Had dinner with friends after an event. The food is always great and the service wonderful. Tonight was a great example. Diego took wonderful care of our table. We had Chef Thomas come out to let us know my steak was overcooked and being refired, and would follow the other plates by 2 minutes. We went to Rise (to use my free birthday soufflé) to get some of their amazing coffee. always such a joy to be there. It was calm at 10:00am on Easter Sunday! Savory or sweet there are options for every flavor profile - the apple tart was the perfect combination of sweet and buttery, all the soufflé options make it hard to choose...i recommend ordering and sharing to indulge in all the deliciousness! The service is good, but they do get really busy at times, we sat with empty drinks for a while. The space is lovely, and the patio is perfect for a party of 2 if you like a little more of an atmosphere for connecting, it can get pretty loud inside. What a wonderful experience! We had reservations, which was necessary because at lunch on Friday it was packed! Rise is a top restaurant to visit each time we are in the Fort Worth area! The decor is beautiful, staff is always the friendliest and the food stands out among any other brunch option in the area. Each soufflé we try only gets better and better over the years. Food reviews: Truffle mushroom--one of my favorites! Truffle flavor is fully pronounced and provides a nice umami note to the dish Sun dried tomato and pesto chèvre--new menu selection and another amazing standout. Highly recommend. I was in Fort Worth for a week, and I went to Rise three times! Everything is sooo delicious there, starting with the bread. It's as close to French as I've found. The French onion soup is the perfect balance of onions, broth and cheese. But I had to try the Marshmallow soup, and I was hooked! Could be the tastiest I will ever have. Encroyable! Luckily, I could share the Ham and Cheese Soufflé, also, because the soup is filling. We ordered that twice, it was so good! On our third visit, we tried the Escargot Soufflé. Also delicious! I wish I lived there. I would bet that everything on the menu is great. The food is so amazing, but I have to mention that the restaurant itself is charming. It has the feel of southern France, with nice decor, some of which can be purchased, although so subtly arranged, we didn't notice at first. And the service is impeccable. I was really excited to try this restaurant as I was attending as part of our birthday brunch. The ambiance was very beautiful. It is well decorated and the attention to detail was amazing. I will say, however I was quite disappointed in the service as my sever was very friendly however I felt like she took too much time in between checking on us and taking our orders although we were there for two hours. I ended up taking my truffle soufflé to go because the entire brunch was taking longer than expected and I had plans for after this period. To my disappointment, once I opened up my truffle infused mushroom soufflé--This is exactly how it appeared. I was very disappointed to say the least. We celebrated our anniversary last night at Rise. Our evening was as memorable as our wedding 52 years ago! The restaurant atmosphere almost makes you feel like you're dining privately. The wife and I went to Rise on a Saturday night, and it did not disappoint! They offered bread for the table, which came out warm and crisp. The inside was perfect too. We tried the Prix Fixe Menu with one additional savory soufflé, and that was plenty of food for two people. The highlight was the Marshmallow Soup, which is a carrot/tomato bisque with goat cheese "marshmallows", and it was fantastic! We followed that up with the Cauliflower & Brie soufflé and the Mac & Cheese with Bacon soufflé. I liked the cauliflower one better as it was light and airy, whereas the Mac & Cheese was a bit heavier and richer. Both were excellent though. The final item of the night was the Strawberry soufflé, which is a seasonal item. Again, light and airy, but we couldn't finish it because we were full from the rest of the meal. We made reservations two weeks ago for 11:30am. We donned our aprons and pearls and set out to Fort Worth. Our table was ready and service was spectacular. Even though it was a set menu, you had a choice of their best dishes including the marshmallow soup which is a lovely tomato bisque with floating goat cheese "marshmallows" which are so airy and light they melt in your mouth. The Rise salad has apple matchsticks on top of greens and pecans with a lovely light vinegarette with blue cheese crumbles. The soufflé is hot and delicious no matter which one you try. I had the mushroom soufflé. For dessert, you must try the chocolate soufflé with chocolate sauce and the apple tart with ice cream. Both were a tasters dream. The soufflés came nice and hot and fresh, my kids really enjoyed theirs(especially the sauce you put inside it) and my husband loved his raspberry soufflé. I really enjoyed the chocolate but preferred eating the raspberry with the chocolate sauce(perfect sweet and tart bite) the ambiance of the restaurant was so cute and aesthetic, we sat outside where they had mesh covers so bugs couldn't get to us or the food, it was nice, clean and organized with workers coming through cleaning every so often. Our waitress was very helpful and polite, she even bagged us up extra bread after we told her how delicious it was. I wish we lived closer so we could come by and try other flavors of their dessert soufflés along with their savory flavors. This was our first time having soufflés! My boyfriend and I decided to go on a cute little date here while visiting and we were able to walk in and automatically get seated for lunch. First off, I love the fact that european restaurants never fail to deliver with the complimentary bread. Free, top quality, and the butter is always light and silky. We started with their marshmallow soup, which was a tomato bisque topped with pesto and a piece of goat cheese that resembled marshmallows (so cute). It was creamy and we found it to not too overbearing, I liked this. Our server raved about the french onion being the best ever so we had to see it for ourselves! The soup with caramelized onions and soaked bread was quite hearty and nourishing but I figured I am just not a french soup person, boyfriend preferred it because of the melted cheese. Onto the mains! We opted for their most popular off the menu, the crab soufflé, and we agreed that it was a little overhyped; it tasted too eggy and we felt that it needed another factor rather than the same steamed egg texture throughout (we also recognized it is a soufflé, after all). A chewy or crusty exterior would elevate the dish! We ended up spreading some of it on the bread and it made for a great bite. And the highlight: DESSERT! Our waiter was generously honest and told us the best dessert in house were none of the soufflés but the apple tart, but also recommended us the seasonal pumpkin soufflé - which we originally opted for. After the crab, we doubted our choice and asked if we could switch it to the apple tart instead, but our server Daniel (bless him) had already placed an order to surprise us and let us try the apple tart for free after knowing we're from out of state. This was so very sweet of him, someone please give him a raise! When the apple tart came out, oh wow, did we INHALE this dish. I am not exaggerating when I say it was gone within not minutes, but SECONDS. Even Daniel had walked past, paused, and gave us a look of what looked like a mix of surprise and fear. The crispiness of the warm apples and puff pastry paired perfectly with the cold vanilla ice cream and drizzled caramel. Not to be dramatic, but it was a little taste of heaven. I rebranded myself as an apple dessert lover right then and there. 10/10. We also enjoyed the pumpkin soufflé a lot! It came with whipped cream and creme anglaise to pour over. Caught wind of Rise from a foodie friend up in DFW. Tried to go last visit but got out voted for sushi. This time it was just the GF and I (besties arrived the next day) so I headed straight for the FW location to check it out. Because, this country bumpkin has never had a souffle. We arrived during happy hour so my favorite Kronenbourg to start. Some freebies made it to the table. My first fig that didn't come from a "newton". A thumbnail of brie, some toasted bread, and the tiny pickles I don't usually care for and can't pronounce. GF's plate was a little different with slices of hard boiled egg, toasted bread, and a smoked salmon mousse. This silky fish dip was the best bites of the complimentary offerings. She even liked it which is rare because she is one of the pickiest fish peeps ever. I think she played her souffle game safe with the mac and cheese version. Find the posted pic where she is literally staring at it before she takes her first scoop. I opted for the escargot version which in retrospect I would have just taken the escargot on it's own. Best bites for the experience was the Rise salad which we shared. Here's my thoughts; the menu is too focused on souffle.
