Lone Wolf Lounge was our last stop of the night and we definitely had fun. This felt way more like a locals spot than the other bars. It's right around the corner from a few other neighborhood bars, so it's a great locale to do a little bar crawl. Multiple bartenders at other bars told us to go to Lone Wolf. Savannah doesn't really have a true gay bar, but this place kind of fills the void. We're glad we found it. read more

I started my night at Water Witch Tiki (reviewed separately), where the bar tender said Lone Wolf is his favorite bar in Savannah and where he goes when he's off work. It's definitely a cool place--dimly lit, cheesy velvet art on the walls, green pleather and 70's decor. I would love this place if it was a little less crowded, and maybe on some nights it is, but this night was bursting at the seams! Bar tenders stayed on top of it despite the crowd. I had the Zippah, made with gin and lemon with absinthe. Great little cocktail that is said to be amazing with oysters. I also had their daiquiri (called glamorous life), which met the definition of classic. I think if I go back (hopefully on a less crowded night), I would try the Sunshine Superman, described as floral celery and apple sour. As I previously said in another review, this spot is just a couple hundred feet from Moodright's and less than half a mile from Water Witch and the main Starland drag, so you could make a night of it. read more

We had a great time at the Lone Wolf Lounge. We were greeted inside and sat at the bar. There's a lot of Tiki drinks and there's Tiki vibes all the way through. We ordered drinks and I went with their version of a Painkiller with some substitutions as recommended by the very knowledgeable bartender. The drinks did not disappoint. It was a cold December night and the beverage was a good way to warm the soul and body. The very interesting thing was what they had a TV in the middle of the bar and they had playing a random channel that takes place in the backyard of a house somewhere in the Carolinas where there's a bunch of animal feeds and different animals walk around and hang out and eat in the backyard and it's all streamed live. It was a great third stop to the night and we recommend the tiki drinks. read more

This is a frequent hangout spot for my friends and has cost friendly drinks. The staff is always amazing and I love that they host movie nights and art sometimes. This bar is an awesome neighborhood bar. It was a short walk from our Airbnb. They had local bands playing music outside and a great selection of beers to drink. Local "Speakeasy" prohibition type vibe! Laid back atmosphere, AMAZING Whiskey Sours!!!! They use real egg whites and hand shaken w bitters! Cool relaxed vibe. Hang in the bar area or head through to the multiple smaller rooms. My group of 5 sat in a room and chilled. While on a mission to find an actual speakeasy in Savannah, I failed multiple times. Dimly lit bars: sure. Tiki drinks: yep. But I wanted a bar that made me feel like I was making a mistake. A place that when I walk up, I say to myself "this can't be right." Folks, I was successful. Line Wolf Lounge is in the Starland area in what used to be an old house. From all outward appearances, one would assume it still is, save for a simple "LWL" plaque on the outer door. Once inside, the lounge is a fun mix of tiki drinks, wood paneling and some 60's esque furniture. Awesome. Stuff drinks and decent prices and an incredible way to beat the heat. read more

It was super busy but we had a great time with good drinks! An interesting and cozy little cocktail bar in what seems like a fun neighborhood. I had this place bookmarked before our trip because I knew we would be in the area and I wanted some options on deck for the inevitable change of location. It was obscenely busy, but we were happy to deal with that. The bartenders were ON IT, handling the crazy number of patrons all wanting a drink. Unfortunately because of the large crowd, there wasn't much chance to explore the cocktail menu, but that was understandable. I opted for a canned cocktail, until a companion ordered an old fashioned and let me try it...and it was fantastic. So I quickly changed to that for the rest of my visit here. We were eventually able to snag a booth to huddle around, and we really had a grand gosh dang time. I would happily return here again on a future visit to the City! read more

It's in an old dentist's office. Cool spot. Very interesting decor. Like another reviewer said, "Blink and you'll miss it." Once you're in, with a a drink and a table it's cozy. Very eclectic crowd. Can get very busy so a little difficult to get the bartender's attention from time to time but no fault of theirs, they are moving and grooving. The tunes are right. What a Gem! As we were strolling this area of Savannah, we had just wrapped up dinner and were in need of some cocktails to help settle ourselves after meals. Dude, this place is cool. It's way off the beaten path in a residential area, and basically in a house. The unassuming entrance is on Lincoln street. The inside is super bada**; it looks like grandpas 1950s basement or some old- elks lodge. The decor is amazingly rando, and the the drinks are strong and creative. Something that would make this awesome place "excellent" is consistent friendliness from bar staff. One bartender was super cool and helpful; another was direct and non-conversational. As a single traveler, I felt that the clique-ness of this spot is both an asset (because it is a locals joint), and a liability. Hidden gem. I went a few times at the end of last year, once really close to Christmas. The hot toddy they had on the menu was the perfect drink on a cold night. I love this bar for a lot of reasons: the decor, the bartenders, the layout, the craft into their drinks. If you're in the area look for the Lone Wolf sign , and go in 1 of 2 doors (facing Lincoln and one faces a parking lot with a beautiful oak). It's unassuming and perfect.
