They were busy' but had a number of open tables. There are mostly square and rectangular 4-top tables. We chose one by the front windows. A moment after we sat down, our server, Joe K came by to greet us and he took our drink order. Menu's are at the table, so we studied a bit and were ready for Joe when he brought our drinks. I ordered: - Unsweetened Iced Tea - 3 Piece Dark Chicken Plate (my choice: leg, leg, thigh) with Greens and BBQ Beans My wife ordered: 2 Piece White Chicken Plate (breast, wing) with Mac-Cheese and BBQ Beans The chicken was the star for sure. The BBQ Beans weren't special but were decent. The Greens, decent. With each meal plate, the chicken is served on a slice of white bread. The chicken was fried to a deep brown and was real tasty. My dark meat was juicy and tender. My wife's white meat was drier but normal for white meat. My wife's felt the chicken skin was maybe overcooked as it was tough. It was fine to me. They tasted ok, not great and the syrup wasn't maple or even high grade store bought. it was thick gummy textured stuff.. Moe's offers Zipline Drone delivery https://www.zipline.com/about , we watched as 2 orders were place in the zipline drop and then lift to the sky for delivery.. we checked the pricing for that service and it's a low cost alternative to other delivery services.. We will use it in the future as a test. The open seating and interior is fun and distinctive with a local school and city themed images on the walls. All in all we liked it, the service is great!

The cafe has local artwork on the walls, some by customers, according to the manager, Rachel. They were clearly short staffed, with one person covering the entire floor and bar and the owner working in the kitchen. We completely understood that and were patient. After an extremely long wait, the kids' entree they were splitting came out last and was wrong. We asked for it to be remade, but they were so hungry from waiting that they ultimately ate the incorrect meal rather than continue waiting. After finishing, we waited more than 20 minutes just to pay and eventually had to take my card to the server. When the check came, we had been charged for BOTH the incorrect entree and the replacement. After pointing this out, we were told, "Don't worry about it, we'll fix it later." I asked that it be corrected before I paid. Another 15 minutes later, we received the corrected check and discovered an automatic gratuity had been added. I asked to speak with the owner and calmly explained that I understood they were short staffed. However, given the excessive wait, incorrect food, double charge, and overall experience, I was surprised by the automatic gratuity and that we were charged for the incorrect meal at all. His response was by far the worst part of the experience. He was dismissive and condescending, rolled his eyes while I was speaking, and showed absolutely no concern about our experience. At the end of our conversation, I told him that I thought speaking with him directly was the right thing to do rather than simply leaving a negative review. After his response, I told him I now planned to leave one. His response was: "Go for it. Go crazy with it." So, here it is. Mistakes happen. Restaurants get short staffed. Food comes out wrong. I can understand all of that. What I cannot understand is an owner treating a customer with such disregard after that customer made every effort to be patient and address the situation respectfully and directly. Customer service starts at the top, and unfortunately, this experience spoke volumes. We obviously will not be returning. And based on the dismissive and combative responses you've left to seemingly every other negative review, I fully expect your response to this one will only reinforce the point: when customers praise your business, their support is welcomed but, when they have a legitimate complaint, their experience is dismissed, argued with, or treated as though it simply doesn't matter.
