We had been to WineHaus several times for happy hour and enjoyed the atmosphere and the wine selection. They play rock music in the background (which I like), but low volume so you don't have to yell to be heard. But, that's not true of jazz night. I found it obnoxiously loud, to the point where having a conversation was very difficult. If you're on a date and want to get to know each other, don't come here on jazz night. I go when they host Silent Book Club! Their menu is very nice and drink prices are fair (snacks are pricey). I really enjoy the space, and have read on the top and bottom floors. A great accidental find. Stopped in before we went to a wedding nearby. Service was great, the girl working the bar was sweet and helpful. They had some great options for drinks I ended up trying the Diet Coke and wine mixture. It was interesting, I would order it again. Cute place, their menu selection wasn't massive but it was sufficient; hit the basics. Service was sporadic as there was only one employee working, but for a weekday evening in a small space that was fine. My first ever visit to a wine bar, anywhere, and I really enjoyed it. Located in Fort Worth's south side, it's situated in an old house filled with furnishings from the era and new pieces that fit in just fine. Anyway, I started with a glass of Tempranillo from Spain, followed up with a flight called "Rich & Cozy." It consisted of a Malbec from Argentina, a Cotes du Rhone from France and a Zinfandel from California. A cup of sweet & spicy nuts (almonds, pecans & pepitos) joined the party. My husband and I arrived on a Saturday around 4:30 pm. We were immediately impressed with the interior decorations and design. We were greeted immediately and we told our greeter we were going to check out the patio and then decide whether to sit inside or out. We quickly decided inside as well we are in Texas and it was a little warm but it did look inviting. We sat at the bar and I ordered Chenin Blanc and my husband ordered Tempernillo. We were excited to learn that Lindsey the owner was waiting on us and we had the great pleasure of also speaking with her parents who were also seated at the bar. I was very impressed with the fact that they have partnered with the Greek restaurant next door (Chadra) and you can order it and a wait person from next door brings it right over. They walk behind the bar, grab plates and silverware and napkins and serve you just like they would if you were in their restaurant. Impressive! We ordered a margarita pizza and it was really good with our wine. On my second glass I got the sweeter Reisling and my husband stayed with his Temperanillo. The ambiance is great and I found Lindsey funny, kind and very welcoming. I can't wait to grab friends and family and bring them back. Bonus they have this exception room upstairs available to rent for gatherings. She had entertained a bridal shower early that day. The pizza was $11 And our bar tab for 4 glasses was $35. I visited on a recent Saturday night with 5 girlfriends and we had the place practically to ourselves. We sat out on the charming back patio and shared 2 growlers of the Left Coast Pinot. Service was excellent. Good to know: Chadra Mezza (next door) has a special Wine Haus menu available. They send a waiter over and you get full table service with plates and utensils. But really, my hubby and I have been here a couple times and every time we get ignored or just not really given much attention as we would at another wine bar (say, Kent on Southside).
