So it was a busy day waiting for a table would be well over 30 minutes so I waited for a spot at the bar. The two spots that someone had left wasn't cleared until about 5 minutes of the dishes sitting in front of me. There was another lady sitting next to me and she mentioned she had been there a while but the waiter hadnt gotten her order yet. So after the dishes were cleared the waiter finally came over to get our drink order. My coffee came out but didn't have utensils. There was a tray of single utensils sitting on the bar so I asked a waiter passing by if they were clean and I grabbed a spoon. The area we were sitting in wasn't cleaned until we asked for it to be cleaned. We had to ask for a roll of utensils. Just seemed that the waiters either were overwhelmed or was just being lazy and not paying attention to what needed to be done. The food was great as always so still gained 4 stars for that. What an incredible breakfast! We started with coffee and a "pomegranate mule" breakfast drink. Both were delicious. I had "the works" omelet and my daughter had the pumpkin pancake breakfast. We shared an order of the million dollar bacon. My only regret is that I couldn't eat every bite and lick the plate clean! It was that delicious. Let me start by saying this is my favorite breakfast spot- I have been a long time customer previously living in south Florida. We went this morning for breakfast and asked to be seated outside. A few minutes later a young server approached to take our drink order, my S.O. quickly asked if we could have 2 coffees and 2 waters- The server kept asking me for my order???? There were only 2 of us at the table- I repeated the order 4 times- another server brought our food and we were never checked on- we kept having to ask a other servers if we wanted anything- borrow salt/ pepper from other tables - and waited 20 minutes after our plates were taken before I went I went inside to get the bill. My husband had the Belgium waffle and the million dollar bacon he said it was by far the best waffle he's every had. The ingredients are FRESH. The fresh squeezed orange juice really hit the spot. We went to First Watch for Father's Day. It was our first time, and we will be going back again for sure. We got the lemon ricotta pancakes and million-dollar bacon to share, the breakfast tacos, the Mexicali corn skillet, and I got the Chikichanga. They were all delicious!! My daughter got the kale tonic to drink, and she said it was awesome too. I know now that I should get on the "watch list" here on Yelp! before I go. The wait for us just showing up was 45-60 minutes, and we ended up waiting about 50 minutes. The wait list is definitely the way to cut down your wait time! Bacon is unbelievable, waffle is very good, but no matter how many times I come in (probably 10 now) and order scrambled eggs they can't see to understand how to scramble an egg. Scrambled eggs are NOT over well eggs chopped up, like they do it. That is nasty. You put the eggs in a container, bowl, small pan, crack and open them up and whip them until they are all one color of yellow and THEN you cook them. Chopping and flipping constantly while on the griddle or in a pan. It is pretty simple. Yes I have explained this to my server a dozen times and every time they come out wrong. I give up . read more

Kitchen slipped, I ordered the Mexican Hash which is described on the menus as topped with creme, avocado and cheese. All were MIA asked the waitress & she brought the avocado but appeared confused and unsure that items were left off the dish. Know your product! I want to start off by saying that I love the food at this chain. All my past meals have been very good. Today I stopped in to this location for the first time on my way back from a business trip and was looking forward to another good meal. The restaurant was not to crowded and I was immediately seated. Quick look at the menu and I decided on the Million Dollar Breakfast sandwich and waited for someone to take my order and bring out some coffee. After about 10 minutes no one had came to my table to take my order. I was seated in a high traffic area so it was not like I was out of sight and forgotten about. I finally flagged down the host who just seated a couple beside me and told her no one had come to my table since I was seated. She went into the back kitchen and I waited. A waitress came out and walked by me and took the drink order of the couple that was just seated. After another few minutes someone came to my table to take my order. I gave her my order and asked to speak to the manager. She came out after a few minutes and I explained the situation. She was empathetic and apologetic and offered me something while I waited which I turned down because I was in a hurry and just wanted what I ordered. The manger brought out my order within a few minutes and apologized again for the poor experience. She even stopped by again and brought me a couple of $2 discount cards for my next visit. Asked for replacements and eggs were basically the same except cooked a little longer....still not good....bacon still over cooked! Pumpkin pancakes were under cooked in the middle! This breakfast/brunch/lunch cafe opened a couple months ago here in Bluffton. They are consistently busy and I've read a couple reviews about issues of waiting and call-ahead check in. Hopefully they will get that smoothed out because the food is great and our experience with the service and management has been top notch. We have been twice and each time received excellent service and delicious food. On our last visit recently, my husband's selection had an ingredient he had asked to be omitted. The order was redone and, as they were quite busy, this took about 15 minutes. By then, I had finished my breakfast. The kitchen manager was on top of it, came to our table to assure us that this was not their usual or to-be-expected service and he apologized. At check out, he made sure our total bill was comped. I fully expected they would comp Dave's but was glad to see they went the full measure and did the right thing. All of our food was fresh, hot and delicious and we will be going back. read more

It's the honeymoon period for the newest breakfast place in the small community of Bluffton. There's a beautiful building housing the restaurant and plentiful parking. Good start. Uh-oh, we are told there is a 30 minute wait. But, as the hostess says that aloud, the numerous wanna-be diners shake their collective heads and one says that his 30 minutes has already turned into 45 minutes. We opt to sit outside, even though it's chilly. The menus and waters come quickly, but we wait 55 MINUTES for our food. There is no acknowledgement from anyone about the tardiness. Was the food tasty? Yes. Was the price reasonable? Yes. Was it worth the wait? Not even by a long shot. I'll give this place another try, on a weekday. If the kitchen is still running without efficiency, I'll scramble my own eggs at home. read more

The service is great and the owner or manager usually come by to see how things are going. The food ranges from indulgent breakfast foods to healthier options which seems more like the kind of range you would get in a major city. A very busy place, but given the location that is unsurprising. I usually try to hit up locally owned spots, but this is a solid choice for brekkie/brunch. If they ever decide to purchase a wine/liquor license... probably the only thing I missed was a mimosa/Bellini. We used Yelp to check-in and see our place on the wait list. It meant we walked in and were seated almost immediately (under 10 minute wait), to the audible annoyance of the guests around us. That will always start brunch off correctly. Ha! The back-waiters and bus-people were keeping the place moving, the servers were a bit... busy. Again, understandable when running a 45 minute wait. They certainly earned their tips, and they were very pleasant and relaxed, making their guests (us) feel not rushed. I've been craving a breakfast sandwich for a while now, and this place delivered. The lemon arugula was subtle, but a very appreciated twist and put the 'Elevated Egg Sandwich' on the "Crave"-list. My partner had a simple Belgian Waffle, but that was spot on too. The strawberry compote was quite nice, from what he said. All told two entrees, coffee and juice totaled $26, and I'm certainly happy with that. I'll, and we, certainly be back! read more

The food at this location was good and the server was as well. There was a very loud bearded man accepting payment at the cash stand in the front. He was excessively loud and rude and insulted a customer that was attempting to pay his bill. He could be heard at our table which was quite distant from the front of the restaurant. This turned what would have been good experience into a poor one. I have early afternoon business luncheons 3 to 4 times per week, often with at least four people. I will not be dining at this location due to this man who clearly is on the wrong career. read more
