I must be easy to please, but I never understood the popular dissing of Waffle House. I've been comin' to 'em since way back in their hayday (back when you'd have to tolerate the smokin' even!) and I've always had favorable experiences with them. This location (along with the one on north Rufe Snow) have always been a late evening go-to with the wifey (glad I married so well, she likes 'em as much as me). This is how a Waffle House should operate- efficient, good food at reasonable prices, good customer service, and not in a ghetto fabulous area. In addition, this location was very clean on multiple occasions that I've visited, and has plenty of parking outside. We went at around 12:30, so the restaurant was a little packed and noisy, but the staff was working hard to maintain a comfortable and inviting atmosphere. Only two employees at the location when we stopped by, a waitress and a cook. Our food was cooked to perfection, hot and fresh. 3rd time to this place 1st time when they first opened, it was good! 2nd time was ok but staff had a huge verbal fight was obnoxious and service sucked! And this time horrible nobody but my husband myself and one person at bar! Our waiter took forever to wait on us and was literally standing there on his phone! He came to table took our order the back to his phone this time sitting down! Brought our food when done didn't fill our empty coffee or give us water or even ask if we wanted anything, went back on his phone. Then brought the check didn't ask again if we wanted more coffee or anything else just handed the check! I have complained to corporate 2 x 1st time never heard back this time manager called left me a message which I returned but they have not called back! We visited in April 23rd it was May 5th before we heard from them and it's May 12th now with no call back! I'm done I will never go back it's apparent they could care less about their staff or the customers! The place was dirty food on floor tables all wet, there were only 2 workers our waiter who sucked and should be fired! And the cook who worked solid the whole time we were there. read more

Really good, new location. They were super-friendly & fast. I took an employee for lunch. The only thing I did not like was that they dressed my burger for me instead of putting the veggies on the side, as I am used to. That meant I had to navigate around disgusting pickles, which I loathe, and deal with their residual, overwhelming flavor. I've never had a Waffle House burger come pre-dressed. This place is terrible! Every time I order here, they get my food wrong! I make very clear choices on the website that they themselves offer! No extra notes, no complicated orders, just simple orders! I pay for an order expecting to get what was promised. Either half my order is missing or most of my sides are, it's just ridiculous. They also force me to do a "service charge" AKA a forced tip and then ask me to tip again. Either give me the option to tip on my own which I'm happy to or make it a forced tip and don't ask me again. Finally, if I'm forced to tip someone specifically to bag up my order and handle it, they should be dedicated to helping with pick up. I shouldn't be waiting almost 5 minutes after they just helped someone to get service. I shouldn't have to grab my own order that is bagged and tied off, just to get home and find out they made it wrong. Why am I being forced to pay this person a tip and they never seem to make sure my order is right. Like how hard is it to read the receipt and make sure what is on it is in the bag? I have worked in the service industry, specifically in food so I know it's not that hard and statistically it shouldn't happen every time. Maybe every now and then, but not everytime. read more

This visit was on 2/14, their Valentine's Day dinner. I heard in one of my Facebook "foodie" groups that Waffle House goes all out for dinner on Valentine's Day and had to check it out! Sure enough, some (but not all) locations have a special. They even require reservations! There is little to be found about the Valentine's Day dinner in an internet search but I was patient and checked every few days or so. They just have a list of the locations what would be participating and the person to contact for a reservations. That was it. I should mention that we did see people come to eat there but did not have a reservation and were actually turned away so if you are interested definitely make a reservation! My fiancé called the contact for this location, left a message and got a call back telling him where to schedule a reservation. I'm not sure why he couldn't go directly from the announcement page to the reservation page, but that isn't how they have it set up. You select the table number you want and the time you want. Each reservation is only 35 minutes so you are in and out, they reset the table and the next reservation is seated. We arrived and our table wasn't quite ready so the host encouraged photos at their decorated wall where props were also available. He even offered to take our picture. He took several and he did a great job. After a few "regular" photos he encouraged funny faces, which made us laugh - as it was expected to, no doubt! Our table was ready immediately after the pictures so he escorted us to the table. Each table had a white tablecloth on it. Granted, they were thin plastic tablecloths but the effort was there and it was appreciated! Tables had flowers on them and they greeted us with a drink in a plastic champagne flute! It was some sort of Sprite/strawberry concoction but it set the mood so nicely! There is a special dinner menu from which to order if you'd like. The two of you would have to agree, though, because these were set up as dinner for 2. There was a 2 T-bone steaks dinner, a 2 sirloin dinners, 2 chicken dinner and a 2 porkchop dinner. Each came with a side salad, drinks and a dessert to share. We didn't go that route and ordered from their usual menu. Next time we might try ordering from the special menu, because steak? At a WH? That deserves to be tried! We were out of there in 30-35 minutes, they changed the tablecloth, reset the table and greeted their next guests. I have to say, the guy acting as host was the perfect choice! The was personable but not pushy. He treated it as the special day that it was and I appreciate that. We don't usually do anything on Valentine's Day and treat it as any other day so this was really fun. All of the servers were also friendly and you could tell they probably really liked each other - they were playing, laughing, dancing and some were singing together. Will we go back to Waffle House? Eh, maybe, maybe not. But for Valentine's Day? ABSOLUTELY!!! read more

