Been wanting to go here forever and finally had a chance to check out Abe's on Lincoln. You know those nights when you have tried all the fancy restaurants and bars in the city and you just want a simple beer with a great atmosphere. Well this is it! Inside is very unpretentious and the first thing you will notice is all the little pieces of paper with hand drawn versions of Lincoln on them. While some of them are crude drawings that your little nephew could have drawn, lot of them look like piece of art from former SCAD students. The drinks are cheap and the bartenders are quick and everybody seemed to be having a good time.

When you visit Savannah... and you are 'of age'... definitely make a stop here. Super chill, Super cool joint. Small but with a great vibe. I love all the different drawings of Abe. And if you don't finish your drink... just pour it in a plastic to-go cup before exiting.

Awesome little dive bar in Savannah! The walls are covered in hand drawn pictures of Lincoln, some that are really impressive and creative. Bartender was friendly and my group thoroughly enjoyed our time there. Highly recommend to anyone visiting Savannah and looking for an authentic bar to hang.

A very small historical bar, although not much to see here historically wise. Great drinks and worth stopping in to escape the heat!

    Alagash!

Such a fun stop! It is really busy, but they are quick to get you a drink. It's small, but quaint. You can take your drink to go if you can't find a spot to sit. It's worth going in. Seeing all the drawings was fun and the vibe is great.

We love a great dive bar- and this is a great dive bar. Small, cozy, a million Abe Lincoln drawings. Friendly staff. No food- but that's to be expected.

    My finished masterpiece and others

What a neat place!!! It's a local dive atmosphere small bar. The bartender Steve was awesome! Many previous patrons have drawn their "version" of Abe Lincoln. Clearly the theme. You're handed a small paper & pencil to draw away at will. After you're done you get to post your masterpiece on the wall or ceiling. Casual and comfortable. Would definitely come back. We had a blast here!!

I ADORE a dive bar! And this one had a theme - Abe Lincoln. Makes sense given where the bar is located on lincoln in Savannah, GA. Everything you would expect from a diver bar - noisy, super busy (we got there around 10ish or so), lots of customers moving around the bar, scattering of tables, going for a smoke outside. The big thing about this bar is the many, many, many customer drawings and sketches of Abraham Lincoln in a variety of looks, places, speech bubbles. Drawings lined the walls, ceiling, anywhere a piece of paper could be placed - there was Abe! I loved the lighting. Dimly lit inside but with lots of bright christmas lights of various types scattered around the space. I saw some snacks available for purchase, but you know the kind of food. Basic, salty, crunchy treats to go with booze. A delight! Highly recommend!

Awesome Bar. And the Yuengling is ice cold.

What a nostalgic place to get a beer. I happened to order a Yeingling at the bar, while their sales rep was sitting there. He bought my beers for the rest of the evening.

    Unique spot.

Definitely a neat spot to have a drink. It was fun to see all the creative drawings that dressed the entire bar. Service was not too friendly , but attentive.

This is as close to a no frills dive bar as you're gonna find in the touristy side of Savannah, and we loved it. Small, dark, quiet (when we were there), with thousands of drawings of Abe Lincoln hanging from the ceiling. The bartender (Daddy) was friendly and funny, and quick to refill a thirsty traveler's drink. This was the perfect respite from craziness that increases the closer you get to the river.

Divey little bar hidden away underneath an old house. It's situated on Lincoln and called Abe's because the entire interior (and I do mean the ENTIRE) interior is covered in patron's had drawn pictures of Abraham Lincoln. Floor to ceiling: Honest Abe. Drinks are reasonably priced, service is super friendly and once a week, the mic is open. It became my favorite watering hole on my trip to Savannah. 4 score and 7 beers ago....

