Excellent bar. Chill vibes. Beautiful decor. Incredible cocktails made by a talented staff. New favorite place in Savannah

Malik and the two selections of whiskey we drank. Loved this place!

This place rocks! Although it has a very unassuming presence from the outside and its storefront entry, once you walk in the vibe is an elegant and sophisticated environment. Malik greeted us as we entered. The bar and lighted shelves with at least 100 choices of whiskey...and yes, there were other liquors as well. I inquired on a few bottles that I didn't recognize, Malik gave me a small taste of each. I loved that! I ordered '2 fingers' of each whiskey served neat. Malik recommended with both whiskies I try it over ice. So he also gave me a beautiful ice rock in a tumbler to try drinking each whisky since they were both higher in alcohol. This was a super nice touch. The Whiskey was welcoming to outsiders, a sophisticated but not stuffy environment, great music playing, and LOTS of great whiskeys to enjoy. If I lived in Savannah, Malik and I would be hanging out on a regular basis drinking fine whiskey! Whiskey lovers have to try this place.

The numerous 5 star reviews don't lie - we visited this place twice on our trip to Savannah and would've gone a third time if they'd been open! Loved the twists they put on some originals and their creations -the almond joy was my favorite and the perfect blend of flavors without being too sweet. We'll be back next time we're in town!

This is a swanky place with great character. Plenty of places to sit by the bar, by the TV, or outside. I only ventured to the top floor. Service was great as well.

Great drinks and even better service! Buck was the absolute best!!! Going back for sure!!!

We came here for my birthday drinks and it was so much fun!!! What such a vibe! It was packed when we went but we were able to find a spot in the back. We had Bourbon Bramble and the Blue Lavender Daiquiri and Espresso Martini's. They were all wonderful but the Bourbon Bramble was the best!!! The bartender was really nice and really cool to talk with we can't wait to come here again!

I can't remember what this drink was called but it was delicious

Malik was absolutely wonderful. He had a vast knowledge of whiskeys and alcohol in general. He was so polite and funny. Definitely made our 2+ hour visit worth it. The atmosphere was very comfortable, and clean. We were so impressed with the selections. We will definitely be back to see him and visit!

    Great whiskey bar.

We visited The Whiskey both nights we were in Savannah. Great old fashions, ambiance, service and they know their Whiskey and how to create a great time!

I'd been desperate for pho, the simple but amazing Vietnamese soup whose broth takes almost a whole…read moreday, several pounds of beef and beef bones, and the chef's full freaking attention, if it's done right. Saigon Cafe on Waters Ave. closed, and that was the last place I knew in Savannah that served that exquisite, clear soup. I always get chicken soup (pho ga). The new owners are doing good work, but I'd been spoiled. The broth doesn't have the depth, and it isn't hot enough. It's gotta come smoking, fogging glasses, clearing sinuses. But Boomy's brings the broth. I've been there two or three times, and it's my new pho go-to. The noodles are wider than At Saigon Cafe, but that's fine; they hold their bite longer without getting mushy. Please note: Boomy's is a bar on Congress Street in Downtown Savannah. It's wheelchair accessible and laid back. A Dad out with his two young boys asked if one kid could use the bathroom and was welcomed ... no purchase, no hesitation. And a lady in a wheelchair with her companion and her dog ducked in for a soft drink and a rest. Everyone's welcome. Nothing about its façade or dive-bar vibe suggests it serves bangin' Vietnamese food. Waitstaff is quick to show you the burger menu on the back, in case pho isn't your jam. Because they serve Thai food as well, they're careful to have you choose your heat level. They're happy to give you pepper flakes on the side and Sriracha at the table. But my pho didn't need it. My lunch companion got the rare beef pho. The hot soup came with thin slices of beef wrapping in foil on the side. Drop it in and it cooks. Looked delicious. My pho ga was amazing. I rarely can eat it all, but I did that day. My only minor complaint is that the bean sprouts looked a little less than fresh, but I'm not a big fan of them in soup anyway. Didn't slow me up one bit. But I AM a big fan of their cucumber and tomato salad. Cukes, chopped tomatoes, grated carrots, and maybe grated radish were all dressed with fish sauce, maybe rice vinegar, and a little sugar. If I'd had some cilantro I would have added it; cilantro is expensive these days. Can't blame them for not including it. It may be available by request. Oh, and try the cocktails. I had the tequila cooler and subbed watermelon vodka for cucumber vodka. So refreshing. Go to Boomy's. Get there on one of the few remaining cool days of spring. Or if you come down with a spring cold. Or if you work downtown in an office meat locker, go to warm up from the inside out. It's worth the hunt for parking.

Our waiter, Dan, did a great job walking us through the different oyster options and helping us try a variety instead of just defaulting to one type. Always appreciate a server who actually knows the menu beyond "everything's good." All three of us ended up ordering the grilled red snapper, which was excellent. Fresh, well seasoned, and cooked exactly right. Dan really stood out throughout the meal. Very attentive without hovering, and consistently trying to anticipate needs before we had to ask. Service like that noticeably improves the entire dining experience. Atmosphere is relaxed, comfortable, and very Savannah waterfront in a good way. Overall experience was excellent from start to finish. Good for: casual dates, families, small children, casual business meals

Our Party of 4 waited about 45 minutes for our food. Mine arrived less than lukewarm and I sent it back. Two of us has Cheeseburgers. These arrived hot, but the french fries were Ccold. My wife had a Salmon Cub sandwich which was ok and since her accompaniments Cole slaw, and Salad did not need to be hot her meal was ok. I sent back my poBoy which they never tried to replace. Ordered new hot fries for the burgers. This is a big place which must crank out a ton of food on weekends. We were there for lunch on a slow day. No excuse for what we received. By the way, no Manager stopped by the table, no apology, no nothing! Tourist trap! Better off at a fast food joint.

This place delivers! We had a 6:45 reservation, showed up right on time and were seated immediately. Benjamin introduced himself and helped us find some drinks that we loved, the Polaris and the Castor. After he went over the evening's specials, he helped guide us through our selections for the night. Having some un-inspired oysters earlier in the week, we decided to do two of each of the three oysters of the night. They were perfectly cold, deliciously briny and expertly shucked. We added just a drop of minuet juice but the oysters were so clean and crisp, we didn't want to cover up any of the fresh taste. The winter salad was simple but delicious. The lamb and chicken were both tender and perfectly seasoned. The Wagyu had an amazing crust that added texture to a simple slice of beef and the cornbread dressing with scallops was an original take on familiar flavors playing well off each other. We ended with a lovely olive oil lemon cake. You can feel the love in the ingredients, the presentation and the service at The Grey.

They come as a small plate with three appetizer-sized tacos, and every bite was bright, fresh, and beautifully balanced. The Buddy the Elf Burger offers a choice of a single or double patty; ours was cooked perfectly. The smoky bacon really brought everything together and gave it that extra "wow" factor. We rounded things out with the O Come, All Ye Fried Rice with Hanger Steak, which was another winner -- perfectly cooked, flavorful, and incredibly satisfying. As if the meal wasn't great enough on its own, we happened to be there while Emily Curtis was performing. She's truly incredible and added such a fun, memorable vibe to the day. I'd be remiss not to mention Kevin our server. Go see him. He was great. The whole team works great together.
