I've been coming for a but a month now. Sunday when I came in the young man working the register suggested I get the family shrimp instead of three sides. I was grateful as I would have been doing that the previous few weeks had it been suggested. I got 35 shrimp Sunday. 7 come in a regular side protein. So basically it's buy 4, get one free. Today I came in around 4. I ordered the family shrimp and only got 28. Had I bought 4 regular sides I would have gotten 28 shrimp and it would have been cheaper. Needless to say, not happy as I really like the food here. Also I have spent hundreds here before someone told me about the rewards program. I use gift cards so I've lost out on the opportunity to collect or keep mine tracked. It wasn't till today when I inquired I was told to save receipts and scan them in. I've tried almost every side and the best ones are most definitely the broccoli and the corn. Only complaint is that the amount of steak given is iffy. It was packaged carefully and waiting for me on the mobile order shelf. Flower Child is semi-self service, so I filled up my drink and grabbed a table outside under a heat lamp. The food was a little pricey, but with quality ingredients, I'm happy to pay the upcharge. I ordered the entree with chicken, roasted broccoli, and gluten-free mac and cheese. Everything was well-seasoned and flavorful. The chicken was moist, the broccoli was roasted to perfection and topped with the perfect squeeze of lemon, and you'd never know that the pasta was gluten free! I also got a rose petal lemonade. I lived off of rose lemonade when I lived in the UK, so I was excited to try this. I didn't pick up any of the rose flavor, but it was good basic lemonade without any sweetness, so you can adjust to your liking. I ended my meal with the lemon olive oil cake. It was moist and fluffy, but had no lemon flavor which was disappointing. It was not very sweet at all, but was still a good ending to the meal. The servers were all very nice and the restaurant is beautiful and well-lit. It was very crowded when I went. Parking can be tricky too, depending on when you go. I'll be back at Flower Child soon! This was our second time in two days to visit Flower Child! We are out of town and staying at the Fairfield across the street. Our large group decided to go to Rex's for dinner, however they are not safe for celiac needs so the manager from Rex's sent me over to have a safe meal for my celiac needs (so great when local restaurants work together)! I did call about an hour before our reservations and was able to bring it with me to eat with our group. It was so good I brought the family back for lunch the next day. The first night I had the chicken kabobs over arugula. The second time we did the chicken enchiladas, Mac n cheese and shrimp protein with kale salad and Brussel sprouts. The restaurant is very clean and bright so you can see the menu very well! While we were in line we were giving a number and a table to sit at so we knew exactly where to go after we ordered. So I wasn't expecting it to be an order and then sit down type of place but that's totally fine. I've been twice once with my parents and once with a friend and I got the braised beef bowl each time. It is amazing. I'm allergic to dairy so I have them leave the sauce off but the habanero hot sauce they have is delightful on it. The only thing I can complain about is the patio chairs are those awful metal ones that no one likes but other than that everything is perfect. I'm so terrible at remembering to take pictures but I promise it was so good. The miso crunch bowl is also really good I tried some of it. Love that they have chopsticks as an option as well even though I carry some in my purse. Everyone is so nice and helpful and with my allergy they were very quick to check for any possible cross contamination etc. I'm actually employed at a sister company so I get a discount but even if I didn't I still love them. read more

Unless they are using daddy's money... Second, I applaud their seating strategy, but they need staff that are assertive, or at least not retreating into their shell. They seat you based on the size of the party, so another tip - if you have a smaller party, you will get to skip the line! But, the server that was attempting to communicate this to us was trying hard not to offend the people around us that we got to skip the line (since only a 2 top was available). Dude, just do your job! It would seem this review is based most on the menu/food. If I took into account the atmosphere, given all the aforementioned reasons, the score would be at least 3 starts. Food: I ordered the Glow Bowl with Salmon. Refreshing to have a tasty gluten free, dairy free meal. LOVED the sweet potato noodles!