Hi Everyone, So…read moreyou're dressed for the concert and maybe your seeing and are anticipating your delight while you listen to John Cougar Mellencamp, KC and the Sunshine Band, Chicago, Joe Bonamassa, Steve Martin and Martin Short, or the Motown All-Stars (e.g. "Holy Mackerel Ethel, we have to check out the Johnny Mercer, it's got some great shows." Rolling her eyes as if to say, who knew? As she has been saying this for years, as she utters, "Good idea, Geddes.") at the Johnny Mercer Theatre that starts at 7:30 PM. But where to eat, how to get to the restaurant, and back to theatre on time for the concert while making it easy, no stress, fun, relaxing, taste enthralling, thrilling, care free, laid back, exciting, entertaining, safe, and logistically possible? Well, let's see Sweetpea. How about we arrive at 4:30 PM, and park at the Liberty Street Parking garage, right accross the street from the Johnny Mercer Theatre. Easy, check. Next we get an Uber to the Six Pence Pub. Why? No stress, check. We start our meal, with one of their adventuresome, tasty, cocktails which are all fantastic. "But how about getting to the Concert?" Right now, we're having some fun hanging out with our friends and catching up. Fun, check. Please remember Poindexter (I.e. my name for my conscience), we're not driving until after the concert is over which leaves us about five hours to recover from our cocktail before dinner, or two, you Devil you! Relaxing, check. We next get to experience eating some of the most delicious food in Savannah, GA. From the Crab Cake, to the Scotch Eggs, to the Smoked Salmon to their bombastic Broiled Portabella, their appetizers were both savory and palette pleasing. Then our companions had their outstanding, tastebud tintilating, French Onion and Chicken Noddle soups which are both made from scratch. Yea, yea, French Onion and Chicken Noodle soup, big deal. If you have not had it, I am here to tell you, there is nothing ordinary about either, as both were very delicious. We then dined on their Open Roast Beef, their Tender Pot Roast, their Atlantic Salmon all of which offered a very pleasing, tremendous taste in their own right. However, the Broiled flounder stuffed with shrimp and scallops was so exceptional, we ordered another two of these entrees so we could all share this dish as part of each of our meals. Taste enthralling, check. Please note, I did not write the words, "Pub Food" above as the Six Pence Pub's fare will thrill your tastebuds right down to the last morsel. Thrilling, check. Our Server was exceptional, timely, and personable. Care free, check. Our ambience was simply Pub delightful! Laid back, check. But then the bill came and lo and behold our friend had to stand and do a little Irish jig, or did he have to go to the bathroom?... Nah, it was the very reasonable pricing that pleased us all as we scampered to catch our Uber. No, wait a minute, we did not dine and dash. We would never dine and dash. We tipped our Server handsomely, paid our bill, and then we all scampered to catch our Uber as we were all feeling wonderful. Exciting, check. We made the show with twenty-five minutes to spare, which left us enough time to buy our lovely dinner companions a show Tee Shirt to memorialize our evening together. Our show was extremely entertaining which thrilled us all, to no end. Thanks Steve and Martin, you're the best! Thrilling, and entertaining, double check. Logic dictates that when we were able to throughly enjoy our evening while having an easy, no stress, fun, relaxing, taste enthralling, thrilling, care free, laid back, exciting, entertaining time that it is, in fact, logistically possible. Logistically possible, check. And yes, we were safely able to enjoy our ride home while we all talked about how much we enjoyed our evening together. Safe, check. So what is the acronym or memory mnemonic here? ENSFRTETCFLBEESL But how do you pronounce it? Ya'll figure it out. I did almost all the work here in writing this review, lol. Enjoy!

We started with the Espresso Martini and non-alcoholic French 75 (my first time) and these were both great. For appetizers, we had the crab croquettes (cakes), escargots and caesar salad. Everything was delicious (including the complimentary bread) , and to our surprise the Caesar salad had a nice crunch with the addition of fried frog leg pieces (if I'm not mistaken). The main entrees were the stars of the night, while we were originally inclined to try their Steak & Frites, our server recommended the steak tips sautéed over mushroom sauce with pasta and this was the perfect match instead of the classical French fries pairing. We also had the Supreme Roasted Chicken with caramelized veggies and everything was cooked to perfection. We did not leave without dessert and tried their Créme Brûlée, and while it was runnier than usual, the flavor was there. We thought it needed more time.
