Wow, I didn't expect this place to be so good. I reviewed some of the comments and I don't know why they were not good. So here's a good one. I was fortunate to be close to this place because many places in the area are closed on Sundays or closed early, so it was a plus that this place was nearby. It was really busy, but it moved very quickly since it was only me I sat at the bar section. Everyone was really kind and helpful. They were also playing good music in the background everything that I ordered was deliciousand I ordered a quinoa, coconut pudding, pancakes, peanut butter toast, and a kale salad to go. I really enjoyed eating here and will definitely come back again. The servers are all so kind including the customers so if you're in the Beaufort, SC area come check it out for yourself.

First watch is what I would call a trendy or hipster brunch place. If you like whole grain all natural food then this is the place for you. Lots of veggies, greens, great coffee and morning drinks like mimosas. The service was ok. They are understaffed and running a little behind but it wasn't that bad of a wait for the food. Make sure you go online and get in the online wait list before you drive over as sometimes the line can be 30-45 mins long. We started with the holey donuts, they were warm, soft, and delicious. They also come with a chocolate sauce and a berry jam but they are great just on their own. The wife got the market hash. She said it was good. I got the ham and Gruyère omelette. It was big, the eggs were light and fluffy, and it had a good flavor. The potatoes were just a tad tough in the middle like they were taken off just a minute or two too soon but also tasted good. Not much in the way of seasoning but it had a good natural flavor. That whipped butter on the toast was fantastic and it comes with a house made seasonal berry preserve to put on top. Overall I would say it's a great place for brunch with a large variety of options for everyone even the meat eaters like myself but the all natural food crowd would really love this as a brunch place for fresh whole food.

Best breakfast place ever! Along with the best service thank you, Dionne !!!

I really do enjoy the food choices at First watch but what I don't like is having my food served on the cool side with no silverware to eat it. My drink going dry and taken for a refill and put to the side while our waitress takes others orders and delivers their drinks. Imagine ordering a hash with peppers or jalapeño crème without having something to drink? This is the my second visit here with this particular waitress, she never writes things down, forgets the simple things and acts "busy". If I return I will ask to sit in someone else's area.

My mother is totally blind and has worked with service dogs from The Seeing Eye for over 30 years. She and my father approached the hostess to be seated, with her service dog clearly wearing identification. The hostess immediately told them they were not allowed to enter the restaurant with the dog. My mother calmly explained that the dog is a legally protected service animal and showed her official ID. Despite this, the hostess continued to refuse entry. After my father dialed the police to report the denial of access, the hostess returned and said the manager had now approved their entry (the manager never came out) -- but they would have to wait to be seated even though other patrons were being seated immediately. At that point, another patron who had overheard the entire exchange spoke up. She was visibly offended by what she had witnessed and graciously offered my parents her table as it was called. Her kindness was the bright spot in an otherwise upsetting situation. Once seated, our waitress was wonderful -- kind, attentive, and professional. The food was good as well. However, by then, the damage was done. What should have been a pleasant family meal became a stressful and emotional experience. Losing our appetite was inevitable after watching my mother be treated in a way that was not only hurtful, but unlawful. I hope management uses this experience as an opportunity to properly train staff on service animal laws and disability access. No family should have to endure what ours did just to enjoy a meal out.

Coast Roast had it all! We both had Irish Cream syrup, and it was the perfect latte. Just enough milk with great bean flavor and great syrup addition. We found parking right on Paris Ave (perfect spot to start our journey) but as we got out of the truck, we noticed Harbour Village with a true throwback vibe (as soon as I noticed the huge vintage gas station sign)... and there at the side of the road was Corner Perk. The place is so enticing on the outside (white and red building with open deck with plenty of seating)... we decided to check it out and the inside was just as pleasant. Lots of wood trim and colorful accents and the girls that welcomed us in were "perky" (no pun intended). My wife got a LAVENDER HONEY LATTE and I got a CHURRO LATTE. We noticed they had lots of breakfast options (omelettes, quiche, skillets, breakfast burritos, baked goodies and more). We didn't get any but we were tempted. We sat outside and enjoyed out coffees; my wife loved her latte and my Churro was sweet and delicious... and off we went for our hike thru the Cypress Wetlands. Afterward, I reminded my wife how good some of the bakery stuff looked so we ventured back in for round two... This time I had an Iced Cold Brew (can't recall if any special flavor) and we also got a couple items to snack on.... we shared a over the top, super rick BROWNIE and we also got a slice of BANANA BREAD (both were excellent).

I was not entirely sure what a "waffle pop" would turn out to be, but I ended up with two of them in an order, freshly made and topped with one fruit and one sauce of choice. Getting bananas with blueberry sauce was a good choice, one of many I expect. My strawberry matcha with boba was compromised by them running out of strawberry boba, but the regular tapioca balls did just fine soaked in a robustly flavored beverage. Their donut selection was appealing, but I simply did not have room. It would be tough to get out of there without getting a ton of sugar, and this place did not seem to have a ton for the more niche special dietary needs. However, it did have a lot of interesting messaging as a community space, with resources directed towards military families in particular, which moves me to look favorably on the place. And their stuff is delicious.

My web search for coffee found this place just a couple hundred feet from my hotel, opening in just…read more5 minutes (7:00). So I walked over. It was not at all what I expected in a strip mall near a chain hotel. What a cheerful place, the walls yellow, the windows decorated with big bright suns, the menu boards artfully illustrated, kitchy motivational signs everywhere. I was greeted with a geniality matching the overall vibe by a woman whom it was apparent was the owner. I complimented her on the name "Sunny Summers". She told me it was named after her two daughters. There was a young girl working with her so I asked her if she was Sunny or Summer. She didn't say anything. As it turned out she was neither - just an unrelated employee. I had only come in for a cup of coffee but I saw the donuts and couldn't resist. Many of them were outrageous sugar bombs - and beautiful to look at. But I settled on a more sedate cinnamon-sugar. Glad I did. It was fried to order then dusted with the topping and served not in a bag but in a cute box sized just right for the single. So when I ate it in the car 5 minutes later it was still warm, and fresh as can be. Does she always do this or was it because I arrived just after opening? Unsure, but it was a spectacularly good donut. The coffee, too, was excellent. Strong, no bitterness or sourness, and from a local independent roaster. The other foods mostly fit in the category of sweet indulgences: donuts with crazy toppings, "waffle pops", french toast. A few lunch items like panini. The burger offering was made with pancakes rather than the traditional bun! Now a few words about the proprietor. I was astonished by her outfit that left little to the imagination. At 7 in the morning! It was hard to keep my eyes where they belonged but I managed! (Sorry, I have no photos, for obvious reasons.) I realized later, when I did more research on the place, that this was part of her shtick, playing off her reputation as retired professional wrestler Lacey Evans. Before that she was in the Marine Corps serving in the military police force. An interesting choice of careers for sure. There's a board with prepaid receipts that the less-fortunate can use to get food. That's great. I wish I had known about it when I was there, not later during my research. I would definitely have prepaid a meal. Also, discounts for military and first responders. Not necessarily how I would do things but I know her intentions were good. The world needs more places like this. So a plea to anyone reading this: You may not be able to give up your Dunkin and Starbucks completely, as I have. But just try it for a month, or even a week: next time you need a fix check Google or Yelp for independent coffee shops, try something different, even if you have to go a little out of your way. You may just discover a new favorite hangout.
