No frills is a good way to describe it. The porta johns are probably a little better description. Beer menu? Yeah, forget about that. Go to the bar to find out what they really have. Service? Yeah, they do have that. Ambiance? There is a lot of visual candy going on, but I think your level of fun is going to be 100% dependent on who else is there the same time you are.

I, for one, adore a dive bar. This one in particular as quite a fun experience. The walls are covering in stickers, photo, art, signage, and more. A wonder to embrace visit, grab a beer or other drink of your pleasure, and observe. It was a good place for a non local (from Albany, GA) to hangout in a local spot, just off the main touristy areas of Savannah. I ordered my brother his first pickle back, which brought me g(and continues to do so) endless joy. Engaging bartenders who seem to know everyone who walks into the bar. Quick and to the point customer service. Great place for. pint and soaking in the scenery .

Met an old friend for drinks at the best dive bar in Savannah. Two stories with music and karaoke nightly. Reasonable prices on drinks and excellent dive bar decor and signage. They do have indoor bathrooms plus the cleanest port-a-potties in Savannah. This is a locals hang out. They don't have food except on Fried Chicken Fridays during a certain time. Once the chicken is gone it's over. Come support this woman owned pub.

We came for karaoke. We were visiting in town and this was the spot people recommended. Karaoke started at 9pm. WE had a great time, but the karaoke girl did not. She just texted and looked annoyed the whole time. Kind of a vibe killer. Thankfully the bartender was able to drown out the sorrows. Kind of dead but great if you want a private jam session with your buddies. It was a Monday so I bet it's more alive during the week or weekend. Drinks were good, bartenders were nice. Usually karaoke host are lively and get the crowd going and people excited and you wanna tip them. Hopefully she's okay.?

Small instrument bar reminded me of a place called jackpot in DC very college bar meets local hangout kinda vibe. Darts as well!! Bartender was awesome. They had all day happy hour, and she very much yoked it up with the locals as well as the tourists alike felt super comfortable here despite being told this is a college type of far thoroughly enjoyed it as an early 30 something.

I visited on a Friday night. There was a bouncer to check IDs at the door. I walked from my hotel, so I can't answer any questions about parking. The bar is fairly small at the first entrance. I was served quickly by the bartender and I paid cash. Moving on to larger areas of the bar, there is an outdoor courtyard with additional bar service and karaoke. There are a handful of tables with coverings for sun or rain. They were full and I'm comfortable standing. The karaoke jockey was a little grumpy having to direct singers not to hurdle up onto the stage instead of using steps at the side. If he placed his monitor in the center of the gap, it would create a natural suggested barrier even for mildly drunk singers. There's also an upstairs. It also had karaoke and bar service. I spent time up there with a very packed and jacked up enthusiastic crowd. Very enjoyable despite how packed it was. I paid cash all night. Several patrons paid by card a round at a time. I think three separate groups of bridal parties came through the upstairs. One woman came in and quietly sat at the bar. But man when she sang she was phenomenal.

Fun public karaoke bar upstairs. A little grimy but that's the charm of the place. The drinks were cheap and it was a fun night. It wasn't crowded but a decent amount of people.

This was my first time at this bar and I will say, the inside wasn't my style. It was 2 stories and had an outdoor bar. The 2nd floor had karaoke going and one bathroom and people were packed in there like sardines! During COVID. I grabbed a drink and went outside. I will say, these were some of the cheapest drinks I've had in downtown Savannah. A sweet tea vodka and a beer was only $14. Impressive. The outdoor area was spacious, they had a hand washing ratio but all the tables were very dirty. They placed pretty decent music.

It was a great place. There was a live Band, The Gypsy Outlaws. They were fantastic. We will be going there again.

Good bar. They do karaoke every night of the week and it doesn't get as busy as other karaoke bars, which is a plus. Would recommend.

