the rib eye and I chose the beef tenderloin. We shared brussels and saved room for their banana pudding (thanks, Yelp - you were right!). Sitting at the bar gave us a better vantage point into the kitchen. It's always cool to see all the attention and love given to a great meal, right before it's delivered to you. Chef Troy came out a little while later and chatted with us. This has been a labor of love. Sending our best wishes for continued success. If your meal is anything like ours was, Fort Redemption will be around for years to come!

Had the best burger of my life at Fort Redemption. 10 out of 10 burger! The potatoes au gratin was also amazing!

The little extras they provide are a welcome addition and are truly incredible in their own right, from the glass of champagne, to the little round crispy appetizer ball thingy (I'm not even sure what it is but it's wonderful) with the accompanying aioli, to the delicate and airy popovers; what a beginning to each meal! I started with the Caesar salad, which was fresh, crisp and the dressing was subtle but authentic. I then varied from tradition and ordered the sea bass for my entree. Oh my what a treat! Perfectly cooked and paired well with the basmati rice and curry sauce. Lastly, the chocolate tart was so rich and delicious; a perfect ending to a great meal. Our waitress was very attentive yet personable and two different gentlemen came by to ensure our meal and experience was perfect. Let me just give a special shoutout to the service in particular. I have not had such a good set of servers (from front of house to bartenders to waitresses) in a very long time. They were excellent. The food was also very good. However, to be honest, the steak was under-seasoned and a little on the tough side. I bought a 12-once ribeye and we split the 32-ounce tomahawk steak. Visually, stunning. But the ribeye was certainly on the tougher side and both steaks needed salt. Overall, really good experience - but I was expecting better flavor from the star dishes. Nonetheless, still would recommend.

While it was a lovely experience in a stunning environment, it fell a bit short of the high bar you'd expect for a $95/pp tea service. The Good: First and foremost, the environment is absolutely beautiful. The Bowie House, Bricks & Horses restaurant, and the Mulberry Room itself are gorgeously decorated with a sophisticated Texas Western theme. The atmosphere in the Mulberry library is intimate and visually striking. Additionally, the service was excellent from start to finish, being both attentive and professional. The food portions are quite generous, with both the savories and sweets served together on a single tower. The sweets were the highlight of the food, as they were very delicious and surprisingly large. We also really enjoyed the tea selections themselves, particularly the Earl Grey and the plum rooibos. The Letdowns: Unfortunately, a few details missed the mark, especially considering the premium price point: - The "Champagne": The experience is advertised as including a glass of Champagne, but we were actually served Prosecco. At nearly $100 a person, substituting Prosecco for real Champagne or Cremant is a major disappointment. - The Tea Service: Instead of receiving a teapot to enjoy throughout the afternoon, the tea is steeped directly in the cup. This limits you to a single cup per tea variety, though to be fair, I didn't ask if refills were an option. - Food Refinement: While the portions were large and the savories were tasty, they lacked the elegance of a traditional tea. Every savory option was open-faced and heavily blanketed in microgreens and edible flowers, which felt a bit unrefined. - Comfort & Conversation: The Mulberry library features low couches, deep chairs, and coffee tables. While this setup would be absolutely perfect for relaxing with a glass of whiskey, it makes leaning over to eat finger foods highly uncomfortable. Furthermore, the seating layout isn't ideal for holding a natural conversation with the people in your party. Overall: It is a nice experience in a breathtaking Fort Worth hotel, but I'm not sure I would return. If the price point were lower, the execution would make more sense. However, given the other highly refined afternoon tea options available across DFW for less money, this one doesn't quite live up to its price tag.
