[[Just a side note first: At the time I'm writing this, Google Maps places the location of the restaurant on top of an apartment north of it's location. First Watch is located in the Publix shopping center across the parking lot from the other restaurants. I sent in an edit request, so maybe the marker's location will be fixed soon]] When my wife and I first walked in the place for breakfast, I was immediately struck by the modern look of the place. But alas, my next realization was that the seats closer to the front are placed so that you would sit right beside other people. Sure enough, we were seated so that I was sitting at a long booth with a stranger within arm's reach. This other woman was closer to me than my own wife who sat in a chair across the table from me. The voices of the people beside me, mixed with that of the others nearby, were so loud in my ears that it made it difficult for my wife and I to cary on with a regular conversation. Something I noticed about the prices is that while this is rated as one $ here on Yelp (denoting a price under $10) both our meals were over that. We decided to come here because we didn't want to spend over $30 on breakfast, which we ended up doing. (It has since changed to $$ since I posted my review.) Though the waiter was nice and not offensive in any way, he never smiled. My wife originally thought he was mean before deciding that he was just new to serving, since the place opened not too long ago. I thought he was nice, but he looked so serious! Maybe he was just being "professional", but the place isn't THAT classy. We ordered Millionaire's Bacon, which is candied bacon like you'd now get at Bob Evans, except it costs a dollar more, you get one less piece, and they put black pepper and maple syrup on top of the already sweetened bacon. It was good, but not really worth the price, given that we could get the same sort of thing elsewhere in a better atmosphere for cheaper. My meal was the "The Works" omlette, which came with potatoes (or a salad) and thick toast that was already buttered for me. What if I didn't want butter? The omlette is described on the menu as having "ham, bacon, sausage, house-roasted Crimini mushrooms, onions and tomatoes with Cheddar and Monterey Jack. Topped with all-natural sour cream." Sounded exciting to me. Well, the inside was barely filled with those ingredients, leaving me to feel that the $10.99 they charged me was way too much. The bits of meat and mushroom that were in there did taste good though.... My wife had ordered the Smoked Salmon Benedict, described thusly: "Two poached cage-free eggs atop toasted ciabatta piled high with Wild Alaska Smoked Sockeye Salmon, red onion and vine-ripened tomato and covered with hollandaise. Served with lightly dressed organic mixed greens." We forgot to tell the waiter that she doesn't like hollandaise sause, so when her eggs came drenched in the stuff, she couldn't eat them. That was our fault, of course. The salmon was a very thin pink slice that didn't look cooked, had a tough texture, and didn't taste like much of anything. Also, when we had placed the order, she was asked if she wanted salad or potatoes with it; she wanted the salad but got just the mixed greens that came with the meal anyway. She ended up picking at her meal and eating the bacon, looking much like she was disappointed in her food. This cost us $12.99. When we went to the front counter to pay, we were asked (by the manager?) if everything was okay. Being the sort of non-confrontational person that I am, and not wanting to depress my wife further, I just smiled and said "Yeah!" I know, I'm a pansy. Overall (if you're still reading this long review), it was a place that showed promise, but the seating arrangements were terrible and the food was overpriced. You should know the food is overpriced when they don't show the prices on their website. I see no reason to go back. My wife had wanted to go to IHOP (our usual jam), but I encouraged her to try something new. So I then had to cheer her up by taking her to Goodberry's and then Walmart afterward. read more

Holy moly this place is great! The best breakfast I've had in awhile and I'm still in awe! Accidentally bypassed this place while in route to another breakfast spot. When I realized that traffic was a nightmare, I did a quick u-turn and was about to go to a fast-food spot and grab a breakfast sandwich. Needless to say, that u-turn was the best turn of the day because I saw this location and did a beeline. The service was great. It was pretty crowded but my wait time wasn't long at all. Their menu options are expansive and includes lunch and breakfast items. While I would have loved to try everything on the menu, my stomach nor wallet would agree to it! I ordered the traditional breakfast of eggs, toast, turkey sausage, and breakfast potatoes. "Wow" is the best word to describe the food. It was a good amount and everything was cooked to perfection. I get it, the whole social distancing thing is creating challenges to the way businesses take care of their clients, and suffice to say I hate it. But not as much as I hate, burnt potatoes, burnt roasted tomatoes, burnt onions, and burnt bacon under an almost hard fried ( I asked for over easy/ RUNNY) eggs. I have gone to several of these locations and never and I mean NEVER in the last two years or the twenty or so times I've gone, has my food ever come back like this. I won't stop coming because I know better but I truly hope that the next time I go, my food is up to par. While I don't