With just a few tweaks to the menu this can be a 5 star experience! I was looking forward to coming here after looking at some of the reviews online as well as some of the photos with it being along the water. Unfortunately, on the day that I visited, it was pretty rainy and wet, which made the views not as ideal, however, it was still a great experience. I enjoyed the painkiller, and we also ordered a lemoncello spritz, which was fantastic! We both opted for something quick and went for a fried shrimp basket and fried flounder for me the shrimp was pretty good well seasoned and well battered the cocktail sauce was amazing and very horseradish forward, which is my preference unfortunately the batter on the fish fell off and the fish itself didn't seem seasoned so the flavor was lacking. I think it would be worth revamping their offerings a bit but absolutely a cool spot and I'd go again! read more

Ambiance was great. This hidden gem was tucked away in an inconspicuous marina hidden in a very nice neighborhood that you would never even know was there. The space itself reminds me of my time in Key West. Large roll up garage door walls give way to a beautiful large patio with waterfront views as it's tucked deep into the brush and trees. It was a very pleasant place to visit for sure and the environment is very welcoming. The service was good. The waitress was a little slow to get to us but she was busy and still managed to keep the drinks full and the meal flowing at a good pace. We decided to try the chips and queso. It was good. Not too much or too filling. Had a good flavor. It was brought out fast so we had plenty of time to snack and chat. Wife enjoyed the bbq brisket. Had a wonderful flavor and was nice and fatty just like she likes. For those that prefer something less fatty they do offer a pulled pork sandwich, we just subbed in the brisket. She got the Carolina gold bbq sauce which she enjoyed and the kettle chips were great too. I got the Capt. Ron's Cuban. It was wonderful. I haven't had a sandwich that good in a long time. Not since we moved here from the Florida Keys. Nice warm Cuban pork and ham with lots of mustard and Swiss with actual pressed Cuban bread. It was fantastic with lots of flavor. It looks a little small but we both felt nice and full after clearing our plates. A good balance of not too much and not too little food. Just right for the price. (Even if I did want a few more bites of that sandwich). Oh the Mac and cheese was good. Homemade. Same with the sweet tea, hand made not store bought or pre-mixed. Very good. Lovely atmosphere and attententive service. It's a quaint little restaurant tucked away off the main road. The property, however, is on the water with lovely views. The shrimp scampi pasta was delicious. Best of all, the chef removed the tails from the shrimp. No more digging through the pasta to take off the tails. read more

Ordered a sandwich and blackened shrimp. Took over half an hour to come out at 1 pm. Was really bummed because I should have looked more closely at the menu...wanted Caribbean food. Marker became a quick favorite of our, their French fries are the best around! I fell head over heels for their buffalo shrimp! I haven't had anything there I don't like, only thing I would change is the grilled cheese, it's non traditional, it's made with mozzarella cheese sticks in between the bread. We love coming to the small establishment that sits on the water as you go over the bridge. The view of the water, the boats, and the bridge are next level! We did have to wait about 15 to 20 minutes to get seated but it was worth it. I love that they offer a unique selection of cider spritzers, specifically the Noble brand. The orange and jasmine tea is everything. I love getting the shrimp basket because the crispy crunchy exterior is perfect. There is both indoor and outdoor seating but the doors to the outside normally stay up (when we've gone). There is a heater at each of the outdoor tables if you go in the winter. read more

Marker 244 is a true hidden gem. I say hidden because I passed the turn into the restaurant twice. The cocktails were very tasty and the low key atmosphere seems ok for casual shorts and up. My family came in for a week. Wanted to take my dad out for his birthday for lunch. We planned on going to fish camp but were upset to find out they were closed for renovations. What started out as upset, turned into overwhelmed with pure happiness, excitement, and almost a tear of joy. My dad is a diabetic so when we found out fish camp was closed, he told me to find the closest seafood place because he was hungry. This place popped up on my gps. Went there not expecting much since it doesn't draw attention like the big seafood names around here. Well I'll be the first to tell you that all our low expectations were blown out the window. We all got the fish and shrimp basket with fries. I believe they fry the fish/shrimp and then put what seemed like lemon juice, Parmesan and pepper. Never had fish the way they make it. It was different, but all 3 of us were very pleased. My dad said it was one of his favorite seafood places he's had. We went at lunch and I'm pretty sure shrimp, fish, and fries was only $13 before tax and the portions were plenty for lunch. Eat much more and you'd rather float in the river out back than go back to work. Long story short, I'll definitely be back. One of my favorites in Beaufort. read more

I received a teaspoon and immediately asked the waitress for a soup spoon.She didn't know what one was, but checked with the kitchen to no avail. What a beautiful view! Decided to stop by for some lunch on a Saturday afternoon. Glad I did! We decided to sit out by the water since it's right on the marina. The inside looked really nice too. The menu was a little over priced and pretty basic. But that's what I was expecting. I ordered the shrimp basket and the fish blt sandwich. Both were very good and fresh. It also came with a ton of fries. There was nothing special about it but it was still a good meal. This would definitely be a nice love to come for a cocktail and look out at the water. Beautiful views and wonderful outdoor space. My wife and I had lunch here to enjoy some outdoor time and it is exactly what we were seeking. The service was great and both the hostess and our waitress were good southern charmers. The food was as expected. It was good, but not great.
