Dates stuffed with Boursin cheese, yum!
Paula Z.

What a little gem. Comfy and cozy with a warm vibe. After a day of working in the yard, was too tired to cook so checked out Craft Kitchen. My husband had a yummy Side Hustle Pilsner. We shared a life-altering appetizer of dates stuffed with Boursin cheese served on a bed of bacon-laden arugula. I had a fantastic cous-cous Mediterranean arugula salad with chicken and took half home for tomorrow's lunch. The fried chicken breast was crunchy, not greasy. Mike devoured his single smash burger and killer fries. Friendly and efficient service by Michael, too. Definitely going to bring friends. Just hope to score a table!

Our server, Karla, was attentive helpful and overall fantastic on a busy Saturday afternoon. She made our little one feel important too. Our group of 5 adults and one 3 year old enjoyed the casual atmosphere. Clean, new and nicely decorated with TVs featuring sports events and family fun programs. There is a huge offering of craft beer on tap and in cans/ bottles. An exceptionally wide choice of tasty N/A beers. I recommend the Fat Orange Cat Free Kittens N/A. The kitchen kept orders moving through the restaurant. Our whole group enjoyed our food and drink choices. Smash Burger - not shown -beautifully done

Very good burgers! Cheese sauce on fries is legit! SO GOOD. Nice little place, cozy atmosphere. Smaller menu but fresh ingredients. Nice staff!

Best gastropub anywhere near Bluffton/HHI. Beer selection is incredible, service is always great, the owners are super nice and my family and I have shared many special occasions there. Love how they've expanded their menu and how they allow modifications. The bar is very clean and there are at least for TVs if you want to watch the games. Everybody is always having a good time and a grear lunch or dinner.

Craft Kitchen was a perfect find for us. Starting with the look of the building on the outside and in. It was so cute and modern. Loved the different seating options available, as well as the large my bar. We were greeted and seated as soon as we came in by the friendly ladies. Plenty of TVs to watch sports, cats, news, etc. We didn't want to be gluttonous and ordered the double Smash burger with fries, and an Arugula salad as well to share. Without even asking our attentive server knew to split our order up in to two servings which made for a perfect meal. The burger was cooked just right, the fries were delicious and the arugula salad is definitely one that we will come back for. Great experience in this small group, or family friendly establishment. We'll be back (in our terminator voice).

Fried pickles

The food and service were a great experience! We were seated quickly and our waitress was kind. She helped my husband find a beer that he would like and allowed him to try a recommendation she had. We decided to order fried pickles as an appetizer and they were delicious! I decided to order the spicy chicken sandwich and my husband got the sweet and spicy island burger and both were so delicious! The fries were seasoned well and tasted delicious as well. The inside consisted of tables and a long bar. The next time we are in this area, we will come back again.

Great little spot. Bartenders/servers were attentive and polite. Had the cheesesteak and enjoyed it.

Great place for lunch in Old Town Bluffton area. Large selection of beers. Small, but quaint.

I was looking forward to lunch here and everything was a bit cold. The air condition was on high too so that may be why.

Stopped into Cotton & Rye with my wife for dinner while in Savannah…read more My wife had the striped bass with sweet potatoes and flash fried broccolini, and I had the trout with crab rice. Both dishes were very well prepared and felt thoughtfully put together without trying too hard. The fish on both plates was cooked correctly, portions were solid, and flavors worked well together. With my wife's gluten and dairy allergy, plus my tree nut allergy, Alpha-Gal, and diabetes, we're usually a decent stress test for a kitchen. Staff handled questions professionally and didn't make ordering feel complicated. Atmosphere strikes a nice balance--upscale enough for a date night or business dinner, but still relaxed and comfortable. Service was attentive without hovering. Good for: dates, business meals Probably not ideal for: small children

The kindness and helpfulness of all of the staff from the moment we came in until we left was almost worth the experience itself. In a time where good service can be touch and go with dining, this stands out as exceptional for service. Our waiter was on top of taking great care of us the whole time, and brought a nice anniversary cookie to us to celebrate. He even added candy bars to our take home boxes as a special treat. The food was excellent. We almost loved the sides more than anything else that we tried. We shared and highly enjoyed the roasted brussels, broccolini, and cheese grits. The wings had a unique flavor. If you are used to buffalo wings, it's not quite like that taste. It is more of a spicy barbecue mixed with a little bit of Asian influence, but I'd say worth a try. The fried chicken was fresh and enjoyable. I especially appreciated the taste of the Mac and cheese. If you like Mac and cheese, it's very well done and worth a taste. The layout of the restaurant is great. Not a bad table or place anywhere. It can be a little noisy if very busy, but it died down while we were there as some started leaving. Definitely get reservations ahead of time like we did. 5 stars. Thanks for a great evening.

The Grouper and Wagyu Burger were outstanding. Drinks: 8.5/10 We originally ordered a bottle of wine, but it took them about 30 minutes to inform us they didn't have it. This happened after one appetizer had already arrived, with no update on the bottle's availability. They do offer an ok selection of cocktails and non-alcoholic drinks, but the wait was a bit long. Service: 5/10 The service just wasn't good. Besides the long wait for the wine update, food took forever to come out. We even had an appetizer arrive after our main entrees. Overall, the food was incredible, but the service definitely needs improvement.