Hi Everyone, So…read moreyou're dressed for the concert and maybe your seeing and are anticipating your delight while you listen to John Cougar Mellencamp, KC and the Sunshine Band, Chicago, Joe Bonamassa, Steve Martin and Martin Short, or the Motown All-Stars (e.g. "Holy Mackerel Ethel, we have to check out the Johnny Mercer, it's got some great shows." Rolling her eyes as if to say, who knew? As she has been saying this for years, as she utters, "Good idea, Geddes.") at the Johnny Mercer Theatre that starts at 7:30 PM. But where to eat, how to get to the restaurant, and back to theatre on time for the concert while making it easy, no stress, fun, relaxing, taste enthralling, thrilling, care free, laid back, exciting, entertaining, safe, and logistically possible? Well, let's see Sweetpea. How about we arrive at 4:30 PM, and park at the Liberty Street Parking garage, right accross the street from the Johnny Mercer Theatre. Easy, check. Next we get an Uber to the Six Pence Pub. Why? No stress, check. We start our meal, with one of their adventuresome, tasty, cocktails which are all fantastic. "But how about getting to the Concert?" Right now, we're having some fun hanging out with our friends and catching up. Fun, check. Please remember Poindexter (I.e. my name for my conscience), we're not driving until after the concert is over which leaves us about five hours to recover from our cocktail before dinner, or two, you Devil you! Relaxing, check. We next get to experience eating some of the most delicious food in Savannah, GA. From the Crab Cake, to the Scotch Eggs, to the Smoked Salmon to their bombastic Broiled Portabella, their appetizers were both savory and palette pleasing. Then our companions had their outstanding, tastebud tintilating, French Onion and Chicken Noddle soups which are both made from scratch. Yea, yea, French Onion and Chicken Noodle soup, big deal. If you have not had it, I am here to tell you, there is nothing ordinary about either, as both were very delicious. We then dined on their Open Roast Beef, their Tender Pot Roast, their Atlantic Salmon all of which offered a very pleasing, tremendous taste in their own right. However, the Broiled flounder stuffed with shrimp and scallops was so exceptional, we ordered another two of these entrees so we could all share this dish as part of each of our meals. Taste enthralling, check. Please note, I did not write the words, "Pub Food" above as the Six Pence Pub's fare will thrill your tastebuds right down to the last morsel. Thrilling, check. Our Server was exceptional, timely, and personable. Care free, check. Our ambience was simply Pub delightful! Laid back, check. But then the bill came and lo and behold our friend had to stand and do a little Irish jig, or did he have to go to the bathroom?... Nah, it was the very reasonable pricing that pleased us all as we scampered to catch our Uber. No, wait a minute, we did not dine and dash. We would never dine and dash. We tipped our Server handsomely, paid our bill, and then we all scampered to catch our Uber as we were all feeling wonderful. Exciting, check. We made the show with twenty-five minutes to spare, which left us enough time to buy our lovely dinner companions a show Tee Shirt to memorialize our evening together. Our show was extremely entertaining which thrilled us all, to no end. Thanks Steve and Martin, you're the best! Thrilling, and entertaining, double check. Logic dictates that when we were able to throughly enjoy our evening while having an easy, no stress, fun, relaxing, taste enthralling, thrilling, care free, laid back, exciting, entertaining time that it is, in fact, logistically possible. Logistically possible, check. And yes, we were safely able to enjoy our ride home while we all talked about how much we enjoyed our evening together. Safe, check. So what is the acronym or memory mnemonic here? ENSFRTETCFLBEESL But how do you pronounce it? Ya'll figure it out. I did almost all the work here in writing this review, lol. Enjoy!

I definitely do not regret our decision as we had a great meal. The interior ambiance of the restaurant truly transports to another place, it is truly beautiful. We started with the Espresso Martini and non-alcoholic French 75 (my first time) and these were both great. For appetizers, we had the crab croquettes (cakes), escargots and caesar salad. Everything was delicious (including the complimentary bread) , and to our surprise the Caesar salad had a nice crunch with the addition of fried frog leg pieces (if I'm not mistaken). The main entrees were the stars of the night, while we were originally inclined to try their Steak & Frites, our server recommended the steak tips sautéed over mushroom sauce with pasta and this was the perfect match instead of the classical French fries pairing. We also had the Supreme Roasted Chicken with caramelized veggies and everything was cooked to perfection. We did not leave without dessert and tried their Créme Brûlée, and while it was runnier than usual, the flavor was there. We thought it needed more time.