Clearly a new location, and I love The House, but I'll drive to a further location than ever visit this one again (so I can be honest with the review). I love WH and have probably been to well over 50+ locations, and this one was the worst - by far. Parts of it will get better and they get trained up, but right now they're terrible. On a rainy holiday there were more staff (maybe 8) than customers (5, 2 pairs and I was solo). Sitting in the 1st booth next to the counter, it probably shouldn't have taken 5 minutes to be acknowledged for a drink order. I guess my server was on break (certainly OK) but dang, someone else take a drink order. Breakfast plate and hash-browns ordered... do you know the term "too many chefs ruins...". This was it. The waffle came right away. OK. Then while they were preparing everything else, the eggs were sitting there getting cold while the bacon and hash browns were finishing up. Gotta love some barely-warm eggs when the restaurant was nearly empty. I watched good food get cold. Awesome. I could have and should have said something. But the duty manager (I think, she was the only person wearing a different color shirt) was holding court. Was she training? Nope. She had everyone looking at and laughing at an older gentleman (late 70's) struggle to park a large cargo van. Yes, he was struggling - and did so for a few minutes. She was openly poking fun at him with customers listening. Sure....... I was going to complain about cold food to her. I almost told the man about the fun they had at his expense, but it wasn't worth it. He looked like a nice gentleman. All the above is factual, and therefore a very fair summary of why I think this is the worst location in all of Waffle House Land by a pretty large margin. I'm still a WH fan.... I'll just skip this location and drive a tad further when I have the urge. read more

Disgusting! The manager of this place needs to be put on a Final best case scenario, but realistically needs to be fired for running a poor establishment. I love Waffle House, but this new place the food is just disgusting. The team is lost, has no direction and they all look lost. They literally burn the chilli and said they didn't have any cause of it. Some food was border line not cook well and had no taste. We arrived at a peak busy time (1130 am) and so our party of 3 had to wait about 10 min for a table. Something about a rag wiped over a table & brushing food crumbs onto the floor doesn't give the best impression of sanitization. It was not enough to put us off, but I think a quick spray of a food safe cleaner after wiping would be an improvement. Our server had a very kind demeanor- the food met our expected Waffle House standard of excellence, and was efficiently delivered. The server followed up several times to check on us & kept our drinks filled - a major good point for me in any restaurant- and didn't rush us out even tho there were customers waiting for tables. We were in/out in about an hour. Love the classic hash browns with various adds - smothered, covered, chopped, etc. eggies cooked perfectly. And tho the waffle seemed thinner than we remembered, it was a good size & nicely crispy. read more

I don't usually like to complain about my experience, but this wasn't a great one. My husband ordered the patty melt and I ordered the All-Star Special. A family of 5 came in after us, got their drink order taken after us, and received their drinks first. We got the patty melt and the All Star Special (minus the waffle) and we'd requested for hash browns extra crispy and they were not done correctly. We finished our whole meal before the server came to see us, drinks empty, asking if we needed anything. We mentioned never receiving the waffle, to which he said it would be done in 3 minutes. 8 minutes go by and the waffle hadn't been delivered. We decided to leave and he said he'd give me my waffle to go, but we requested for it to be taken off. He took around $1 off the meal and reduced it to what a platter with eggs, meat, and toast would have been. There were only two people working at the time, around 5 tables, a few at the bar top, and three to go orders. I understand that being short staffed can easily cause bad service, but no communication was made with any tables. The server disappeared in the back for a few minutes while the cook was working on a line of plates. We love Waffle House, but this time did not satisfy. read more

The manager was yelling at their employees while customers were in there trying to have a peaceful meal with their children. We were given 2 bottoms of a bun for a hamburger and when our waitress asked the manager/cook for a new bun the manager yelled at her and said that's the least of my fu***** worries. We asked for his name and would not give it to us. He is a black male that looks about his late 20s - early 30s. It took over 30 minutes to get our meals and the burger was burnt. I am so sad to have to say this but it needs to be said. 2/4/23 my husband I went to WH and it was terrible. There were 4 teen agers working with no manager in sight. All booths were full or filthy so one asked if we wanted to sit at the bar and offered to clean a spot for us. By clean I mean she shoved all the dirty dishes to one end. We has to ask for our spot to be wiped down. The service by our waitress was terrible. She had to ask my hubs 3x what he wanted to drink. He ordered water and she could not remember. I personally thing she was on something. Our meal was given to us in stages instead of all at once which I did not like. The food was OK I mean its WH soo but what got me was the filth. One of the 4 employees had dropped a plate of food on the floor entrance to the kitchen and they just stepped over it. I felt contaminated when we left...like just dirty. I felt sorry for the other people who came in and just waited and waited to be sat and to have a table sort of cleaned. I felt myself wanting to get up and clean. Shame there was no manager around to whip this place in shape. Never again.....sorry not sorry. read more

WH service varies by location & time of day as I visited this location around noon. Staff made sure their was a clean seat for me in a timely manner.