It was dimly lit and had a warm, inviting atmosphere and our server was awesome! To start, we all got the cucumber blossom cocktail. I got mine with tequila and the server was very knowledgeable about the drinks and the liquors that would work well with each one. We decided the best route for us was to split 2 apps and 2 entrees. For appetizers, we went with the focaccia and the crispy brussel sprouts. Both were AMAZING! I always love bread to start a meal. And the Brussels were nice and soaked in balsamic glaze, which maybe diminished the "crispy" in the title... but I didn't mind because they were delicious. For our entrees, we went with the gnocchi and the catfish served over grits. I would say the standout was the catfish. The gnocchi was good, but not as good as the other dishes we had. Overall we had a great experience splurging a bit on a nice meal. I would definitely recommend getting a reservation on the weekends. They seemed to be busy!

Hi Everyone, So…read moreyou're dressed for the concert and maybe your seeing and are anticipating your delight while you listen to John Cougar Mellencamp, KC and the Sunshine Band, Chicago, Joe Bonamassa, Steve Martin and Martin Short, or the Motown All-Stars (e.g. "Holy Mackerel Ethel, we have to check out the Johnny Mercer, it's got some great shows." Rolling her eyes as if to say, who knew? As she has been saying this for years, as she utters, "Good idea, Geddes.") at the Johnny Mercer Theatre that starts at 7:30 PM. But where to eat, how to get to the restaurant, and back to theatre on time for the concert while making it easy, no stress, fun, relaxing, taste enthralling, thrilling, care free, laid back, exciting, entertaining, safe, and logistically possible? Well, let's see Sweetpea. How about we arrive at 4:30 PM, and park at the Liberty Street Parking garage, right accross the street from the Johnny Mercer Theatre. Easy, check. Next we get an Uber to the Six Pence Pub. Why? No stress, check. We start our meal, with one of their adventuresome, tasty, cocktails which are all fantastic. "But how about getting to the Concert?" Right now, we're having some fun hanging out with our friends and catching up. Fun, check. Please remember Poindexter (I.e. my name for my conscience), we're not driving until after the concert is over which leaves us about five hours to recover from our cocktail before dinner, or two, you Devil you! Relaxing, check. We next get to experience eating some of the most delicious food in Savannah, GA. From the Crab Cake, to the Scotch Eggs, to the Smoked Salmon to their bombastic Broiled Portabella, their appetizers were both savory and palette pleasing. Then our companions had their outstanding, tastebud tintilating, French Onion and Chicken Noddle soups which are both made from scratch. Yea, yea, French Onion and Chicken Noodle soup, big deal. If you have not had it, I am here to tell you, there is nothing ordinary about either, as both were very delicious. We then dined on their Open Roast Beef, their Tender Pot Roast, their Atlantic Salmon all of which offered a very pleasing, tremendous taste in their own right. However, the Broiled flounder stuffed with shrimp and scallops was so exceptional, we ordered another two of these entrees so we could all share this dish as part of each of our meals. Taste enthralling, check. Please note, I did not write the words, "Pub Food" above as the Six Pence Pub's fare will thrill your tastebuds right down to the last morsel. Thrilling, check. Our Server was exceptional, timely, and personable. Care free, check. Our ambience was simply Pub delightful! Laid back, check. But then the bill came and lo and behold our friend had to stand and do a little Irish jig, or did he have to go to the bathroom?... Nah, it was the very reasonable pricing that pleased us all as we scampered to catch our Uber. No, wait a minute, we did not dine and dash. We would never dine and dash. We tipped our Server handsomely, paid our bill, and then we all scampered to catch our Uber as we were all feeling wonderful. Exciting, check. We made the show with twenty-five minutes to spare, which left us enough time to buy our lovely dinner companions a show Tee Shirt to memorialize our evening together. Our show was extremely entertaining which thrilled us all, to no end. Thanks Steve and Martin, you're the best! Thrilling, and entertaining, double check. Logic dictates that when we were able to throughly enjoy our evening while having an easy, no stress, fun, relaxing, taste enthralling, thrilling, care free, laid back, exciting, entertaining time that it is, in fact, logistically possible. Logistically possible, check. And yes, we were safely able to enjoy our ride home while we all talked about how much we enjoyed our evening together. Safe, check. So what is the acronym or memory mnemonic here? ENSFRTETCFLBEESL But how do you pronounce it? Ya'll figure it out. I did almost all the work here in writing this review, lol. Enjoy!

Ambiance is prohibition bar vibes so a little more rustic and casual. I was a bit annoyed by the hostess. We had a reservation for our party of 6 and arrived about 15 minutes early. I asked if we could grab drinks at the bar and she kept coming up with excuses on why we couldn't stand or sit in certain areas. Finally, I just asked her to come up with a solution because we had 15 minutes to kill and they didn't have a waiting area. Funny enough, she decided then to get our table ready. It was just odd. Our server was from Ukraine so she was efficient and fast. Not super friendly or chatty with us which missed the mark on Southern hospitality and made our experience feel cold compared to our previous dinner experiences in town. I don't fault her for it though as she did her job. We ordered an excessive amount of starters and some of the entrees. The stand outs for me was the crispy Brussels sprouts, roasted bone marrow, steamed mussels, and grilled octopus. Skip any of the bread options. They weren't even toasted. For entrees, we also decided to share them. The pork chop and NY strip were stand outs. We ended up sending back the halibut. It tasted mealy and freeze burnt. Skip the crispy Japanese eggplant. I was expecting a grilled dish and it was actually fried with a thick batter. Too heavy for my liking. Overall, we enjoyed our meal but not somewhere I am dying to go back to.
