We were greeted at the hostess stand and immediately felt appreciated and welcomed; also the decor in the dining area is beautiful. Our server was Koch (not sure of the spelling) and he was perfectly attentive. My bestie and I had a 3-hour brunch and he never made us feel rushed or a bother to him. As our appetizer, we ordered the shrimp cocktail. It was fresh, crisp, and delicious. My friend ordered the short rib breakfast entree (delicious), and I ordered the Margot Eggs Benedict with a side of hashbrowns. Unfortunately, my hollandaise was busted and the dish was cold. BUT NOT TO WORRY....management immediately came over, apologized and got me a fresh, hot, delicious replacement plate. That was such a minor blip it the road and did not "rain" on our great time. After our entrees, we were "oh so bad" and ordered the Nutella Crepes, as dessert, to share....and they were worth being bad for. THEY WERE DELICIOUS!! I am looking forward to my next visit to Le Margot. (And it doesn't hurt that my youngest granddaughter shares the same name...minus the "Le") read more

**Unreasonable treatment of guests presenting valid out-of-state identification.** My friend and I chose Le Margot for our girls night dinner and were excited to visit for the first time, but our valid Arizona and Oklahoma licenses created quite the investigation. After holding our IDs for about 10-15 minutes, the manager explained that one photo appeared pixelated (it did not) and that they were being extra cautious because they had encountered fake out-of-state IDs recently. He confirmed that the hologram and REAL ID star were both present but still wasn't comfortable serving us. No one scanned the IDs, checked other security features, asked verification questions, or requested another form of identification. We both work in the restaurant service industry, so we understand being cautious and double checking. However, proper training and actual verification tools could have solved this mystery pretty quickly. I'm not sure how anyone from outside Texas is expected to order a drink here. We made a game-time decision and went to another restaurant that was happy to accept both our business and our apparently very convincing "fake" IDs. 0/10. Would not recommend. Especially to anyone with a valid out of state license. read more

The experience started with the friendly young gentleman at the host stand, who greeted us with such a warm smile and made us feel genuinely welcome the moment we walked in. Our server, Jordan, was outstanding--professional, attentive, knowledgeable, and perfectly paced throughout the evening. He anticipated our needs without ever being intrusive and made the entire dining experience feel effortless. In fact, every member of the staff we encountered was courteous, friendly, and seemed to truly enjoy providing excellent service. It's rare to experience such consistently outstanding hospitality. The atmosphere is elegant yet inviting. The vibe is wonderful--lively, relaxed, and filled with people truly enjoying the evening. The service is impeccable, and the attention to detail is evident in every aspect of the restaurant. We drop into Le Margot at least once or twice a month just for happy hour. We usually grab a spot near the oyster bar so our son can join us and enjoy the happy hour menu. The fries, oysters, burger, and flatbread are all regular favorites, and we often add the calamari as well. On our most recent visit, Ricardo was our server, and he was fantastic. We always enjoy being in his section because he's attentive without being overbearing, friendly without hovering, and consistently makes sure everything is taken care of. His service strikes the perfect balance and adds to an already great experience. The food, atmosphere, and service keep us coming back month after month. After years of wanting to try one of Chef Graham's restaurants, finally made it to Le Margot -- and unfortunately left disappointed. The restaurant is nice with (an obvious)) French chic vibe, but the overall execution of the everything just missed the mark. The French onion soup was extremely salty, as was everything else. The grilled filet mignon with roasted asparagus and peppercorn sauce was a complete miss. The asparagus was not prepared well at all - closer to the bottom was inedible. The filet was a nice cut but had next to no char and simply wasn't cooked well. A bit dumbfounded here. read more

This place has been on my bucket list and it did NOT disappoint! The waiter (very kind, young man whose name I cannot remember) was very knowledgeable about French cuisine. And having been to France it is legit. The restaurant is cozy, well decorated and nicely spaced so that I could have a conversation without people all in our business. Everything we ordered was delicious, including the pasta & caviar, risotto du jour w/ scallops, herb crusted salmon and braised short rib. I did feel like the food was quite pricey for the amount we got. I would not recommend the hot fudge profiterole because it was difficult to eat. As a fan of Graham Elliot, we were very excited to try Le Margot. We had a good meal overall, but there were some things we wish were a bit different. Ambience was great, but the seating is a bit congested. We were seated by the main entrance and unfortunately throughout the course of the night I felt folks brush up behind me as they were walking in/out of the restaurant. It was nice to see them busy, but it did take away from the meal a bit. Potato Leek Bisque was delicious - one of the better items from the night. For the main course I had gotten the Risotto De Jour with Lobster; a bjt disappointed with this one. Risotto was bland and lukewarm and there was hardly and lobster.. hopefully just an off night. My group and I had tried this spot for the first time for HH which bled into dinner because our experience had been so positive. This was probably one of the most solid happy hours in recent memory with exceptional bites, drinks, and ambiance. The shining star of our several hours there was our bartender, Noah! He made us several cocktails of his choosing that were perfection and he also demonstrated an exceptional understanding of the menu. Le Margot was next on our list, and while I definitely enjoyed my tartare, I'm eager to return for another visit. We came as a double date with family, and honestly, we were so caught up in great conversation that the meal wasn't the sole focus -- which might explain why I don't remember everyone's orders in detail. My husband had the roasted chicken and really loved it. He's a bit of a bread-and-butter enthusiast, though, and felt the bread didn't quite meet his expectations for a French spot. He also ordered an espresso martini, which he thought was good, but not great. My cousin mentioned she was still a bit hungry as we were paying the bill-- LOL, so if you're coming in with a big appetite, maybe temper your expectations or consider trying happy hour or lunch options instead. We were greeted by our server who was polite. We decided on cocktails and studied the menu. As I watch food being served to other tables my mind would change and change again. His menu recommendation ( Dover Sole, with a brown butter sauce & fried capers, was spot on & he expertly deboned it table-side, which made my classical French table service soul so very happy! I was a little wary of this spot given its unorthodox location in a former fast-casual restaurant right off Hulen, but my concerns instantly melted away the minute I entered. This spot is absolutely gorgeous, a perfect mix of modern glam meets French classic, with great artwork and old films projected at the end of the bar. We stopped in for happy hour and enjoyed their absolutely insane drink specials. My very generous vodka martini and my companion's French 75 were outstanding and $7 each - essentially unheard of. We coupled that with their delicious and thoughtful charcuterie plate, the standout being the pate, studded with pistachios.
