Excellent bar. Chill vibes. Beautiful decor. Incredible cocktails made by a talented staff. New favorite place in Savannah

Malik and the two selections of whiskey we drank. Loved this place!

This place rocks! Although it has a very unassuming presence from the outside and its storefront entry, once you walk in the vibe is an elegant and sophisticated environment. Malik greeted us as we entered. The bar and lighted shelves with at least 100 choices of whiskey...and yes, there were other liquors as well. I inquired on a few bottles that I didn't recognize, Malik gave me a small taste of each. I loved that! I ordered '2 fingers' of each whiskey served neat. Malik recommended with both whiskies I try it over ice. So he also gave me a beautiful ice rock in a tumbler to try drinking each whisky since they were both higher in alcohol. This was a super nice touch. The Whiskey was welcoming to outsiders, a sophisticated but not stuffy environment, great music playing, and LOTS of great whiskeys to enjoy. If I lived in Savannah, Malik and I would be hanging out on a regular basis drinking fine whiskey! Whiskey lovers have to try this place.

The numerous 5 star reviews don't lie - we visited this place twice on our trip to Savannah and would've gone a third time if they'd been open! Loved the twists they put on some originals and their creations -the almond joy was my favorite and the perfect blend of flavors without being too sweet. We'll be back next time we're in town!

This is a swanky place with great character. Plenty of places to sit by the bar, by the TV, or outside. I only ventured to the top floor. Service was great as well.

22 November 2025. I believe I was a subject of racial profiling here last night. Bouncer who told me his name was "Jack" denied me and my coworker entry. Man in the photo attached would not let me in because he said he saw me stumbling up and down the rails earlier that night and I was too inebriated to enter. I asked him what he was talking about, I hadn't been there yet all evening as we just left our hotel room. I asked if it was another Asian guy just looked like and he doubled down saying it was definitely me. I asked him to check the security camera time 745pm on 22 November 2025 or better yet, breathalyze me. He refused. And called four other gentlemen to back him up. My coworker is an African American man and I am Asian and we felt very unwelcome. No facts he made were substantiated by evidence. I was excited to show my coworker this place place I found and had been coming to for the past year as evident by the previous positive review I made a year ago. All the bouncers but one was reasonable and professional but at the end of the day refused our entry and service. I took this photo to document our negative interaction and the bouncer with a full beard and mustache then told me that I was banned from all their establishments. I encourage the owner to educate this young man and train him on decision-making, analytical skills, de-escalation skills. A bit of emotional intelligence will go a long way to this gentleman here. It would do wonders for your business and clientele. Please CHECK your surveillance camera for all the facts. I'm also happy to discuss further. -Vince Thiengtrong *previously posted on Google Review in November 2024. Andrew makes amazing cocktails (had the old fashion and penicilin). He takes great pride and care in his craft the the customer service is top notch. Ever since I found this place I stopped going to the Alley Cat. I've been back here three times now and I will be back every time I visit Savannah.

Great drinks and even better service! Buck was the absolute best!!! Going back for sure!!!

We are visiting Savannah and stumbled on this place! Fantastic! Buck the bartender made the experience even better!!!

We came here for my birthday drinks and it was so much fun!!! What such a vibe! It was packed when we went but we were able to find a spot in the back. We had Bourbon Bramble and the Blue Lavender Daiquiri and Espresso Martini's. They were all wonderful but the Bourbon Bramble was the best!!! The bartender was really nice and really cool to talk with we can't wait to come here again!

I can't remember what this drink was called but it was delicious

Malik was absolutely wonderful. He had a vast knowledge of whiskeys and alcohol in general. He was so polite and funny. Definitely made our 2+ hour visit worth it. The atmosphere was very comfortable, and clean. We were so impressed with the selections. We will definitely be back to see him and visit!

    Great whiskey bar.

We visited The Whiskey both nights we were in Savannah. Great old fashions, ambiance, service and they know their Whiskey and how to create a great time!

Saigon Cafe on Waters Ave. closed, and that was the last place I knew in Savannah that served that exquisite, clear soup. I always get chicken soup (pho ga). The new owners are doing good work, but I'd been spoiled. The broth doesn't have the depth, and it isn't hot enough. It's gotta come smoking, fogging glasses, clearing sinuses. But Boomy's brings the broth. I've been there two or three times, and it's my new pho go-to. The noodles are wider than At Saigon Cafe, but that's fine; they hold their bite longer without getting mushy. Please note: Boomy's is a bar on Congress Street in Downtown Savannah. It's wheelchair accessible and laid back. A Dad out with his two young boys asked if one kid could use the bathroom and was welcomed ... no purchase, no hesitation. And a lady in a wheelchair with her companion and her dog ducked in for a soft drink and a rest. Everyone's welcome. Nothing about its façade or dive-bar vibe suggests it serves bangin' Vietnamese food. Waitstaff is quick to show you the burger menu on the back, in case pho isn't your jam. Because they serve Thai food as well, they're careful to have you choose your heat level. They're happy to give you pepper flakes on the side and Sriracha at the table. But my pho didn't need it. My lunch companion got the rare beef pho. The hot soup came with thin slices of beef wrapping in foil on the side. Drop it in and it cooks. Looked delicious. My pho ga was amazing. I rarely can eat it all, but I did that day. My only minor complaint is that the bean sprouts looked a little less than fresh, but I'm not a big fan of them in soup anyway. Didn't slow me up one bit. But I AM a big fan of their cucumber and tomato salad. Cukes, chopped tomatoes, grated carrots, and maybe grated radish were all dressed with fish sauce, maybe rice vinegar, and a little sugar. If I'd had some cilantro I would have added it; cilantro is expensive these days. Can't blame them for not including it. It may be available by request. Oh, and try the cocktails. I had the tequila cooler and subbed watermelon vodka for cucumber vodka. So refreshing. Go to Boomy's. Get there on one of the few remaining cool days of spring. Or if you come down with a spring cold. Or if you work downtown in an office meat locker, go to warm up from the inside out. It's worth the hunt for parking.

A few drops over each oyster completely transformed them.. bright, briny, and incredibly clean. They were absolutely exceptional. I would come back just for those alone. We then had the whole grilled snapper at The Grey, generously stuffed with herbs (mostly Italian parsley). It was beautifully cooked, perfectly seasoned, and carried that quiet confidence of a kitchen that knows exactly what it's doing. For a side, we chose the smashed potatoes, which were a standout in their own right, crispy edges with a soft, fluffy interior. Comforting, well-executed, and easy to keep reaching for. The space itself adds a lot to the experience: a thoughtfully repurposed former Greyhound bus station that feels stylish and warm without trying too hard. Service was excellent throughout.. attentive, well-paced, and seamless from start to finish. Overall, a memorable meal with a strong sense of balance, restraint, and care in every detail.

Looking around at the tables around us nothing really caught our eye after reading the menu, we didn't want to leave since we were able to get reservations so we got some starters and shareables. There was a couple next to us who was having the same dilemma after over hearing their conversation. The kale salad was okay but a little bitter for my liking and the potato soup had a thick layer of oil on the top which looked intentional but wasn't our cup of tea. The cornbread and mashed potatoes were good but nothing crazy in our opinion to write home about. Service was okay on our end, once our waiter realized we weren't getting any main entrees it felt like he ghosted us with no water until our food came out and then never came back to check in on us until he brought the check. We are going to try to come again next time we are in town in hopes we have a better experience and different menu!