particularly enjoy breakfast foods, I will admit that First Watch's menu selection had me salivating. As with most brunch places, this place gets packed especially on the weekends, so make sure that your whole party is present when waiting to be seated. The atmosphere indoors is lively, with cute wooden decors. Despite being busy, the service was not lacking at all. The food came out surprisingly quick. Onto the food! I ordered the BLT Eggs Benedict mostly due to my affinity for all things with avocado. The Eggs Benedict usually come with veggies on the side, but you can opt to switch them out for seasoned potatoes for no extra cost. The Eggs Benedict was a little bit difficult for me to eat, but delicious nonetheless. It's served on a piece of ciabatta bread, with two poached eggs and the topping combination of your choice (mine was BLT). The eggs were poached nicely with the perfect soft yolk. The potatoes were tasty as well, although I would've preferred a bit more seasoning. All in all, I would say my first experience at First Watch was a pleasant one. I don't know if I'll come back just because I rarely ever wake up in time for brunch but I'll definitely be recommending it to my friends for all their "brunching" needs! read more

Came for breakfast with the hubbs and i got Barbacoa Benedict and he got the ham gruyere omelette. The atmosphere is good, kinda loudish but a good choice if youve got kids. My benedict really didnt seem like a benedict and would not get again. The beef on top replaces the traditional ham which was very salty and you could not even taste the hollandaise. :( overall the egg was good and adding avocado with a side salad was a nice touch. Hubbs got a pretty plain omelette but loaded with good portion of ham and said his only complaint was there was no customizable choices. :-/ he did like substitution of side salad for potatoes but you have to remember to ask for it as its not standard. We really liked the fact that they leave a pitcher of coffee on the table too ($2.80 each!) Id give this place another shot but would try something different next time. I decided to try the chickichanga- Whipped eggs with spicy all-natural white-meat chicken, chorizo sausage, green chilies, Cheddar and Monterey Jack, onions and avocado rolled in a flour tortilla. Topped with Vera Cruz sauce and sour cream. Served with fresh fruit and fresh, seasoned potatoes. I enjoyed the dish since it wasn't too spicy but flavorful. My daughter ordered from the kids menu however the portions were big. She was a happy girl with her 1/2 waffle with turkey sausage. I love brunch, and I love brunching on Sunday's. It was my second time coming here on a late Sunday morning, and I'll definitely be back again. I conveniently used Yelp to get on the waitlist while I was on my way, and the app was very accurate on wait times and how many parties were in front of mine. They also have free coffee in the waiting area! Drinks: Their cold brew is OK, and I didn't order the house coffee again the second time. My biggest complaint is that they bring the water out (in what looks like a recycled glass milk jug) with no ice, and the cups for water are unreasonably small. Our waiter only gave us one jug of water for a party of 4 during peak hours of brunch, and let's just say we were all eyeing him down for a refill towards the end of our meal. Slower service can be expected during the busiest hours, but small jugs of water...in small cups...with no ice...just doesn't seem to help the situation. However, one jug for a party of two was perfectly fine during my last visit. Food: Eggcellent!! The Florentine Egg Benedict was simply delicious with a perfectly poached egg. The egg benedicts are also a dollar or two cheaper than most brunch spots in the area! The Elevated Egg Sandwich was SO good, and I loved that I could order it on whole grain toast instead of the brioche bun. This will still be my favorite place however today something to point out. I'd advice to check your to go orders and ensure you're not over charged. I would've probably not written if the employees would've acted more customer experience oriented. In their defense, two of them seem young. The third that I believe is a supervisor, that never apologized. I placed an order over the phone, for two menu items. The hostess handed me my order and when I checked the bag, there was an item missing. I inquired about it and menu clearly said item was included. She acknowledged and requested for the item to be fetched from kitchen. I got the item in the bag and she handed me copy to sign. When I signed, I flipped over the receipt and I was being charged for the item! She said that as hostess they don't really look. That was disappointing and their apology was towards the computer screen and not me. Had an unpleasant visit. Egg Benedict wasn't prepared properly, hard boiled yoke. Told the manager and then they gave my running poached eggs on the side, and told me they replaced the eggs, instead of remaking my eggs Benedict the right way. Manger then told me I ate 75% on my eggs Benedict, when I didn't even finish one of the hard boiled eggs. This is actually the second time they screwed up the order and handled the same way. Very disappointed in the way this was handled.... If you had rotten tomatoes in your salad, would you bring a side of tomatoes and have the customer pick out and replace all the tomatoes...? I love to start with the morning meditation juice. For my meal I've tried a variety of different things during my several meals here.
